Overall, I am very happy with this suspension. Bought these and the rear Fox shocks for my F150. The prior owner has some cheap off brand shocks and the believe the front was still original. Coming from that to this was a HUGE difference. The ride is harder but the truck is much more planted. I think one of the biggest differences was how little body roll there is in turns. The OEM suspension would roll terrible and bounce all over when riding over uneven roads. If you are willing to spend a little more I would recommend you go with Fox. I had a buddy that is a mechanic help me install these so we had access to a lift which made things much easier but I do believe you could do this install with a lift and stands if need be. Almost forgot...the level in the front IS NOTICEABLE and it does level out the truck nicely.

The shocks give my truck a firm smooth ride. Great handling off road and on. Large bumps are handled much better than the stock units and the install was easy. You'll need some spring compressors to make any adjustments to the ride height. The difference is worth the money for sure.

Customer Question does anyone know the difference between the 13 and 14 year trucks I have a 14 and can’t seem to find many kits for 2wd 14’s. Anyone know why they wouldn’t work?

Asked by: Cameron - 11/13/2025
Customer Answer 2014+ F150 use a different lower mounting style than the 09-13 F150 trucks so these coilovers will not work. Fox does not offer 2wd coilovers in the 2014+ fitment, but you could go with the Eibach 2.0 coilovers as they offer a kit that would work. Give our sales team a call and they can help give you some options.

Customer Question Is there a difference in ride quality from 0”-2” ? And could I use these coil overs in a rough country 4 inch lift instead of the ones they provide?

Asked by: Andrew - 6/1/2024
Customer Answer These coilovers were developed and designed to be run at the out of the box 2" of ride height. We have never tried to run them a 0" height, and could not guarantee the ride quality at that height. In general Fox does not recommend turning the Fox 2.0 for the F150 down more than 1".

Customer Question What lb/in. Rating are the springs on the Coilovers, I have a 4” spindle lift up front as of now, I’m installing 4” rear blocks with fox 2.0 , 4-6” rear shocks, I want to get these Coilovers but need to know if the spring rating is higher than my stock spring, I’m experiencing slight tire rub at full lock when I’m having body roll

Asked by: Robert Espinosa - 12/3/2019
Customer Answer The Fox 2.0s use a 650lb-in spring.

Customer Question I see questions asking about their lifts but I have a 2013 F150 2wd XLT with a 6" rough country lift on 35s I DO NOT want I higher front end, and was wondering if the 2" coilovers would give a noticeable or if there is a way to keep it level

Asked by: Zach - 8/22/2019
Customer Answer The coilovers are set at 2" of ride height out of the box according to Fox. If you don't want to gain any extra front ride height, then you'll need to lower the bottom adjustment collar to a 0" factory height before you install them with your Rough Country Kit's strut spacers.

Customer Question I have a 2009 F150 2wd with a Rough Country 6in lift kit. The front end is still sagging slightly due to it being a true 6in lift on rear and front. Would I be able yo use the adjustable coilovers?

Asked by: Corey - 2/27/2017
Customer Answer You technically could, though the Fox coilovers come out of the box set at 2" of ride height over stock, so you'd likely have to reduce their height by at least some degree in order to avoid getting rear rake. Also be careful to watch your brake lines an ensure they aren't overly stretched.

Customer Question I currently have a 3 inch level spacer on my truck. If I get these coil overs can I move my spacer on these or will that be unsafe?

Asked by: Nick - 10/19/2016
Customer Answer We DO NOT recommend running more than 3" of lift on the front of the 2009-2013 F150s. If you use your spacer with the coilovers at their out-of-the-box ride height of 2", you'd bet at 5" of front lift, which would severely impact your UCAs, LCAs, and tie rods (assuming you could even get the combination installed. If you're intent on reusing your spacer, we'd strongly suggest that you also get the Fox spanner wrench and lower the coilover's ride height to a 0" factory height, though even then, we can't guarantee what kind of ride quality you'll get.

Customer Question I have a 2013 2wd STX supercab at stock height. If I got just the front coilovers and not rear shocks, would I be able to put 33" tires on my truck without any problems?

Asked by: Chris E. - 8/5/2016
Customer Answer Only the front coilovers add any amount of ride height, so rear shocks aren't necessary to clear larger tires. You should be able to clear 33" tall tires with just the front coilovers, though how wide you're going to able to go is going to depend on your wheels and their offsets.

Customer Question What's the difference between this kit and the 4WD version? My truck is 2WD but if the 4WD ones have more travel or something, I definitely want those. Thanks!

Asked by: Paul - 1/9/2016
Customer Answer There's not a difference in travel, but the 4WD Coilovers are a bit longer than the 2WD versions, giving you slightly more lift than the 2" that the 2WD variants are rated for. Overall performance and ride quality is more or less the same.

Customer Question I drive a 2013 2wd f150 with a 6 inch rough country lift kit and a 3 inch body lift I wanna get a little bit more lift on the front would this help ? And would I need a driveshaft spacer?

Asked by: Hector - 12/11/2015
Customer Answer The coilovers would work, if you keep your Rough Country Lift's front strut spacers. You would likely need a driveshaft spacer, and possibly longer brake lines and other hardware, depending on what came with your body lift. Give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can get more specific with what you already have and what you potentially need to get it all to work.

Customer Question How does this affect the current ride of the truck? I like how mine rides now, but this upgrade would put me at a different level

Asked by: Cdillon - 12/6/2014
Customer Answer The coilovers are mildly more firm than stock, but it's extremely slight, and you get less body roll, improved rebound, and more predictable on-road handling, as well as better off-road capability in return.
