These lights ROCK! I'm no expert on LEDs(or any lights for that matter), but these lights are mega bright. They are brighter then the stock LED headlights on the truck. Together, they kick butt. Quality - The appearance of the fixtures is first rate. Very impressive look and feel. READ and research the specs. You won't find a better product. The wire harness was not very useful for automotive application, but they provide other options. Installation - Of the fixture, may vary but I did the F150 Pocket kit and it was a breeze. Recommend? - Yes. I want another set for dedicated fogs next. ............ As I said, I installed the Baja Designs F150 Pocket kit and installed these lights with the kit. Getting the OEM plastic pockets out was a PITA, but installation of the new equipment was pretty straight forward. As for wiring, they come with plug and play interfaces for the stock harness, but the XL80s draw too much for that circuit. You'll need to wire you own. Unfortunately, the included wire harness is really designed for an ATV/UTV. It's not long enough to do a truck and it doesn't come with a relay. I also wanted a bit more beaf. They do include spare connectors which you can wire up for a waterproof connection, which I did. I bought a waterproof relay and wired a 12awg circuit for the lighting side, then a 16awg loop for the relay side. I used the switch that BD provided with their harness to control the relay side from the cab. I also wired a foot switch ($8 Satco 80) to control the relay, once the aforementioned dash control was ON. Works great! Just like Old School Hi beams. As I said, the lights are excellent quality and MEGA BRIGHT. IMHO, they are the brightest lights you're gonna find. The units are customizable in that you can change the lenses(flood/spot/driving/wide etc also amber or clear)which is also nice to know if you should crack one. BD warranty is fantastic as well. I don't see how you can lose here as long as you don't mind spending the $. Ya get what ya pay for. TomJV
