Increase Your Horsepower With K&N's Air Intake

You can always trust the brilliant intake engineers over at K&N Filters to design something special for your Ford F150, and the Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System does not disappoint. The system is made up of a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit the new 2011-2014 Ford F150 5.0L. Adding a cold-air intake is a perfect way to get some easy power and performance gains for your car or truck. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow, allowing your vehicle's engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the restrictive OEM air filter assembly that comes stock on F150's straight from the factory. On top of their impressive power gains, this Cold Air Intake Kit improves fuel economy and throttle response, making it one of the most effective upgrades you can grab for your vehicle. For the Blackhawk, K&N includes one of their oversized reusable air filters in all black for a much more aggressive look under your hood.

Fitment: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Ford F150 5.0L V8

Performance K&N Filter with Heat Shield and Inlet Tube

With their Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System, K&N uses one of their largest air filters available and built the rest of the system around it. The Black air filter included with this kit features a dry design that makes maintenance a snap while still offering improved flow and performance over stock. Along with the filter, each K&N Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System comes with a full heat shield assembly and a highly efficient inlet tube that works together to promote improved airflow into your ride's engine over the stock air box.

Installation Note: Included in this kit are detailed instructions for a relatively quick and easy installation (takes approximately an hour using standard tools).

2014 F-150 STX 4x4 5.0 V8

Shipping was fast and product arrived exactly as described. Install was quick using video on Stage 3 and included instructions, 1 hour from unboxing through clean-up. I don't pay attention to gas mileage so can't speak to that. Noticeable difference in throttle response. Great sound when on the gas but no annoying intake noise or drone when cruising. Blackhawk edition looks great under the hood and the aluminum tubing is awesome. Very happy with my purchase and the performance.

Will this fit the Boss 302?

Asked by: Rick - 1/3/2025

This has been designed around the shorter factory manifold, and we have not tried it ourselves with the taller mustang Boss manifold.

Will this work with 85mm throttle bodies or just 80mm?

Asked by: Ian - 3/27/2022

This intake will fit with an 85mm throttle body without issues. Coupler fitment is a little tight, but manageable.

Does the K&N Blackhawk need to be tuned or is it just install and go? and is it a wet or dry intake?

Asked by: Chris - 7/26/2018

This intake does not require tuning. The filter included in this kit features a dry reusable filter media.
