When driving a truck like the Ram 1500, it is important that your rotors are performing optimally. While OEM/factory-issued rotors can pull their own weight, most are not designed with longevity and efficiency in mind. The Power Stop Evolution Drilled/Slotted/Zinc-Plated Rotors fills in performance shortcomings that are often found in your standard rotors. After some time and a few brake checks, its common for rotors generate a lot of heat, leading to a loss of braking power. The Evolution Rotors, on the other hand, sport a unique cross-drill design that is specially crafted to keep temperatures down while maintaining performance. As a double whammy, the rotors also have slotted ridges that sweeps away gas, brake dust, and debris for smooth and safe braking. Driving through wet roads poses a corrosion risk for all cars and trucks. Fortunately, the Evolution Rotors are zinc-plated to prevent pesky rust from eating away your stopping power. If you're looking to fool-proof your drivability, start with your brakes. Grab and install Power Stop's Evolution Rotors!
Along with the slotted/cross-drilled design, the Evolution Rotors are 100% mill balanced to ensure that every aspect of the rotor functions optimally. Given the OE design, the evolution rotors can be installed easily and without the need for special modifications. Upon installation, a break-in process must take place to ensure that the rotors become fully acclimated. First, complete 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Second, continue the break in by completing 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. Once this is completed and the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, the brakes can be used normally. To top it all off, the purchase of Power Stop Evolution Drilled/Slotted Rotors comes with a 90-day/3,000 Mile Warranty!
