Looks good fit good I did use a different gasket (lube locker) although I am sure the one it came with is fine, torqued the bolts to 15 lbs no leeks it did take a little over three quarts to fill using the lower fill hole

Perfect for my rear diff build, added e-locker and 4.56 gears. After breaking in the ring n pinion the drain plug and fill plug on this cover made changing the diff fluid a piece of cake.

Outside of the very first bolt breaking off when taking off the original, straightforward install. I used the lube locker gasket and Amsoil synthetic severe gear oil. Looks amazing, easy to service now and no leaks. Highly recommended.

Easy to install looks good and do not use the bolts that are included or the seal.Use the factory bolts and a lubelocker gasket. Would highly recommend this part to anyone looking to upgrade and makes rear diff oil changes a lot easier.

Solid piece from Spicer. Comes with a gasket, but I would recommend using a Ford or Lube Locker gasket. Fill and drain plugs have sealant pre-applied. You can buy it without the Ford Performance logo for considerably less.

Re-geared my rear end and wanted to have an upgraded diff cover to go with it. The OEM styling offered on this with the extra features of the drain plugs ended up being perfect. Very happy and the gasket was even decent quality.

Great product. Looking for a clean looking diff cover with a drain plug. Do yourself a favor and order a Lube Locker gasket before you install. I originally installed with gasket that came with it, it developed a slight leak and you would see a drip of oil hanging off it. Reinstalled with Lube Locker gasket and zero issues, very pleased.

Nice quality, I used the gasket it came with along with some RTV and used the hardware it came with, torqued in a pattern to the correct spec and it’s been solid ever since.

I haven't had the chance to install this yet, but the cover looks great. Having a diff drain bolt, and easier to access fill holes, will make future maintenance on my truck a lot easier (and less messy).

Great quality upgrade to make gear oil changes EASY! Ford should make this OEM for all trucks. Get a Lube Locker gasket and re-use the original bolts, for the brake line holders.

Awesome looking cover. Unfortunately, the site said it would fit my F150 and it didn't. I have a 2015 F150 Fx4 with the 5.0 and 2015 some F150s depending on build date etc came with the 8.8 not the 9.75 dif. Shouldn't matter for anyone with a 2016+ but if you have a 2015, it's definitely worth making sure you do have the 9.75 prior to purchasing. Sucks because it's a nice cover and second issue is I have to eat return shipping and restock fee. That kind of leaves a bad taste.

Super heavy duty cover, fit well and looks great under the truck. I do with the supplied hardware was a bit longer as the new cover is much thicker than stock and the bolts don’t seem to enter the differential as far as I would like.

I purchased this item several weeks ago and upon receiving item the plate cover gasket was not protected in shipment and arrived creased/bent resulting in leaks during installation. My plate was also shipped without new cover bolts witch concerns me because the cover is much thicker then the OEM steel cover. I like the quality of this item but the added weight of the cover makes it more difficult to install without the gasket specific to this cover.

Customer Question How can I tell if I need a 9.75 or 8.8 rear diff cover? I have a 2022 F150 5.0 v8 4X4 with a 3.31 rear

Customer Answer Easiest way is by looking at the shape of your rear differential cover and comparing it to the covers we list online as they are both shaped differently. You can also reach out to your local Ford dealer with the vin number and they should be able to tell you what your truck is equipped with.

Customer Question Three questions: Besides the label, is there any difference between this and the Spicer diff cover? Which fill level should I be using for the 2021 F150 Tremor since the back is slightly lifted stock? And finally, do I have the 9.75 rear diff?

Customer Answer We've never compared the Spicer to the Ford Performance branded cover so we could not say there are any differences between the two. You use the bottom hole as a level and once oil starts coming out of the bottom hole, the diff is full. Most Tremor trim F150 are equipped with the 9.75" rear end, but you can verify by looking to see if your diff is the same unique shape as the 9.75" pictures as the other Super 8.8" option is a different shape.

Customer Answer Ford Performance doesn't have a specific recommendation. On my truck, I tend to use RTV 81182 for gear oil.

Customer Answer Different 9.75" applications over the years used slightly different fluid levels. For the later F150s, you'll generally be using the lower fill plug.

Customer Answer This differential cover will fit a 2021 F150 with a 9.75" rear end. Keep in mind that the 2021 F150s can come with either a Super 8.8" or 9.75" rear end, and you'll need to verify which you have before ordering.

Customer Question I have a power boost with the Max tow package (3.73 rear and 9.75"). The listing says it won't fit the powerboost but was wondering since i have the 9.75" due to the max tow package if that made a difference. Thanks in advance

Customer Answer We actually got confirmation yesterday that this particular differential cover will clear the extra rear frame bracing on the PowerBoost trucks. This differential cover will fit PowerBoost models, though many others will not.

Customer Question Hey there I’ve got a 2014 Ford SVT raptor with the HELLWIG rear swaybar , would this cause any fitment issues with the rear swaybar ? Is it further out the housing ?

Customer Answer The Ford Performance Rear Differential does stick out slightly farther than stock, but it does not have clearance issues with the Hellwig Swaybars.

Customer Answer Corrosion resistance is better than stock, since this cover is powder coated, but if you're in an area that uses salt in the winter, you may want to consider an aluminum differential cover to avoid further issues.
