The people at Stage 3 MotorSports are the most helpful and knowledgeable people I have dealt with even after UPS lost the half the order! The BDS 6 lift (BDS-573H) fit great with no problems and when they say the BDS lift is manufactured heavy duty, they mean it! The ride is great, I'm used to lifts making the ride rough! Not with this lift, it's as close to factory as you can get. The people at Stage 3 Motorsports also helped me on the whole unclear rocket science of the backspace and off set of the wheels. I wanted the wheels and tires to stick out a little past the fender flares and they nailed it perfectly! (Tires-Toyo M/T 35x12.5x20, Wheels-Fuel Krank 20x9 D517, 6x135mm/01mm offset) I purchased the 6 BDS lift, fender flares, exhaust, and wheels from Stage 3 Motorsports and they took the time to help me every step of the way! Thank you Guys!! I already recommended two people to Stage 3 Motorsports!

Customer Question W what modifications will this kit need to work on the 14 f150. Also will it work with pro comp uca and rc kicker bracers

Asked by: Built14 - 2/12/2024
Customer Answer For a 2014 F150, you would use BDS kit part# 1503H. We have not tested either of those products with this BDS kit ourselves directly, but you will most likely not have any issues using them on the BDS kit.

Customer Question How do i know if i need a carrier bearing drop bracket, i have a 2013 ford f150 4x4?

Asked by: Oscar - 5/30/2018
Customer Answer A carrier bearing bracket is only required if your truck has a two-piece driveshaft. It you have a one-piece driveshaft, a carrier bearing drop bracket is not required.

Customer Question I plan on getting 6" bds lift with 20x10 wheels with a 4.6 backpacking & federal 35"tires.but I see you recomend 5"or higher backspacing.its 2010 supercab fx4.will my set up work? Im want any rubbing and very minimal if any trimming

Asked by: Kevin - 8/14/2016
Customer Answer The kit's maximum backspace for fitting 35x12.50" tires is 5.50" to clear the knuckles. If you're below that figure, you'll be fine. At 4.6" of backspace, you shouldn't have issues.

Customer Question This kit, and the rough country kit call for different wheel back spacing. Why is this? Being they are both 6 inch lift

Asked by: Jd - 8/2/2016
Customer Answer Backspacing requirements don't have anything to do with the height of the lift. Extra backspacing is required to clear the lifted knuckles included in these lift kits, and since the knuckle design is a bit different between the two manufacturers, they have different backspacing specifications.

Customer Question I have a 2011 f150 xlt 4x4. I'm unsure if I need the extentions your have the option for. Also I already have 35in tires on my truck with stock rims. But it says stock 18in wheels won't work ?

Asked by: Hunter - 4/8/2016
Customer Answer Factory 18x8.5" wheels do not have the necessary backspace to clear the knuckle with nearly any larger than stock tire. You would need to purchase a set of wheel spacers to clear, if you want keep your stock tires.

Customer Question I have 17x9 wheels with a 5" backspace will the kit work or does it have to be 18x9 wheels?

Asked by: Alek - 3/9/2016
Customer Answer Unfortunately, BDS has only confirmed fitment of 18x9" wheels, and they do not have required backspace specs for 17" wheels that will clear the knuckles of this system.

Customer Question Is the 4' rear block the standard using with this kit? Is this the correct kit for sure, for a 2013 Ford F-150 FX4 4WD, 4 door truck? Will we need longer brake lines or will the bracket relocator fix this problem?

Asked by: Jason Halsell - 12/23/2015
Customer Answer The standard block for this kit is the 5" block, though longer rear brake lines are not required, and the E-brake bracket is only required on trucks with factory power steps. This kit fits 2013 F150 4WD F150s regardless of body style.

Customer Question Will this lift work with procomp's traction bars if I choose the 5" block rather than the 4" block or does it matter?

Asked by: Isaac Davis - 10/22/2015
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we can't guarantee fitment of Pro Comp's traction bars with this kit at all.

Answer provided by: Jason@Stage3 (10/23/2015)

Customer Question How do you know if you need the carrier bearing drop bracket? I have a 2013 XLT 4x4 without power steps. Also, how much rake is to be expected with the 5" block? Does the rear settle over time to lessen the rake? I currently have 2-1/4" of rake at stock height. I tow sometimes so being completely level after a lift would put me nose high while towing, but I don't want too much forward rake either. Coilovers are not an option at the moment. Too much $.

Asked by: Brett - 3/11/2015
Customer Answer The Carrier Bearing Drop bracket is only required on F150's with a two-piece driveshaft. The listing has been updated to be a bit more clear. With the 5" block you'll get about a 1-1/2" of rake after you first install it, which will usually settle a smidge after some drive time to about a full 1" of rake, but it does depend somewhat on the condition of your rear suspension and leaf packs.
