2019 Ford Ranger

These are the best it my second vehicle I have added them to. Just a bot when I got my kit it had the wrong to axle plates. I called Hellwig support and the confirmed my part number first then wanted the date on the box. They told me they where very sorry and this should not have happened. The correct axle plates where sent out ASAP. The best thing was they actually answered the phone most companies never answer calls or emails that fast. All good and very happy!

2022 Ford Ranger FX4

Adding this rear sway bar made a dramatic improvement in handling. It removed significant understeer so the truck has a more comfortable and neutral handling balance. I can't believe ford didn't supply a stock rear sway bar on this generation of pickups. Installation was relatively easy with minimal tools. Just a ratchet and a couple of combination wrenches. Oh and, wear gloves as the grease is super sticky. Lining up the frame mounting brackets so they are balanced was a bit tricky due to the shock and exhaust mounts. I found that 12 7/8" back from the leaf spring snubber was the farthest back I could get them to line up. Ideally it would be a bit farther forward but you'd have to relocate the drivers side shock mount for that. The supplied exhaust hanger spacer is just a U shaped piece of metal that can deform when torqued, so add a piece of tubing or cylindrical spacer onto the bolt as it passes through the supplied spacer and it'll solve that problem. Wish it was cheaper but all-in-all, the improvement in handling was worth it. You do loose a bit of ground clearance.

Will this rear sway bar work with Icon rear leaf spring with option 2 (about 1 3/8" lift in rear) and Icon 2.5 shocks with resivoir? I also have the Icon 2" leveling struts with Icon tubular UCA's. The 2 PN's listed for the rear sway bar leave a gap between 1" and 2" of lift which is where my truck is without a trailer connected. I'm trying to set my truck up to be ready to do this in the future. Thanks.

This sway bar will work at 1-3/8" ride height over stock. According to Hellwig, this kit will work with up to 2" of net rear lift.

What’s the difference in this kit and 7842 for the 3-4” lifted ranger? The question was asked for the 3” leveling, the response makes me believe either kit will work. Thanks.

This particular sway bar can handle rear lifts between 0-1" of ride height. The 7842 kit is for rear lifts between 2-4". The amount of front leveling your truck has does not matter. These sway bars are only affected by rear lift.

Will this cause issues with dual exhausts that come out the back of the truck?

A lot of that depends on the specific cat-back system, but since the sway bar end links and sway itself are pretty out of the way from most exhaust routing, you'll likely be fine. That really depends on how much rear lift you have, but the Hellwig kit is not effected by front leveling kits.
