2005-2007 Super Duty 4WD/RWD Power Stop Z36 Truck & Tow Rear Brake Kit | K1799-36

Perfect Brake Kit for Heavy Hauling & Towing

The factory rear brake rotors and brake pads on your F250 or F350 do a decent job of stopping your truck, but if you're hauling any heavy loads or towing up and down steep hills, you need a sizable increase in stopping power for those times you need it most. Power Stop's Super Duty Z36 Extreme Truck & Tow Rear Brake Kit is one of your best options. This full set of rear rotors and Z36 Severe-Duty Brake Pads are a big step up from your factory blank rotors and stock semi-metallic brake pads and will give your Super Duty improved stopping power, less fade, low levels of brake dust and almost no noise, while keeping wear down to a minimum. Power Stop's Truck & Tow Rear Brake Kit is an effective upgrade for just about any application and will improve your truck's ability to stop when towing or hauling.

Pair Of Rear Drilled And Slotted Rotors

The rotors included in this package are direct bolt-on replacements for your factory rotors and come standard with drilled and slotted surfaces. The cross-drilled holes on these rotors drop right down into their internal vanes which allow heat from the friction surfaces to escape and dissipate much more effectively than your stock Super Duty rotors. The slotted surfaces of each rotor clear away excess brake dust and other debris from the pad's contact area to improve bite and make braking more consistent. Each rotor comes with a zinc chromate finish to help protect against corrosion.

Efficient Brake Pads For Low Wear

Power Stop includes a full set of their Z36 Severe-Duty Extreme Ceramic Brake Pads with this kit that are designed for improved bite, low noise, low dust, low wear, and low fade which makes them of the best choices when it comes to uprated stock replacement brake pads. The pads are manufactured using a specialized ceramic compound on a precision-stamped backing plate that work together to provide perfect fitment and minimal noise, even under heavy braking. Power Stop's Z36 brake pads work flawlessly with the rotors included in this package and are a huge improvement over factory pads when it comes to stopping ability and keeping your wheels looking clean.

Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note: The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
