2005-2010 Ford Mustang GT PowerStop Complete Brake Kit | K1381

Complete Uprated Brake Package

If you need to overhaul all of the wearable parts of your Mustang GT's braking system, then this Power Stop complete brake kit is for you. This full kit includes four drilled and slotted rotors for the front and rear and a complete set of pads for each brake. Power Stop's kit offers an excellent balance of performance and price. This kit is designed to reduce stopping distances, heat, and dust generation while costing significantly less than most competing replacement brake kits.

Heavy Duty Rotors

Each of the front and rear drilled and slotted rotors in Power Stop are manufactured from heavy-duty cast iron. All of the drilled holes lead down into the rotor's internal vanes which help to dissipate heat and move it all away from the friction surfaces. The surfaces of each rotor are also slotted which aids in moving brake dust and volatile gasses away from your Mustang brake pads for more reliable and sustained braking performance.

Powerful Ceramic Brake Pads

The kit's Z23 Evolution Ceramic Brake Pads feature a specialized ceramic formulation that improves braking performance over stock while causing less noise, dust, and wear on both the pads and the rotors. Power Stop's Z23 Evolution brake pads can provide up to 20% more stopping power than stock pads and are each thermal scorched to limit the amount of time it takes to bed and break in. Both front and rear brake pads are included in this set for a total of (4).

Fits The Following Models: 2005-2010 Ford Mustang GT V8.

Rotor Size: Factory stock replacements: Front - 12.43" / Rear - 11.81"

Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note: The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.

Warranty: This kit comes backed with a 3-Year/36,000 Mile Warranty
