Customer Question How can this fit with the stock wheels and tires? Wheel spacers?

Asked by: DLEE - 2/12/2021
Customer Answer You would require at least a 1.00" wheel spacer to clear the stock wheels and tires. However, we generally recommend using a 1.50" wheel spacer in order to avoid stud trimming.

Customer Question Does this work with aftermarket springs like the Deavers? The Deavers get rid of the rear blocks so if this kit includes 4" blocks will this be an issue? Do I need to return to stock leaf springs to use this kit. Question 2, back spacing needs to be 5" minimum? or will 4.56" work with a spacer?

Asked by: Ray - 8/9/2020
Customer Answer The Deavers will be an issue, however, you do not necessarily need to remove them. You would just need a smaller block to maintain the correct rear lift and likely some custom U-bolts to fit both the Deavers and your choice of block. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about your Deaver part number and how much lift you want to run in the rear of your truck. As for you wheels, this kit requires a wheel with a maximum of a 5" backspace to clear a 12.50" wide tire, so a wheel with a 4.56" backspace will work just fine.

Customer Question I am looking to buy new suspension all around my truck, I am looking at king 3 inch shocks. Will those fit this lift? They are designed to drop right into the stock suspension. And if this lift is designed for the stock shocks, they should fit together in theory. Am I correct?

Asked by: Johnny P - 7/8/2020
Customer Answer The Kings will technically bolt up to this kit's strut spacers and rear shock extensions. There are two problems, though 1). The Kings have extra ride height out of the box, which may cause issues and give you rear rake. 2). You may have to find a new mounting location for the coilover's reservoirs, since the ride height change may not leave you with enough hose for their normal/recommended mounting locations.

Customer Question Well I be able to use the same tires just different rims

Asked by: Jerry - 4/22/2019
Customer Answer As long as your choice of wheels meets BDS's 5" backspacing requirements, you'll be able to reuse the stock 315/70R17 or a 35x12.50R17.

Asked by: Omar - 4/16/2017
Customer Answer According to BDS, you would not be able to reuse your factory wheels with this lift kit.
