Quick shipping, great packaging, easy to install once you locate the positioning of the cables and power unit (good install manual). Def would recommend to all Ford Superduty owners, save some money and install yourself.

2012 F350

Awesome product. Instructions are very clear. The entire assembly is very well designed and works great. Installation took about 6 hrs most of which was dealing with the wiring harness and finding the right wires to activate the steps, and securing all the wires, looms, etc. I should also add that delivery was incredibly fast from Stage 3 Motorsports.

What is the purpose of the override switch option? Is it overriding the steps from opening or is it an override to make then open even when the door hasn't? How does the override work (switch, if so where does it mount or by remote control)?

The switch can both force the steps open when the doors are closed (which is ideal for hosing them off) and for keeping them up when the doors are open (which is ideal for off-roading). The switch can mount anywhere in your cab with some drilling. The wiring taps into the steps. See AMP's install instructions here.

I’m curious why this doesn’t fit the 2015 or 2016 model F250. I wasn’t aware there were any frame changes from 2011-2016. I prefer tapping the harness to tying up my OBD2 port. Thanks.

These steps now fit through the 2016 model year. There was an issue with the harness for 2015 and 2016 trucks, but that has been resolved. We have updated our listing.

Hi, I am wondering if this product is the plug and play system. I am wanting amp power steps but without the plug and play. I would rather have the hard wire version so I can still access my OBDII port for a monitor. (2011 F-250) Your pass through harness states it has issues with the 2011-2012 F-250 models. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

This particular part number is for the original version of the Power Steps which do not use the OBD-II port, but do require tapping your door wiring.
