The economy tune and light foot driving has helped me get around 18 mpg in town. The performance tune is real nice addition to the truck. It’s super easy to navigate and use. Very happy with it.

East to install and very customizable. The performance tune noticeably faster. I was getting roughly 11 mpg factory and now even in performance it gets better mpg than factory with roughly a 12 mpg. The economy tune brought me up to about an 18mpg. I do wish the suction cup holder for it was a little better because it sits weird on the dash. Also the tuner is slow sometimes and takes awhile to change which tune you're using.

Customer Question Will this work with the MBRP 4 inch exhaust and I plan on adding a cold air intake in the future

Asked by: Kyle - 12/1/2022
Customer Answer Yep. Edge's tuning will work fine with a cat-back exhaust kit, and will work fine with any cold air intake that doesn't specifically require a custom tune.

Customer Question my speedometer is off by 12 mph does the tuner have capabilities to fix that? thanks for your time

Asked by: cody - 6/27/2022
Customer Answer If the speedometer issue is caused by larger tires or gearing, then yes. If it's caused by some other issue, then probably not. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected] so we can get more specific about your issue.

Customer Question is this plug and play or do you have to plug it into a computer and download stuff before plugging it into the truck?

Asked by: Josh - 9/24/2021
Customer Answer The CTS3 will work out of the box on your truck. That being said, it is usually a decent idea to hook it to your home PC and get the latest updates first, since Edge does come out with software updates that fix bugs and other issues on the regular.

Customer Question I have an afe cai and a magnaflow exhaust with resonator delete. Will this tuner work with my truck?

Asked by: Scott - 3/17/2021
Customer Answer Yep. Neither the aFe intake nor the Magnaflow strictly require a custom tune, and Edge's tuning will work just fine.

Customer Question What tunes does the cts3 for 3.5l ecoboost provide. Is there an 87 octane economy tune?

Asked by: Acam215 - 2/10/2021
Customer Answer The CTS3 does have an economy tune, though I believe it's for 91+ octane, and you won't see as much MPG gain as it's rated for.

Customer Question I have an afe magnum force CAI and a cat back exhaust with no resonator and a single inlet, dual outlet Y pipe where the muffler once was. Both of these upgrades threw a CEL. Will this tuner likely throw a CEL and if so how would I go about fixing it?

Asked by: Tate - 10/2/2019
Customer Answer This device will likely not fix your CEL. You'll need to get its root caused figured out.

Customer Question 2014 F150 3.5 ecoboost Guys my f150 with 33’s gets 11.5 average mpg. Does this tunnel have an economy mode to increase my gas mileage?

Asked by: Jmoney - 8/18/2019
Customer Answer The CTS2 does have an economy tune, which can help you pick up a few MPGs if you drive with a light foot in combination with it. You should still see some MPG gains on the performance tunes, and they'll drive a lot less doggy than the economy tunes. The Economy tunes like to upshift at their earliest opportunity to keep RPMs down, which can be annoying at times.

Customer Question Will this programmer work good with just a regular factory truck or does anything need to be added?

Asked by: Blaze - 6/9/2019
Customer Answer This device adds nice and noticeable gains in power when using 91 octane or higher fuel on bone-stock trucks. While it won't be as much as a custom tune, Edge's tuning is still excellent.

Customer Question Will the same CTS2 work with both the v8 and the EcoBoost on an F150

Asked by: Ta1989 - 2/10/2019
Customer Answer This device is compatible with both the V8 and EcoBoost F150s, though it cannot tune two trucks at the same time, and it will lock itself to a single truck until that truck is returned to stock.

Customer Question Will this increase the boost pressures and is there towing and performance tunes on this for my 12 ecoboost?

Asked by: Dillon Jones - 2/2/2019
Customer Answer The tuning included in this device does increase turbocharger boost pressure, and Edge includes a towing-specific tune on each CTS2.

Customer Question What will happen if I use this tuner with a catless y pipe ?

Asked by: Braxton Bundy - 11/28/2018
Customer Answer You'll throw a CEL due to the device's included tunes not being able to disable your truck's oxygen sensors and Edge's tuning can't adequately adjust for the AFR change provided by the downpipes, so you risk running lean and hurting your engine.

Customer Question Would this tuner work with a catless y pipe ? If not and I need custom tunes can I download them on the this tuner?

Asked by: Braxton Bundy - 11/26/2018
Customer Answer This device will not work with an off-road downpipe. You will need custom tuning, which this device does not support. You will need to use either an SCT or HPTuners device if you're planning on using an off-road Y-pipe.

Customer Question I have a AFE cold air intake and a mbrp off road down pipe. Will the preloaded tunes work with the down pipe as it recommends?

Asked by: Jonathan Hensley - 1/13/2018
Customer Answer They will not. You will need a custom tune if your truck is equipped with off-road downpipes.

Customer Question I have an Airaid CAD,an Airaid throttle body spacer and a Magnaflow catback exhaust on my 2014 ecoboost. Will the tunes from this tuner work with with my aftermarket add-ons?

Asked by: MikeB - 12/9/2016
Customer Answer Yep. The pre-loaded tunes on the Edge CTS will work fine in conjunction with basic bolt-ons like cold air intakes that don't require a custom tune, throttle body spacers, and cat-back systems.

Customer Question Will this programmer remove my speed limiter or bump it up atleast?

Asked by: Jdself - 11/16/2016
Customer Answer The CTS2 can alter or remove your truck's speed limiter. That being said, we strongly recommend staying under 125mph, as that's the point where the driveshafts tend to fail.

Customer Question I now have the cts on my 2012 3.5L ecoboost and am interested in updating to the cts2. Can I do this without running into issues with the tunes I already have?

Asked by: Jacob - 9/4/2016
Customer Answer You would need to return your truck to stock with your current CTS before purchasing and using the tunes included with the CTS2, but other than that, you should be good to go.
