The 3" light replaces your stock fog light assembly. Once the OEM assembly is removed, the SS3 can bolt into place for a factory-style appearance. While it might be natural to assume smaller means weaker, that's not the case with this light pod. High-intensity automotive-type LED chips paired with a total internal reflection (TIR) optic ensure much more light output than your typical optics or reflectors. Standard optics lose light internally, increase glare and do not focus light properly. The TIR optic serves as both the optic and main lens for greater efficiency and output. The TIR receives all the LED's light, directs it where needed, and reduces glare, all at an efficient rate. The light will additionally thrive in all weather conditions and function in temperatures ranging from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.
