This performance-ready torque converter features a stamped forged steel cover (stronger than billet), up to triple the clutch material, furnace-brazed fins, and BD's own billet aluminum stator design that maximizes the low-speed torque characteristics of the Powerstroke engine.

Exceeds in Towing and Race Applications

Your factory torque converter can take a lot of heat in normal driving conditions, but even then slippage can occur and then your efficiency and fuel mileage suffer. Especially if you're using your truck for heavy duty applications like towing, climbing steep hills or racing, it's crucial to upgrade to a torque converter that's been tested and proven under high stress. Fortunately, this torque multiplying converter by BD-Diesel has been designed to handle up to 1400 lbs/ft of torque in an 11-second truck. Even better, BD tested this converter to 850 lb.-ft of torque, towing a 26,000 lb. load up a six-percent grade!
