Designed for F150 with OEM Projector Headlights

2013 to 2014 F150s in the upper submodel ranges come standard from the factory with projector headlights, some with HID kits. While this does provide a pretty cool look, they're a pain to modify or replace if your truck gets into an accident. Our friends over at Recon have a solution for you with these awesome Projector Headlights with Ultra High-Powered Amber LED Turn Signals. Each headlight comes standard with a specially designed projector lens that accepts both the OEM halogen and HID bulbs of the 2013 to 2014 F150 Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, FX2, FX4, or SVT Raptors. Recon tops these awesome F150 headlights off with stylized smooth LED running lights with a chromed housing that provides a subtle, OE-Style look.

Accepts Both Stock Halogen and HID Bulbs

This pair of Recon Projector Headlights drop right into place of the stock projector lights of your F150 with absolutely no modifications. The lights accept your truck's factory bulbs and feature extremely simple wiring for the unique LED stripes that run across the housing. Recon's headlights also feature ultra high-powered Amber LED Turn Signals which replace the OEM single-bulb style. These F150 projector headlights reuse your truck's stock mounts and hardware for a quick, hassle-free, plug-and-play installation that makes your truck look awesome and stand out from the rest.

OE Projectors Only: These headlights will only fit 2013 to 2014 F150s that came from the factory with projector headlights (either halogen or HIDs), and will not fit lower submodels with reflector lenses. Call 623-434-5277 for more information.

Recon's Warranty: Recon offers a 90-Day Limited Warranty for manufacturing defects, including condensation. These lights do have a breather vent that allows for pressure changes, which can trap some amount of moisture and cause condensation problems. I have a busted headlight Housing on my 2013 HID model F150 - the headlight still works. Is this the housing I would order to replace the busted one? Does it come as a pair?

This is a pair of headlights that come with everything except the factory HID system, and you can absolutely use them to replace a broken stock Bi-Xenon HID headlight.

Can these be compatible with the halogen reflectors (2012) if you use a wiring relay harness like you would if you retrofited projectors in a halogen housing, or like the harness that comes with the C-Style bar headlights (part #: F150CSTYLE) and hooked up HIDs?

Finally got some confirmation from Recon, sorry for the delay. Anyway, as long as you were to source your own Ford OEM/OEM-equivalent D3S HID system and then used the correct relay harness, you could get these lights to work on your 2012 F150 with halogen reflectors. The only downside, is that the lights are already not super cheap, and that other hardware will greatly add onto the expense. Are these real running lights or do they only work through your parking lights?

You can technically wire them anywhere you want, though Recon's instructions only go into detail about tying them into the parking light wiring. You could just extend the wiring for the LED strips and drop them into a fuse or any other location you want to get a "true" DRL function, if you so choose.

Would I have to do any adjustments to the lights after I nstal them. Would I have to re-aim them or will the just go in and be correct beam placement on the road? I hope I said that right...

They should come pre-aimed, but you can aim them using the standard adjustment screws if they are off for any reason.

How do I know what type of lights my 2013 F-150 XLT Ecoboost has? Will this fit my truck?

Basically, if your truck's headlights look like this, then it has reflectors, and these headlights won't work for you. If they look like this, then you have projectors.
