Improve Cooling & Transmission Function

The stock transmission cooler under the hood of your 1999-2003 F250 or F350 Super Duty does its job for daily driving and grocery hauling, but anything more suited to the name "Super Duty," and you might be in trouble. The 7.3L Powerstroke is a great engine with the right mods, and one of those mods is this heavy-duty Transmission Cooler by Mishimoto. The 37-row Mishimoto stacked plate cooler provides a larger surface area over both of the stock coolers for drops in transmission fluid temperature up to -10° with no additional fluid pressure drop.

Increases Fluid Capacity by a Full QT.

In order to keep transmission temperatures down and maintain healthy engine operation, Mishimoto designed this heavy-duty aftermarket transmission cooler to hold more fluid than stock and increase capacity by a full quart. This along with a massive 265% increase in core volume helps keep fluids at a minimal temperature and maintain fluid pressure. The best part about this transmission cooler kit is that it requires zero modifications for installation and instead functions using all stock equipment.

2003 F250 7.3l

Great upgrade to keep your trans cool. My truck will pull anything . . . but when I'd get stuck in traffic, on an uphill, with a heavy trailer . . . the trans would heat up to dangerous levels. Not since I installed my Mishimoto trans cooler, and ran a bottle of Hot Shot's Secret Transmission Shift Restore in it. Installation was difficult only because of some accessibility issues - just a tight working space - but nothing was so difficult that it should discourage shade-tree mechanics. :)

2000 Ford F-250

So I was finally able to get this in over the weekend and it fit GREAT! I went ahead and did a full tranny service ( it was overdue) and installed the cooler at the same time . It didn't take very long to do the only issue that I did run into was just figuring out which way I wanted to run the supplied hoses. I did have to cut just one hose as it was rather to long for how I wanted to run it. I took it out for a drive and did notice a HUGH DIFFERENCE! My temp went from 200 degrees down to 150 degrees. So far very happy with the purchase and with Stage 3! If you have a stock cooler I highly recommend you get this one you will not be disappointed!

1999 f350

This 6.0 for 7.3 trans cooler is awesome but the hoses are very low quality in the advertised picture it shows molded hoses but what you receive with this setup is totally different I $5600 for my transmission I called to explain this problem but didn’t receive any help just purchase the cooler but don’t buy these Chinese made hoses. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!! Poor QUALITY HOSES !!!

2003 F350 7.3l

Don’t have a monitor so can’t give exact temperature change. But upgraded to this cooler when I got the transmission done. Wow! It works and it works great! 10/10 would recommend anyone that has a 7.3 even if you don’t take much I would get it. Worth every penny.

2002 f350 dually 7.3

I drive a 2002 f350 dually 7.3 I pull a 44' enclosed trailer 11' tall, 2 race cars & golf cart weighing 25K lbs. I've had a terrible trans over heating problem. Getting through town, stoplight to stoplight, temp at 215° to 220° on a 95° day. Cruising at 70 mph on a 80° night, temp at 186°, at 75 mph 191° temp. After installing this cooler, now getting out of town temp max was 175°, same 70 mph on 80° night, trans temp at 160° max. THIS THING WORKS, WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!! Fits perfect with everything you need to install, no modifications needed. Thank guys, I think you have saved me a transmission. A#1 product

2002 F-250

Awesome Cooler and Fast Shipping!!! Must have for your 7.3 The stock Cooler is at most 1/3 the size of this thing. I have a built transmission and it stays nice and cool. Haven't towed with it yet, but normal driving I've yet to see over 140 degrees

Maybe the best up grade you can do to the transmission. I am very happy with the cooler, no problems, bolted right in, came with all the lines, way bigger than the stock cooler.

This Mishimoto Transmission Cooler is a drop-in replacement for the stock transmission cooler. It's not a separate cooler meant to supplement the stock transmission cooler.

Will this work with the zf6 transmission?

According to Mishimoto it will not. Frankly, the manual transmissions will likely not need a transmission cooler, considering they don't generate as much heat as the automatics and automatic transmission fluid. I'm looking very hard at installing this cooler in the front of my 04 ram 3500 in addition to my factory cooler which stinks when pulling heavy loads. I can make brackets but will it fit in my front in front of aircon condenser.
