Powerful, Low Profile Backup Lighting with Drop-In Install and Easy Wiring

It's not secret that the rearward lighting on most modern trucks is pretty abysmal, which makes backing up after dark a pain, even if you do have backup cameras and sensors. Usually, you'd have to drop a pretty penny on expensive off-road LED lights and some way to mount them on the rear of your truck, but our friends over at Morimoto have a better idea. The Morimoto XB Boost Bar LED Backup Light bar is an inexpensive, hassle-free way to get awesome levels of rear-facing lighting for your awesome rig of choice. The XB Boost Bar installs using the two upper screws of your vehicle's back license plate mount, but features an offset design that won't block your plate. The XB Boost Bar comes with universal pig tails and quick taps that tie into your vehicle's stock reverse light harness, making it a breeze to get the light bar up and running.

CREE LEDs with an Aluminum Housing, Lightly Smoked Lens, and Easy Install on US License Plates

The Morimoto XB Boost Bar was designed from the ground up to be a simple, yet extremely reliable backup lighting solution for you rig of choice. Each bar features a single row of CREE LED lights that work together to produce a whopping 2700 raw lumens of output at a warm white 4500K color temperatures. The LEDs are mounted in die-cast aluminum housing with a black finish that blends right in with your vehicle's rear bumper and factory paint. The XB Boost Bar features a lightly smoked lens and a flood beam pattern that makes the light look low-key during the day, but gives you all the rear lighting you need to see what's behind you on even the darkest nights. The XB Boost Bar will install onto any US-spec license plate (except 2019-2023 Ram trucks) and comes with wiring and quick taps. Morimoto backs their XB Boost Bar with a 5-year limited warranty.

Fitment: Universal. Will not fit 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Ram Trucks

Ford f150 lariat

I thought this might be a waste of money but since I purchased the new Morimoto tails with blis. This was a plug and play to passenger side tail light. Good quality and great lighting I’m glad I purchased.sorry no pictures but trust me on this one.

These Morimoto backup light bar for the license are really great. You'll have time to drill a hole to pass the wire through the bumper. The light helps to light while backing, I have another one of these on my 2020 F-150 so, I'm a repeat buyer

Easy to install - although having installation instructions specific to a vehicle would have made it a bit easier. I did buy a pigtail elsewhere to make the job even easier but it works great and makes a big difference when backing up at night.

Will this trigger CANBUS alarm on a 2023 Volvo XC40 without a relay from battery ?? .

Asked by: Tom - 6/27/2025

We've never installed this on a Volvo ourselves, so we cannot guarantee you would not have any Canbus warnings. It has not caused any issues with the Ford or Toyota trucks we have put this on.
