The 2019-2023 Ranger Ford Performance Skid Plate Kit Replaces Front Air Damn with a Steel Front Bash Plate

The 2019-2023 Ford Ranger has the capability to take on the toughest of trails and be your ultimate adventure truck, but not making sure it is able to handle the abuse of this type of driving will likely end up in regrettable damages. The front end of your truck is always susceptible to getting dinged, especially when rock crawling and trekking uneven terrain. A perfect protective upgrade to make to avoid any of these damaging situations is incorporating the 2019-2023 Ranger Ford Performance Skid Plate Kit into your Ranger build. This skid plate comes standard with the FX4 off-road package, so this part is specifically meant for Rangers not already equipped with that package.

4x2 Trucks Require Ford Performance Tow Hooks

The 2019-2023 Ranger Ford Performance Skid Plate Kit is a replacement for your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger's factory front air damn. Instead of continuing to use this weak part of your factory build, you can upgrade it to a steel front bash plate with a beautiful silver finish that offers premium protection and extra styling for this area of your Ranger. A lot of times this is the first area that will come in contact with obstacles on the trails, so make sure your Ranger front end is properly prepared to take that first hit. For continuing to use the factory tow hooks, you are going to need to have the FX2 package equipped on you Ranger. If not, 4x2 trucks require Ford Performance tow hooks for continuing to use this towing option.

Compatible Tow Hooks:

Fitment: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Ford Ranger

How much does this weigh? Trying to decide on this or the aluminum RCI

Asked by: CFH - 11/10/2023

Ford Performance doesn't provide just the product weight, but looking at the shipping weight of 20lbs, I would say the plate and hardware by itself would be roughly 17-18lbs.
