I found out about when I saw them on a neighbors F 250 in red. But I must say that the F-150's in white are awesome. They were super easy to install and look awesome. Every were I go I get looks and or questions. Even the ford dealer is asking questions and all the staff are wanting a set as well.. Great product and to OEM specs on the money! You got to own a pair!

I have had the Recon illumated side emblems for a few weeks now. So far so good! Love the look, gives the truck a nice unique look at night and even during the day having the emblem match the white body color of the truck. Install was pretty easy. Took about 1:30-2 hours to get both emblems on. I wires the emblems to my dog lights so I would have the option of turning them off if I wanted to. Overall seems like a very solid product!

First, another great purchase from stage 3 !! I have installed a lot of led lights on my truck, fogs, tail lights,parking lights and more. These illuminated emblems are by far the best upgrade I've done with LEDs. They look amazing, can't wait to see them at night!! If anyone is interested in these, don't hesitate to buy them, you won't regret it! Thanks again stage 3!!!

These emblems look very good. I am impressed and the visual they give my truck. I am a little worried about the strength of the double sided tape not holding up. But so far I've been through three high pressure car washes and they have held strong.

Black with white. On my 2014 f150 white xlt . I have it on a on / off relay on a STV motorsports rocker switch. It is bright but not too bright . I love them and get asked about them everywhere. They are very cool!!!! Highly recommended ! Would buy for every truck to come !!! Seem good thru rain storms and hand wash car washed !!! Which is a plus. Compared to my cheap a** Amazon lightbars !

I had my local Best Buy install the emblems. They have completed all my electronic mods. FYI, they told me the driver's side emblem pin was off by 1/8 of an inch, but they were able to install. The passenger side emblem pins were off by much more and absolutely would not fit into the predrilled fender holes. They cut the pins off to ensure a proper install without pinching the power cord. Stage3Motorsports response: That will be fine. The 3M tape is what holds it in place anyway. For whatever reason, the Limited has different holes then the other trim options. Beside the misfit, they look great.

Pretty disappointed. After doing my own research, and finding out only 'Limited' trim levels of the F150 had different fender badge cut outs, I pulled the trigger on this item for my 2014 XLT FX4. Interestingly enough, the drivers side was perfect. However, the passenger side guide-holes were the correct fit, yet the wiring that came out of the emblem was over an inch off alignment! How does that even happen when the drivers side was perfect fitment? Due to this, I had to grind the pins off the emblem, but apparently I did not grind enough off as the emblem did not seat flush and is now coming off. Pretty upset and buy at your own risk. I was told these would fit and they did not.

2010 Ford F-150 XLT
My friend and I both bought a set for our trucks. He has a 2010 XLT his is a 2014 XLT. Both of us like them but are very disappointed in the fit and finish of these things for the price. First, the plugs don’t fit through the holes in the truck. We had to make the hole on the passenger side bigger to get the plug through and make the wire fit too. On the drivers side we figure out that you can trim plastic from the plugs to make them sit and the hole is positioned so the wire fits without modifications to the truck. Considering our trucks had the same exact sized holes and they are 4 years apart, it seems ford has t changed anything and these should’ve been built to fit. It should be noted that ours have 4 colors (red, white, blue and Amber) considering some are only 3 color those plugs might be smaller. The next issue is that the double sided tape used to affix them to the trucks was actually coming off the emblems out of the box. When you put the emblems on the truck, the tape coming off made it impossible to have a clean line attached to the truck. It looks like crap. Not a $307 accessory. The final complaint is the same with almost all accessories we purchased for our trucks: the wire they use is way too small/thin. Makes it very hard to work with and we question how well it will perform over the years. At night, when you can’t see how poor they attach to the truck, they look great. Regardless, even cool night looks can’t overcome the ugly daytime views. We’d likely feel different has these been appropriately priced around $125 (no more than $150) we’d likely be able to look past the poor fit and finish but not $307. We plan to look for ways to better affix them to to trucks so they look good in daylight and we don’t have to worry about them coming lose after a few trips in rough weather.

I originally ordered these and the first set was bowed outward. I sent pictures to Stage 3 showing the part was flawed and the contacted Recon and had a new set sent to me. The new set I received fit perfect and works great. Stage 3 was awesome to work with and also noticed had badly flared the first set I received was. The second set went on great

Customer Answer Unfortunately, these emblems don't use traditional bulbs that can be replaced. They use LED boards built into their housings, and your only recourse would be to have the emblem replaced. Customer Answer With the revised version of these lights that allow for color-switching, it's just the LED board's diodes that cause the change in color. The "lens" is just an off-white color to allow the LEDs' colors to show through.

Customer Answer The emblem has selectable colors now and comes with a switch that lets you pick whatever color you want. The only color option you can choose is the color of the surrounding badge, which can be either black or chrome.

Customer Answer The emblems will physically fit and cover the holes left by the stock emblems on a 2006 F150. It's just that the emblems are styled after the OEM emblems on the 2009-2014 F150s, are meant for those trucks. We actually put a set of these on our 2007 F150 Project Truck without any issues.

Customer Answer Street legality of these side emblems can vary widely, as local ordinances regarding vehicle lighting can be remarkably different due to Federal, state, county, and city laws regarding it. Your best bet would be to talk directly to local law enforcement and see what your local statutes are regarding vehicle lighting. Customer Answer These emblems will work on the 2004 to 2008 F150s. The black truck above is a 2007 model. The emblems themselves are just styled after the 2009 to 2014 F150s, but they'll fit back to at least 2004. There's really not a huge difference in installation, either.

Customer Question I have a 2014 F-150 XLT with a side emblem that includes "XLT" Will this work with my truck? Can I add a blue-colored bulb?

Customer Answer The emblem will fit just fine, it just won't have the "XLT" lettering that your factory emblem has. Since the emblem uses an LED board instead of a typical bulb, the colors can't be changed, and blue is currently available due to DOT regulations regarding blue lighting for law enforcement only.

Customer Answer The wiring ties into the parking light wiring of your truck's headlight, assuming you want to do a standard installation according to Recon's instructions.

Customer Question what would connect it to? would this work for a 1993 ford f-150?

Customer Answer On an install on the 2009-2014 F150s, they tie into the parking light wiring, though they can also tap into just about any 12V source. I can't guarantee that they'll fit properly on the 1993 F150s, due to the fact I'm not sure how well Recon's side emblem would cover the stock holes left in the fender.

Customer Answer I wouldn't say "any". We haven't confirmed fitment for the 2015 F150s, or F150s built before 2004. It will work just fine on the 2004 to 2008 F150s and 2009 to 2014 F150s, regardless of submodel or engine option.

Customer Answer That largely depends on how you're wiring them up in order to run, but your best bet would be to talk to your state DMV or MVD, or your local Police/Sheriff and see what their regulations are. Unfortunately, many of Texas' driving ordinances vary county by county.

Customer Answer I believe the emblems will technically fit, however, you would need to remove your Lightning emblems to get them on properly, and Recon does not currently manufacture illuminated SVT Lightning Emblems, unfortunately.

Customer Answer A pair of pliers. The kit comes with quick-taps for splicing the wiring, unless you're really into soldering and heat shrink, then you shouldn't need anything else.

Customer Answer Out of the box, no. There's not enough wiring to make it into any turn signal or mirror marker leads. If you do some custom wiring and splicing, then it may be possible.
