Solid, Chomoly Steel Sway Bar with Adjustable Roll Settings

Hellwig's Sway Bar is built incredibly strong and has an adjustable design so that you can find your perfect level of performance and handling. Hellwig's F150 sway bars are made of heat-treated, chromoly steel alloy with a solid construction that helps distribute load between your F150's rear wheels. The sway bar has three mounting holes that allow for adjustments in roll stiffness so that you can set the bar perfectly for your intended application. Each Hellwig sway bar come with all the hardware you need for installation, and each sway bar was carefully designed to bolt right up to your F150 without any drilling or modifications. 2014 F-150 Platinum

This sway bar offered a huge improvement in handling. The truck feels much more planted and flat when going around curves. This with a few HP mods makes for a very fun truck. Installation was easy, taking about 1.5 hours with simple hand tools. This is a must for those who enjoy spirited drives in their F-150 down back country roads.

2014 XLT 4X4

This noticably improved the handling over the stock configuration. My truck has the heavy duty off road package so I decided on only adding a rear sway bar since the front is already bigger than standard. It was relatively easy to install, though the instructions could use some specs for initial ending length (I set mine to have to bar parallel to the road at ride height). If you looking to reduce body roll without spending a ton of money, this is the way to go! The truck definitely feels more planted than it did when I bought it new.

2012 f150 lariat

Installation could have went better. The locking nuts to secure the bar bushings to the axle were VERY difficult to tighten down. Not cross threaded or anything, I think just bad tolerances. Other than that, pretty simple. Would be easier with 2 people so one can hold the bar up for you while you attach it. Definitely prevents a lot of the body roll I had before and stops some walking on the road when hitting potholes/bumps in the road. I have a stiffer suspension than stock.

2014 F150

The “powdercoat” finish on all of my hellwig products, including this swag bar, did not hold up to even one WNY year of use. The hammered grey look chipped and began rusting on both my front and rear sway bars and helper leaf springs. Still giving it a couple stars because of the functionality which isn’t affected by the aesthetics, however i was disappointed. Went with a steeda RSB this time around on my 2021 and so far I’m much happier with the quality

Does this sway bar fit with a Mag Hytec differential cover?

We have not tried this combination ourselves, but with there being several inches of clearance between the bar and the factory diff cover we would not expect there to be any issues.

Will this sway bar work on a truck lowered 3” in the rear?

Unfortunately the link lengths on this kit are for stock height, and would most likely be too long for a truck 3" lower than stock.

Any problems fitting this with with a Borla S-Type exhaust?

We haven't tried the combination ourselves yet. However, from looking at the installation guides, I don't think there will be a conflict, since the Sway Bar installs under the axle, and the endlinks install forward of the axle.

Yep. According to Hellwig, this sway bar kit can handle up to 2" of rear lift, and can handle a 2" block without issues.

I have a '14 FX4 installed with Airlift rear bags for towing. Can I improve stability/ handling with the installation of a rear sway bar with this setup? Or not much? I use the truck as a daily driver but it's set up for hunting off road.

You may have an issue, since some AirLift Kits will interfere with the installation of the sway bar. If you do happen to have a RideControl kit, you can probably install the sway bar and it would be beneficial to towing. However, your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected] so we can get more specific about what AirLift kit you have.

Yep. This kit will work just fine on an RWD truck with an OE-style 1.5" or 1.25" rear block.
