Cast Iron Drilled and Slotted Rotors

Power Stop's Mustang V6 brake kit is centered around their awesome, uprated brake rotors. Each of these high-quality cast iron rotors come standard with a drilled and slotted surface and specialized internal vanes that maximize their performance. The rotors' cross-drilled holes each lead directly down into the rotors vanes and greatly improve heat dissipation over your factory blank rotors for reduced fade under heavy and sustained braking. The shallow surface slots of each rotor clear brake dust and other debris away from the pads' contact area which improves initial bite and makes for more predictable and consistent braking performance. Each rotor comes standard with a zinc chromate finish to help protect against corrosion.

High-Powered, Low-NVH Ceramic Brake Pads

For brake pads, Power Stop includes a complete set of front and rear Z23 Evolution Sport performance ceramic pads. These pads have improved stopping power and bite over your Mustang's semi-metallic factory brake pads. On top of their uprated stopping performance, the Z23 pads also generate less noise, less dust, and far less rotor wear than factory-style brake pads so that you can have all the improved stopping ability your Mustang needs without compromising your Pony's smooth ride.

For standard front and rear brakes: This kit will only fit 2011-2014 Mustang 3.7L V6 models with stock front and rear brakes.

Rotor Size: Factory 12.43" front and 11.81" rear replacements.

Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note: The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
