Keeping your engine cooler can help you squeeze every last ounce of horsepower and torque out of your aggressive 2010-2016 Taurus SHO build, and one of the more cost-effective ways of dropping your engine temperatures, is with 5 Star's new RAT 170 Thermostats. Each of these thermostats opens at a lower temperature than stock which keeps your SHO's EcoBoost V6 running cooler and churning out more power. The 5 Star RAT thermostat drops right into place of your SHO's factory thermostat and features a factory-style diaphragm that provides OEM-style operation and sealing so that neither you, or your Taurus need to worry about leaks or reliability issues. The RAT 170 thermostat will require custom tuning for proper power gains and to ensure reliability.

Custom Tuning Strongly Recommended: 5 Star recommends using custom tuning in conjunction with this thermostat in order to adjust the functionality of your truck's cooling fans to maximize power and performance.
