Install went smooth and uneventful. Took about 10 hours. Started the install and hired out the rest. My programmer was blank and after 2 days the program edelbrock provided was junk. After numerous attempts to get some help from edelbrock, I had to spend my rebate on a custom dyno tune. 430hp and 419 tq on the ground!

Customer Question can i purchase the tensioner and idler pulley bracket seperate? my tensioner pulley bolt broke and damaged the bracket during extraction

Customer Answer You would have to reach out directly to the manufacturer (Edelbrock/Holley) to just purchase pieces of the kit. We would not just have components pieces available.

Customer Question I currently have an SCT X4 with 5* tunes I purchased from S3MS. Is it possible to get a custom tune for this SC kit and not use the included tuner?

Customer Question I noticed that the air filter is a drop in. How easy is it to use/get an aftermarket CAI for this kit? Also if an exhaust/headers were to be added how is tuning accomplished with the provided tuner?

Customer Answer It's not overly difficult to install an aftermarket cold air intake kit or open-air filter, though your choices are going to be fairly limited due to the way the supercharger inlet and throttle body are positioned. Basically, you'll only be able to use more basic air box replacement cold air intake systems like the Airaid SynthaFlow and Airaid SynthMax Kits or the aFe Stage 1 series. The tuner included in the package does not have tuning out of the box for long tube headers or aftermarket mid-pipes. You would need a custom tune either emailed to you or from a chassis dyno if you're installing long tube headers.

Customer Question with your kit how much horsepower will it add?

Customer Answer Edelbrock gained about 120 horsepower and 100lb-ft of torque to the wheels of the truck they used for dyno testing, which was a 4WD truck. A 2WD F150 could potentially see more, due to less drivetrain loss.

Customer Question It looks like Edelbrock measures HP and torque at the rear wheels while Roush measures at the crank. How do they compare when measured in the same manner? I am having trouble finding info on the upgrades you talk about with the Edelbrock to boost HP also. Thanks

Customer Answer It's tough to say what the crankshaft power would be between the two, given that drivetrain losses vary greatly between RWD and 4WD drive trucks, and I'm not totally sure which Edelbrock used for their system. Edelbrock has pulley's ranging in size from 4.125" down to 2.75" which can be used to increase the boost pressure of the kit. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 if you have further questions or to order a system in conjunction with a smaller pulley.

Customer Question How will this kit affect day to day MPG?

Customer Answer You'll most likely see a drop in fuel economy with this system, both because it takes engine power in order to actually make it work and because of how most folks tend to drive after it's been installed.

Customer Question I like the 2.9 whipple supercharger for the f-150 5.0 2014. will it fit under the hood and are you able to sell one? I want to still pull about 7000 thousand pounds up to 9000 and would like to put 33 12.5 on the truck. any info on transfer case and or transmission would be helpful. I would like to put a 16 psi pulley on the supercharger. Thank you for your input.

Customer Answer The 2.9L Whipple for the 2011 to 2015 F150 5.0Ls will be released later this year or early next year, and all we really have right now are initial renderings and proof-of-concepts. Once we have more concrete information, we'll get the system added to the site and then we'll able to give you much more solid information on how it'll effect towing and what kind of power it'll generate.

Customer Question What if I have already installed your phase 4 package (with the Boss 302R manifold, 85mm BBK TB, full SW exhaust system, and SCT livewire tuner), and want to upgrade to the edlebrock superchanger after? I would obviously have no need of the Boss 302R maninfold anymore, but I could use all the other parts right? Would I need custom tuning for this application or would the edlebrock supplied tuner adapt? Would 5star be able to write a tune for this? I'm in Canada if that makes a difference?

Customer Answer You'd actually need to lose the manifold, throttle body and intake in order to get the Edelbrock kit to work. You could make some of your money back by reselling it, but it's still not the most cost-efficient blower option for the modifications you already have. If I were in your situation, I'd look into one of our ProCharger kits. That way, you'd only lose the intake. Everything else would be compatible (though I think you may need a different coupler for the throttle body to charge tubing).

Either way, you'd need custom tuning. If you do end up going the ProCharger route, we'd recommend getting a dyno tune. If you end up staying with Edelbrock, then you can call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 to go over possible tuning options.

Customer Question What other pulleys are available and how much more power is added? I am trying to decide between this kit and the Roush kit.

Customer Answer Edelbrock makes pulleys that range is size from 4.125" down to 2.75". I don't have specific power gains on the pulleys alone, but I do know that the Edelbrock supercharger does make more power per psi than the Roush TVS series.

Which system do you offer that has the best hp ratings and has future capabilities for upgrades? Which one would you suggest? Immediate buyer. if needed . Thx. John

Customer Answer The Roush supercharger makes more power out of the box than this kit, however, Edelbrock's E-Force kit makes more power per psi, and we carry both the pulleys and tuning necessary to turn the E-Force kits up a few notches.
