My truck did not come with the factory sub so I figured this would add a little extra. It added a little extra but I'm not impressed. The range isn't that great and it's not the clearest sound. I've used kicker many times before and expected much better for the price. I'm using it for now but will upgrade soon.

Perfect for the cab size and to complement the five speaker kicker kit for the f150 and your not going the rattle the neighbors windows, I installed it behind the back seat fits perfectly I made a custom bracket to mount it to the cab floor

Customer Question Will this subwoofer work with a 2018 ford focus st? If so, how does it get wired into the factory speakers?

Customer Answer This subwoofer is a universal kit, and will work with most vehicles on the market. If you are trying to connect to a factory stereo/speakers, you will most likely need a line out converter to connect to the factory speakers so you have some RCA connections for the amplifier side of it.

Customer Answer The Hideway comes with wiring for tapping into the speakers and running power to your battery, but it is semi-universal and will require splicing.

Customer Question Would I be able to use this in my 2013 f-150 limited edition with the Sony system?

Customer Answer Technically, yes. However, it won't directly replace the stock Sony Sub and has a universal install that will require you to tap a bass source and run your own power to your truck's battery.

Customer Question Would this make a thump good enough for a 15 Convertible GT? The shaker system in it certainly don't!

Customer Answer Probably not as a replacement for the Shaker System's subwoofer, but if you tied the Hideaway into your car in conjunction with the shaker, you'd probably see a noticeable improvement. Granted, if you're looking for a really aggressive bass sound and response, you'd probably be better off going a custom route.

Customer Answer The SubStage kits tend to be a bit more responsive. The SubStage systems with 10" woofers have more punch and volume, though the SubStage kits with the 8" woofers are only slightly louder and more punchy since their subwoofers aren't fully enclosed.

Customer Answer We can't guarantee that the subwoofer will fit under the front seats of any vehicle do to variations between manual, powered, heated, and cooled seats and their clearances. The subwoofer measures 13-7/8" x 3-1/8" x 9-3/8", so if you can verify that much room and you're able to route the wiring, you may be able to get it to work.

Customer Answer There's no real reason why you couldn't, if that's the setup you're going for. I haven't personally heard what a pair of these sound like hooked into the same system, so I can't really guarantee what kind of sound you'll get.

Customer Answer I don't believe so. The enclosure is actually fairly tall and will probably interfere with the mechanical seat adjustments.

Customer Answer Installation is not much different than any other aftermarket subwoofer out there. Find a place to install the enclosure, get it bolted or strapped down, tap a bass source, and then run power out to your battery. Kicker does include pretty good instructions with the kit.

Customer Answer The Hideaway subwoofer is a universal subwoofer system and will work with practically any vehicle or audio system. You'll just need to run power and tap a source for the bass, like you would any generic subwoofer, but the system should work fine with a 2015 F150.

Customer Answer The subwoofer is 13-7/8" x 3-1/8" x 9-3/8". If you have powered seats, then I don't believe it will fit. It might fit under manually adjusted seats, if you don't have footwell air vents, but you'd need to be extremely careful and clever with how you route your wiring. Even then, I can't guarantee that it'll fit under the front seats at all.

Customer Question I have a 2014 f150 4 door pickup w the ford lcd screen radio system, it's not however the touch screen one. Truck has only factory system. I would like to get more bass from the system, I have been told that the kicker box can cause the my ford factory system to crash, is that true? What is the best option from products on your site to install that would not cause an issue w the factory system and be the easiest to install as the truck is a lease, so I dont want to slice or cut anything. Thanks

Customer Answer That would be the first I've heard of any crashing. With a proper install of this subwoofer, you shouldn't have any issues. Just tap a speaker and run power out to your battery. Your head unit and its operation should not be affected.

Customer Question i have already ordered the door speaker replacement kit. I don't necessarily about having a knocking bass but want to get the best sound quality and most volume I can out of my main door speakers. Will this help those speakers sound louder with the 150W amp like the Powerstage subsystem says it will?

Customer Answer Here's your problem: the 150W amp that comes with this subwoofer is built into the sub enclosure and only powers the subwoofer. If you want some extra juice for your door speakers, then your best bet would be either a Powestage system for your vehicle, or for you to use this subwoofer and pick up another standalone Kicker amp for your door speakers.

Customer Answer It's highly unlikely due to the low positioning of those seats and all of their mechanical components, especially the powered seats or seats with optional heating elements. It may be possible, but I would strongly urge you to measure the living heck of the area you have under there before ordering.
