2012 Ford F-150
Great product. The kit came with everything that was needed to install the kit down to the last washer and bolt. This setup performs amazingly. First time I steeped in the middle of it I was blown away. A pickup shouldn't run like that I would highly recommend this kit if your wanting sports car performance out of your f150

2013 F150
Fit and finish of this kit is top notch. Takes some patience to get the tubing alignment right, but it clears everything when done. Manual, and packing sheet are extremely well done and accurate. The kit’s packing was well done, no damage at all. Pro charger was really responsive with tuning. Once installed, the kit is very streetable and mild mannered down low, absolutely howls up high. Great for a DD.

Customer Question If I have a pedal commander will it effect the tune or pro charger at all?

Asked by: Ty - 2/13/2025
Customer Answer The tune itself will already have changes to the throttle sensitivity, so you will most likely not need to use the pedal commander, however you can still use it after you have the tune loaded.

Customer Question Can this kit potentially help get better fuel economy over the other superchargers on the market? What kind of mpg are we looking at with this?

Asked by: Wes Leiter - 6/4/2022
Customer Answer Technically, you may be able to gain some MPG with this supercharger system, but 1). You're probably not going to gain much more than just getting a good tune and driving easy. 2). The only way to get improved gas mileage with this is to drive it pretty easy, which defeats a lot of its purpose. Your much better and cost-effective bet would be a good custom tune.

Customer Question Can the stage 2 kit be upgraded to a d1x head unit?

Asked by: David - 6/24/2018
Customer Answer This particular kit can't come with a D-1SC, since it's a complete kit that includes tuning and fuel upgrades. Only the Stage 2 Tuner Kit can be upgraded to a D1 head unit. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 for further options or other possible solutions.

Customer Question I have a boss 302 intake (90mm bbk)and long tubes on my 2011 fx4 would I need a custom Kit ?

Asked by: Ernie Marody - 4/10/2018
Customer Answer You would absolutely need the tuner kit, your own fuel injectors, and a tune on a chassis dyno.

Customer Question What fuel tubes come with the tuner from procharger, and what all parameters can be adjusted with said tuner? Is it not possible to use their tuner and a sct?

Asked by: Andy - 3/20/2018
Customer Answer The ProCharger Kit reuses the stock fuel rails, though it does come with larger fuel injectors. The kit comes with an SCT X4, but parameter adjustments are limited. If you already have an SCT tuner, we may be able to have ProCharger send an email tune instead of a full device, but you'll have to call us directly at 623-434-5277 to put in a custom order.

Customer Question Is there any other supporting mods needed for reliability or function ? Im concerned about the stock fuel pump .

Asked by: Todd Darminio - 2/25/2018
Customer Answer There are not. The factory fuel pump can handle the additional power without any issues. The only things we generally recommend with this kit is to make sure your truck's up-to-date on maintenance and that any little problem that you may have been putting off gets taken care of. If you have concerns about your factory fuel pump's current operation, then you may want to have it looked at or replaced before you install the ProCharger Kit.

Customer Question Is the tune with 87, 89, or 93 octane and can I use e85?

Asked by: David - 5/31/2017
Customer Answer ProCharger's included tune is for 91 octane or higher gasoline. If you want to use E85, you'd need a custom tune.

Customer Question I've read the other questions about getting a custom dynontune. The only mods done to my 2013 so far is I cut out the stock muffler and resonator and replaced them with a glass pack. Has a nice clean tone and not obnoxious sounding and way cheaper than an entire system. Anyway, will I still NEED a custom tune? Personally I don't think it would be required as everything else is bone stock at 89K miles. However if it is then please educate myself and the rest of us weekend mechanics haha

Asked by: Chris - 4/30/2017
Customer Answer Nope. You would not need a custom dyno tune in order to use this kit on your truck. In general, you do not need a dyno tune for cat-backs or muffler modifications. Only with aftermarket mid-pipes, headers, throttle bodies, intake manifolds, or other modifications that have fairly significant implications for airflow and power.

Customer Question Was this kit ever CARB approved? I noticed EO# D-365-8 was issued on CARB website.

Asked by: Christian - 2/27/2017
Customer Answer This kit was just recently approved by CARB under EO# D-365-8, and is now 50-state street legal with ProCharger's standard hardware and tuning.

Customer Question Will your stock fuel pump be able to handle the power this system puts out or will you need a boost-a-pump or more powerful fuel pump?

Asked by: Mike o - 1/2/2017
Customer Answer The factory fuel pump can handle the output of this kit without modifications.

Customer Question If I have a boss 302 manifold and long tubes already, should I get this kit or the tuner kit?

Asked by: Kraig - 3/10/2016
Customer Answer Definitely the tuner kit. You're going to need a tune on a chassis dyno, as ProCharger's included tuning can't handle the Boss Manifold or your long tubes. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get you the correct fuel injectors, which will need to be purchased separately.

Customer Question i already have the sct live wire tuner on my truck can i keep that tuner and download the tunes to it or do i have to use the tuner provided with the kit when purchased? or can price be reduced and not get the tuning device if i already have the sct live wire tuner and just download the tunes

Asked by: ivan iturbe - 1/7/2016
Customer Answer Unfortunately, the tuning device that ProCharger includes in the kit can't be removed for a reduced cost. Your only options are to either do a tuner kit and seek a custom tune locally, or to return your vehicle to stock with your current tuning device and then sell it on a forum or locally.

Customer Question Could the supercharger be bolted to cobra jet intake manifold?

Asked by: Ali - 12/22/2015
Customer Answer Not without modifications, and regardless, the tuning included with the ProCharger system can't account for the Cobra Jet Manifold. You'd be much better off grabbing the Tuner Kit version of this system, so you can source fuel injectors and a dyno tune separately, if you already have the Cobra Jet Manifold.

Customer Question Can you guys recommend someone in my area that can install your pro charger system in my f150? Ocala, Florida

Asked by: Paul - 12/6/2015
Customer Answer Really, any shop with ASE-certified technicians should be able to install this kit without too much of a hassle. The shop we used to film our own install managed to get the job done in 5 hours, though 6 to 8 is the quoted time from ProCharger.

Customer Question How much torque would this kit add to my 2014 f150?

Asked by: Shawn - 10/24/2015
Customer Answer That all depends on drivetrain configuration, available fuel octane, ambient conditions, and your truck's other modifications. Our own 2012 F150 5.0L FX4 Project truck picked up over 105lb-ft of torque at its rear wheels after installation of the kit, though it was 4WD and using 91 octane fuel. You could potentially see more RWTQ on a 2WD truck using 93 octane gas.

Customer Question Is this California street legal? I know the Edelbrock is but it makes far less HP.

Asked by: Dave B - 10/5/2015
Customer Answer The kit is not CARB-Approved as of yet. The this system (and ProCharger's High-Output Kit) were sent in for CARB testing, and there should be word on whether they'll be approved and get an EO number here in the next couple of weeks.

Customer Question Will this kit work with a Boss 302 Intake Manifold? If so, do you have SCT tunes to bring it all together?

Asked by: Joe - 3/15/2015
Customer Answer The kit will fit with a Boss 302 Manifold, however, tuning for the manifold is not included as standard, and you'll need to get a tune from a local dyno shop or a custom tuner of your choice.

Customer Question What's the difference between forward and rear inlet? And which is better? Also how many boost psi does this get build?

Asked by: Brooks - 8/20/2014
Customer Answer The rear inlet option means that the filter and inlet tubing are located behind the head unit toward the firewall. The front inlet option is that wrap-around style that you see on our red 5.0L and most of the installed images in our gallery. The rear inlet is arguably less restrictive, but the forward inlet locates the filter in roughly the factory air box location so you don't have a big, gaping chasm of nothing in your engine bay. It's really just a matter of personal preference. Out of the box, this ProCharger kit produces up to 9psi of boost pressure.

Customer Question Will I need to upgrade the transmission, transfer case or torque converter to handle the power if I bought this kit?

Asked by: Chris - 8/13/2014
Customer Answer From our experience, your truck's transmission and driveline will hold up just fine with the factory components. However, if you're a real track rat and are going to be doing a ton of hard launches and/or heavily upgrading either the supercharger and your truck, then you may want to consider beefier transmission and drivetrain hardware.

Customer Question Which procharger kit will give the most hp and work best with stock engine?

Asked by: Robert 2013 f150 5.0 - 5/1/2014
Customer Answer This kit will give you the most straight-out-of-the-box horsepower and torque among ProCharger's complete kits. That being said, you can potentially get bigger power gains by grabbing the Stage 2 Tuner kit, putting on a smaller supercharger pulley, and then getting the injectors and tuning you need for both the blower and downsized pulley. Give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 to go over all your options.

Customer Question What warranties are included with this supercharger.?)Also I would like some feedback as to if this is the best supercharger for my specific truck?

Asked by: Kevin gonzalez and 2013 f150 stx v8/5.0 - 4/18/2014
Customer Answer The system itself is covered by a 1-year Limited Warranty, but ProCharger does offer extended warranties and even aftermarket warranties through Cornerstone. You can read about them on our blog. As far as system choice is concerned, it really depends more on what you're planning on doing with your truck. If you're not going to be upgrading much after the blower, then maybe one of the 530 horsepower High Output Kits would be a better choice. If you're going to immediately jump into other upgrades like long tube headers, smaller pulleys, and other gear, then the Stage II Intercooled Tuner Kit would probably be a better value. That all being said, this complete kit is a pretty good bang-for-your-buck and will respond well to any upgrades you make down the road.
