2013-2019 Focus ST Engine Internals: How to Remedy Vibration and Wheel Hop
The 2.0L EcoBoost under your Focus ST's hood pumps out a lot of power from the factory, and it can only go up from there. In fact, once you start messing around with PCM tuning and bolt-on power-adders, you can quickly overwhelm your factory motor mounts causing issues with driveability like vibration and wheel hop.
Our very own 2016 Focus ST project car was suffering from these very issues, so we took to the aftermarket in search of a solution.

We knew early on that our 2016 Focus ST build would end up acquiring quite a bit more power than stock, which is why we also knew we'd have to upgrade the air intake setup to keep everything at a healthy temperature. To that end, we installed K&N's Oiled Filter combined with MBRP's Air Intake Kit to ensure a stronger, more efficient flow of air to your EcoBoost engine.
