Installation was a breeze and just used a strap across the back and mounted in original holes. They look good, no cutting and sound great with the Kicker speaker system. Total time on these about 20 minutes.

I bought these to finish off the kicker set and sub I purchased here. Install: The install isn't for the faint of heart. The pillar just pops off and if you have the grab handle, there are two easy bolts to pull there. After that you WILL have to cut the existing speaker out and splice into the wire. The speaker itself is also not plug and play requiring you to either make a strap to mount it on the inside of the pillar, or like me, dremel a small amount of material out of the pillar to fit the speaker in from the outside. There are no instructions provided so you will have to make sure you hook the right wires up to the right wires. Sound: The sound is ok, but if you have a full system like I do, you won't hear much difference to be honest. However, this does give you better highs but it is drowned out with heavy bass. Rock and country fans will hear a difference, but those who prefer heavy bass music might not. Overall: Recommended if you cannot afraid of going a little custom on your truck. The stock speakers are crap compared to these.

I installed these tweeters about a month ago - after the Kicker door speakers and before the kicker subwoofer (I just installed the subwoofer yesterday). Every upgrade made a difference but all together the Kicker system sounds amazing! It is a significant improvement from the stock system. I used the Dremel trick that a couple of guys here used and it worked great. I widened the existing hole on the A-pillar, doing it little by little so the new tweeter fit snug when inserted. To hold the tweeter firmly from the back I used one of the sets of plastic fittings provided that had the wavy lip on the edge. The tweeter screws into the fitting to hold it firmly together. Since the A-pillar moulding is angled, the back fitting barely fits into the back side. The fit is so tight I had to Dremel off the wavy part of the fitting so the back side could turn as I screwed the tweeter in from the front. You don't have to Dremel the wavy lip down, but then you will be won't be able to twist and adjust the tweeter so the K logo in the center is even because however you screw the tweeter into the back that's the way it will end up. By Dremeling the back wavy lip you can twist the whole unit to have the K logo even. (The tweeters that you get have the Kicker K logo in the center). A bit of a pain was trying to find a place where all of the excess wiring will go inside the trim. I wrapped the wires with paper towels so the wires wouldn't rattle against the hard plastic trim. Door speakers great improvement; tweeters decent improvement; subwoofer with aforementioned upgrades = massive improvement! For about $1,000 total - get the whole system; it is well worth it.

Great upgrade. Does require some dremmil use to make the stock opening larger then you screw the new speakers in. For the wiring my truck has two wires: the red/green stock wire I soldered to the black/grey from kicker tweeter and then the stock green wire to the grey from kicker wire.

These might seem a little pricey for what they are but I gaurentee you they are 100% worth it. Whether you’re listening to rock or hip hop the high range percussion (high hats etc) sound incredibly clear and precise. The install was a slight Hastle since they don’t come with mounts but I just cut a piece of sheet aluminum and bent it to mimic the factory mount and it came out great! (Probably stronger than the factory mount since those are made of plastic) Would definitely recommend this product as an add on to the other 4/5 speakers depending what truck you have.

I purchased these as part of replacing everything stock with Kicker. The sound quality is very clear, and I chose to re-use the plug from the stock tweeters by cutting and splicing the crossover and speaker wires into the plug. I made a band to hold these tweeters flush against the stock A-pillar screens so as to maintain the stock appearance. If I would have chosen to mount the speakers using their intended mounts, I would have needed to hollow out the lip around the A-pillar mount. Sound quality is excellent, and they compliment the KS Series 6x8s and SubStage System. I would recommend them as an addition to any Kicker speaker setup.

2012 F-150 LARIAT W/Sony-nav
Nice edition to the full kicker upgrade, noticeable upgrade from the Sony's, with the windows up its like a reflection off either one with clarity hitting you in the ear. One thing not shown in the pic is the kicker K that comes on the grille. I like it because when friends get in they notice the sound and then see the tweeters. With a strap as others have mentioned looks stock. Great costumer service as well.

The Tweeters were exactly what I was missing, they sound great! I just installed the kicker sub and the highs were not there. My door speakers (mids) are not kicker but infinity. As others stated, slowly dremmel the factory hole out and just slide it into place. There is no need to use fasteners etc if you do this. The factory wire harness and capacitor are located in the panels locacted by the door vents just below the pillars. Use the factory harness below the factory capacitor. I zip tied all wires in the panels on of the clip holes. Its an easy install but be careful, I broke the top clip on the drivers pillar.

Install was a little tricky. Had to find the factory crossovers and remove that whole section of harness as to remove those crossovers. The a pillars needed to be dremmelled out a bit to get them to fit. Once installed and wired correctly (I was out of phase the first time)these speakers are twice as loud as the factory GARBAGE. Very nice.

F150 (2014) XLT
Nice sound and easy install in A pillars. Pulled old 8ohm stock speakers and replaced with these 4ohm and it sounds much better with stock radio. I recommend these speakers. I also purchased speaker cable attachments so I didn’t have to splice. I also used my glue gun to lock these units down once I used the back speaker twist end, which worked well, but the glue gun quickly adds an element of safety to prevent speakers from getting loose. It took about 45-1hr to replace.

2012 F150 XLT
I purchased two sets of these Kicker tweeters for my 2012 F150 XLT. I replaced the stock factory tweeters in the A-Pillar and added two more to the top of the rear doors just below the manual door lock button. The sound is amazing. I never imagined how inadequate the factory tweeters were until I replaced them. By adding two tweeters to the rear doors it delivers that missing sound to the rear seat and also influences the front seats positions. Overall very happy with my purchase. Stage 3 was easy to order from, good price, fast delivery from Arizonia to Michigan.

Customer Question Will these fit in a 2014 F-150 xlt super crew

Asked by: Carter Lightbourn - 11/8/2020
Customer Answer As long as your truck is equipped with factory tweeters, these Kicker tweeters will fit. That being said, most XLTs only came with base audio and did not have tweeters, so you'd have to verify that before ordering.

Customer Question The factory tweeters are 8ohms these are 4ohms. Will this damage the factory head unit?

Asked by: Jason - 12/22/2018
Customer Answer They will not. While they have decreased resistance, their amperage is so low that the difference does not cause significant issues.
