My truck is leveled with the bilstein 5100s and 34" BFGs. I also have the Firestone ride rite airbags. The sway bar was the last mod i added. Installation was pretty straight forward. This is a very well made product. The sway bar stiffened the stock ride quite a bit. I mainly notice the rigidity on uneven surfaces when the bar is flexing (ie: pot holes or uneven bumps). I noticed a tremendous increase in stability and "plantedness" when pulling my trailer. I recently was pulling my rig across the desert with 50+mph winds. It looked like everyone trailering that day was getting hammered by the wind. I couldn't even feel the wind in my truck, the rear bar totally eliminated all body roll. The combination of the air bags and stabilizer bar make for a rock solid experience.

It’s hard to believe that the f150 doesn’t come with a rear sway bar. This was a great add, the bar is solid and really helps keep you planted in hard cornering. No more hopping under hard Acceleration.

Great product. It took a little longer to install than I would have liked but I did it myself without a lift. When I received the sway bar the package was in good shape. When I was checking to make sure everything was included I noticed the powder coating on the hoop brackets was flaking off. I sanded all the hoop brackets and painted them. I have the sway bar set on the first adjustment hole and seems to make an improvement in the handling of the truck. I also added the bilstein 5100 shocks at the same time. I am going to try the middle setting and see how it changes the handling of the truck. I’d recommend watching some videos before installing.

Best upgrade I've add to my truck by far! The snappy body roll from the stock set up is gone My wife no longer gets motion sickness when we go for a drive The directions were vague on what length to set the end links at but a quick phone cleared that up.

2018 Ford F150 4x4 SCREW 5.0
I tow an enclosed car hauler that weighs about 8k lbs loaded. I didn't like how loose the rear end felt towing on the highway or taking off ramps. The kit is excellent quality and easy to install. I still don't understand why Ford didn't install this at the factory as it makes such a positive improvement to ride quality. I have Roush catback exhaust and Sumo springs installed and had no problem with fitment. It's a little pricey but well worth the piece of mind.

Customer Question Does this fit with Tibren springs?

Asked by: Alan - 11/4/2022
Customer Answer We haven't tried the combination ourselves. From looking at the instructions, you may need to modify the Timben strike plate to some degree to clear the Sway Bar's U-bolts, but it's tough to say. You may want to go with the SuperSprings SumoSprings instead, since they don't have a strike plate.

Customer Question I’m towing a camper with my f150 . Will this prevent side to side sway on the rear of my truck? I have sway control and weight distribution, but rear of the truck still sways a bit

Asked by: Svtjdc - 10/20/2021
Customer Answer The Hellwig sway bar will help. A lot depends on how heavy the camper is, how much sway you have, and whether the weight is making your truck sit nose-high. You may need some sort of other weight support to get your truck under control. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected].

Customer Question I have a 2021 f150 with the 5.0 engine. while under the truck I noticed the muffler and right rear spring are fairly close together. Will the Hellwig anti- sway bar fit between the muffler and spring ?

Asked by: steven - 10/3/2021
Customer Answer The sway bar itself installs below the axle and isn't affected by the leaf spring clearance. The tie rod assembly sneaks through that gap, and there's still plenty of room. Check out Hellwig's Install Instructions here.

Customer Question Will this work with the Borla rear exit dual Exhaust system?

Asked by: DEREK - 7/24/2021
Customer Answer We haven't tried the combination ourselves. From looking at the instructions for both, I think they'll clear, but for install, you may need to remove portions of the exhaust to get the sway bar into position.

Customer Question Will this interfere with the Airlift 5000 series rear bags?

Asked by: Matt M - 3/10/2021
Customer Answer This sway bar will not work with an AirLift LoadLifter 5000 series without custom modifications. You could use either an AirLift Ride Control Kit or a Firestone Ride-Rite kit, since they install between the the leaf springs and the frame instead of mounting on the axle.

Customer Question do you know if this one will work in 2021 f150

Asked by: mmkaton2009 - 2/21/2021
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we do not have a fitment confirmation from Hellwig as of yet. We'll hopefully hear something or have a new part number available here in the near future.

Customer Question How much does this kit weigh? I tow very close to my GCWR and don’t want to push it over. The truck does ok now, just looking for a little extra stability.

Asked by: Dave C - 1/31/2021
Customer Answer The on-truck weight of the sway bar and its hardware is about 31lbs.

Customer Question Will this kit work with my MBRP cat back 3-Inch XP Series Exhaust System with the dual outlet side exit in front of rear tire?

Asked by: Vinny - 1/9/2021
Customer Answer If you have part# S5255409, then it should work fine with this sway bar. The MBRP S5255409 kit hugs pretty close to the frame and bumper and stays away fro the rear axle and sway bar mounts. If you have a different part number, please call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected].

Customer Question I have 3 inch rear blocks that came with one of the halo lift kits from you guys about a year ago. Will this lightbar fit with a 3 inch rear block or do I need to get the other sway bar for 4-6inch lift?

Asked by: Clifton Evans - 11/27/2020
Customer Answer This sway bar should work fine with a 3" rear block. In general, a 3" rear block provides a net lift of about 1.5" to 1.75", and this sway bar is rated for 2" of net lift.

Customer Question Would this fit with B&M Diff cover??

Asked by: Eric - 11/20/2020
Customer Answer We haven't tried it ourselves, so we can't strictly guarantee it. The Sway Bar sits about four inches off the stock diff cover, so if the B&M cover only an inch or two deeper than stock, you may be okay.

Customer Question 2015 f150 supercrew 4x4 hauling a lance 650 truck camper, figure about 2,500 lbs. Which hole position is recommended?

Asked by: D27742 - 3/29/2020
Customer Answer Hellwig generally recommends starting on the middle setting and readjusting as needed. With a fairly tall camper like a Lance 650, you may want to start on the stiffest setting and see how well it works in keeping sway down with your taller center of gravity. At worst, you can set it looser if the rear suspension is too stiff.

Customer Question Will this work on a truck with drop shackles?

Asked by: Tut - 12/13/2019
Customer Answer It depends on the drop provided by the shackles. The end links included are threaded and slightly adjustable, but only so much, and they likely can't handle larger 2" or lower shackles. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about your truck.
