2019 Ford Ranger Lariat (FX4)
This package is a major improvement in ride quality versus the suspension included as part of the FX4 package. So far, has been great both on-road and off. Highly recommend.

Easy install. Would recommend. Stiffer ride than I was expecting though.

2021 Ford Ranger Lariat
This product exceeded my expectation's! My problem was two fold - I installed larger diameter wheels and the wheels had a lower offset so the wheels and tires rubbed the fender well in the front fenders plus the ride was harder (lower profile tires to offset larger wheels). The kit addressed both concerns notably! I test drove the truck right after install and had no issues turning the wheel lock-to-lock, but the BIG difference was the improved ride handling. The suspension is a nice balance of road and off-road capability and improving the dampening to tackle all bumps, rocks, divot, etc that could shake the truck. It was worth the price of admission!

2020 Ford Ranger Lariat
Excelente kit. La mejora en la apariencia de mi Ranger fue notable, le da una postura más alta, robusta y agresiva. También he notado una conducción más cómoda y controlada, especialmente en irregularidades del camino. Muy satisfecho con la compra y totalmente recomendado.

Customer Question Can you please give me a idea of how long it takes to install this kit on a 2021 XLT 4x4. Curious what I should expect from a shop in terms of time. Thanks.

Asked by: Jack - 6/11/2024
Customer Answer Ford Performance doesn't offer any labor guides for the kit, but labor hours would be the same as if you were just having new strut assemblies installed plus the charge for alignment.

Customer Question Does the Ford Performance tuned Fox 2.0 kit include the Axle nuts and new hardware like it shows on Fords website?

Asked by: Chuck - 1/7/2024
Customer Answer Yes, these are pre-boxed kits from Ford and will include all the hardware listed in their installation instructions.

Customer Question Do you recommend a diff drop and UCAs with this install?

Asked by: Questionable - 12/23/2021
Customer Answer A differential drop is not required. UCAs are not necessarily required, but we do recommend them if you're going to be cranking the coilovers up to their max ride height and/or if you're going to be off-roading your truck on the regular or fairly aggressively.

Customer Question Is there a difference when i install the rear shock the other way? If i put the bigger body on top and the rod part on the buttom? Thank you.

Asked by: Charles - 11/14/2021
Customer Answer Since the rear shocks use a monotube design, they can be oriented in either direction, and you can install them in a barrel-up/shaft down orientation.

Customer Question What are the biggest tires you can fit after installing this, without cutting anything?

Asked by: Dustin - 9/10/2021
Customer Answer That depends entirely on what wheel your using, specifically their width, offset, and backspacing. If set at their full ride height, you can generally fit a 32x11" tire or close metric equivalent. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected] so we can get more specific about your wheels.

Customer Question Will this kit fit a 2wd/Rwd Ford Ranger? Thanks!

Asked by: Jcru1017 - 8/30/2021
Customer Answer This kit will bolt up just fine to an RWD/2WD Ranger, though the RWD trucks will tend to get slightly more ride height than what the coilovers are rated for due to their lighter curb weights.

Customer Question Do these require any scheduled maintenance?

Asked by: Bob - 8/15/2021
Customer Answer They will require a rebuild eventually, but as far as re-oiling or re-greasing on the regular, neither of those are required.

Customer Question Is alignment needed after front coil overs installed? I have a FX4 XLT running 17x9 +12 with 275/65r17 BFG KO2s with BDS intrusion bars from you guys.

Asked by: GLeaf - 6/3/2021
Customer Answer An alignment is strongly recommended, mostly to correct toe angle and prevent excessive tire wear, though camber also gets thrown off by a bit.

Customer Question Fox vs. Ford Fox vs. Roush Fox... Any notable difference in valving or otherwise? Is it just a question of who gets some money for shared branding rights?

Asked by: Grau - 12/14/2020
Customer Answer The Ford Performance variant is valved softer and has a softer spring, which would technically give you softer on-road ride. Personally, I don't think it makes that much of a difference, and any of the Fox 2.0 variants are a huge improvement over stock, regardless of what variant you get your hands on. Honestly, the question in our current 'Rona bad times is one of availability than which is "finer tuned."
