Heat is one of the principle enemies of engine performance, and one of the most unfortunate parts of your Focus ST's 2.0L EcoBoost is that the stock intercooler is not the most efficient thing in the world, and it's further handicapped by the functionality of the ST's grille shutters. Our friends at COBB Tuning manage to solve both problems all in one place with their Upgraded Front Mount Intercooler for the US-Spec 2013 to 2018 Focus STs. The intercooler installs in place of stock and features a 57% larger core with a more efficient internal design that greatly increases airflow for big power gains. The COBB FMIC for the Focus ST also improves cooling thanks to its aluminum bar-plate design that can drop inlet air temperatures (IATs) by up to 100 Fahrenheit get big gains down to your ST's front wheels.

Complete Front-Mount Intercooler with New Tubing

The COBB FMIC and its tubing are relatively easy to install and come with everything you need to replace your 2.0L EcoBoost's stock intercooler and make excellent power. Both the core and the end tanks of the COBB intercooler are made out of aluminum which dissipates heat much more effectively than stock. The bar-plate design add on to the effect and is much more efficient at cooling than the basic stock tube-and-fin design. The tubing included with COBB's Focus ST front-mount intercooler is made from 2.5" diameter mandrel-bent aluminum that allows for smooth airflow from your turbo, through the intercooler, and into your ST's throttle body. The tubing features a black wrinkle finish, and COBB throws in new couplers and clamps for installation. The intercooler comes with everything you need for install, and is compatible with your ST's front bumper beam. Some drilling is required.

US-Spec Focus STs only: COBB Tuning's Focus ST intercooler is only compatible with USDM 2013-2018 Focus STs for the North American market. The kit will not fit Euro-Spec Focus STs.
