Built To Last

The ONYX Series Starter Shield is designed to protect your starter from heat soak, and DEI manufacturers this product using premium quality, rigorously tested materials. The design combines two technologically advanced textiles into a dual layer for maximum thermal control. The outer layer is made from heat treated glass fiber bonded with molten aluminum and then formed into a tight weave for maximum strength and durability. The inner layer is made of a specially treated, high temperature resistant fabric (89% silica). Together, these materials protect the starter from temperatures up to 1350F!

Easy Installation

The ONYX Series shield is sized 7 width by 24 length, however the length can be trimmed to size for added convenience. The system fastens to your starter using a hook and loop fastening system, so you don't even need to remove your starter to install this shield. Multi-purpose in design and fit, this shield also can be used to wrap most master cylinders, distributors, fuel pumps and many other components.
