Ultimate Adventure Series Truck Topper System for 3rd Gen Tacoma
When adventure calls, you need a setup that can handle whatever the trail throws at you. The RSI SmartCap EVOa Adventure for the 2016-2023 Tacoma is built for those who demand the best in durability, versatility, and real-world functionality. Whether you’re overlanding deep into the backcountry, loading up for a weekend camping trip, or just looking for a rugged, all-season truck cap, this system is designed to keep up. While RSI offers the Sport, Commercial, and Defender models to meet different needs, the Adventure series strikes the perfect balance between strength, security, and off-road capability. One of the standout features of the Adventure series is its double-walled stainless steel Gullwing doors. Unlike the Sport model, which uses glass, these solid panels offer better durability and security, perfect for locking up valuable gear. Each Gullwing door is also equipped with integrated MOLLE panels, giving you endless options for mounting tools, recovery gear, first-aid kits, or even a compact camp kitchen. The openings are also taller than most fiberglass caps, making it easier to load and unload your cargo without awkwardly reaching into the bed.
Tough Stainless Steel Construction with Superior Weather Sealing
Unlike traditional fiberglass caps, the RSI EVOa Adventure is built from tough stainless steel. Its five-piece modular design ensures a perfect fit while also making installation and removal simple. If you need full bed access for hauling larger cargo, you can take the cap off in just minutes without the need for any complicated tools or modifications. It's designed to integrate seamlessly with your Tacoma’s factory fitment points, making it an easy upgrade for those who want protection without the hassle of permanent alterations. The SmartCap EVOa Adventure is also fully weatherproof, built to withstand rain, snow, and harsh off-road conditions. If you’re traveling dusty trails or navigating sandy environments, the positive pressure air vent prevents fine dust from settling inside the bed. By filtering in clean air at a higher velocity than the bed can pull it in, this system keeps your gear free from unwanted dirt and debris. But the versatility of this cap extends beyond storage and protection. Integrated roof rails make it easy to mount rooftop tents, cargo racks, or other overland accessories, transforming your Tacoma into a fully functional adventure rig. Pair it with RSI's lineup of accessories–like storage bins, drawer systems, or a full camp kitchen–and you’ll have a truck bed setup that’s as capable as you are.
