Simple. It took about 15 minutes to remove the factory exhaust and another 30 minutes to install the new one. I simply used ramps along with basic sockets and a ratchet and it was done in a snap. Fit was literally perfect, which isn't always the case. Sounds good and opens up the flow...along with the CAI, I instantly improved milage by exactly 1.8MPG; which was the intent. I have now traveled through two tanks and that milage is spot on. Will pay for itself with current gas prices in approximately 7 months with the miles I drive.

Ecoboost f150
Overall it's a great exhaust and the stage3 YouTube install video helps all of the newbie guys great like myself. It took me a little bit to get it all off and on because i did it myself but now I'm stoked and love the sound it makes. Turbos come to life and i can't wait to add more performances over time. Look up a video and buy it! Gas mileage has gone up as well about 1-1.5 mpg

2013 F 150 FX4 EcoBoost
Install: Install was pretty simple once I got the stock exhaust off. I did not have to use the extra pipe included due to only having the 5.5ft bed. One thing I did have to do is turn around one of the brackets for the hang clamp that goes around the muffler. This was a simple bolt off, turn around and bolt back on. Before turning around the clamp my muffler made contact with it and when it would get hot and expand it would vibrate. Performance: I am a big fan of the extra turbo whistle and the video below does not due the exhaust justice. It sounds great and for the price point it cannot be beat. I notice the turbos spool quicker and the delay that I noticed originally with the stock exhaust when hitting the gas has been shortened; aka quicker spooling is happening. The sound the exhaust produces is deeper and has a nice rumble. No it is not comparable to a V8, no exhaust out there will make it sound like a V8. Product Quality: The muffler is very nice and everything fit perfectly. I had extra clamps due to not having to use the extension. The bolts worked, nothing was stripped, the cuts on the pipes were not sharp and everything bolted on fine. The muffler looks great and has a nice finish to it. The regular tubing is a little cheap looking but for what your paying its a really good deal. Final Thought: Really impressed with the MBRP cat back exhaust and especially for the price. Look up any online F 150 forum and installing an aftermarket exhaust is a must and a simple first mod. Cannot beat the price, fit and finish.

10-27-18 This installation was so easy 10 minutes to get the stock exhaust out in one piece. I took it out the side no fighting the muffler over the axle. The new one went in in about 20 minutes. Fits great sounds OK. Truck now kind of has a Buick grand national sound to it under acceleration and idle. Definitely, a quiet idle and it's extremely quiet once you're at cruising speed. The only thing you have to get used to is the V6 rasp sound under acceleration. For $250 I would recommend this exhaust the quality was there and it performs. Definitely no fitment issues everything went together super smooth. I also went with the MBRP 3 1/2 inch tip fit and finish is great. 11-12-18 Exhaust still together with no issues. The V6 rasp has become annoying and I went out and got a 12 Vibrant bottle style resonator. Helped a ton with getting rid of the rasp as well as deepening the overall tone of the MBRP exhaust. I installed it right before the muffler. The MBRP tip has tarnished very disappointing. Overall I would still recommend this exhaust and don't plan on removing it.

2013 F-150 Lariat
This kit is easy to install and it comes with all of the hardware you need for installation. The parts are packed very well, organized, and easy to identify. Everything fits directly in the OEM locations and looks factory when installed. The sound is much more aggressive, especially at start up and full throttle, but it isnt super loud. I havent noticed any droning on the highway, but I barely hear the exhaust under light throttle conditions. This is definitely a good bang for buck kit if you want some more exhaust sound on your ecoboost, and it definitely lets you hear the turbos more than the stock exhaust.

Customer Question I have this system and want to add another muffler. Can you tell me what the part number of just the muffler is or where I can buy it?

Asked by: John Clark - 1/23/2019
Customer Answer You'll likely have trouble or really choke off the sound by adding another actual muffler. However, we do have universal resonators available if you're looking to tone down some of this kit's drone. We recommend either MBRP's 22" Resonator or MBRP's 16" Resonator depending on how much room you have on your inlet pipe and how much you want to tone down your exhaust kit.

Customer Question I love the tone but don't like the little bit of drone. What's the best size resonator to add to this and where should I weld it in? DDroning at 1600 to 1700 and 2200 to 2300 rpms

Asked by: JC - 1/10/2019
Customer Answer If you don't want to lose too much overall sound while still cutting drone, you should probably go with MBRP's 16" Resonator. You'll still lose a bit over overall sound volume, but it'll be less drastic than some other resonator options.

Customer Question Will this exhaust have the same sound as the 3" mbrp xp series? The only difference being that this one is aluminized and no tip. The video uploaded for this looks like the 4" and I found many videos online of the 3" xp series.

Asked by: John - 6/15/2018
Customer Answer The 4" video shouldn't have been on this product. This kit will have the exact same sound as the 3" MBRP XP Series system for the 3.5L EcoBoost trucks. The mufflers use the same design, and the only difference is that this kit is made using aluminized steel and doesn't come with a tip.

Customer Question I'm interested in this aluminized 3" mbrp exhaust but I know it's listed for the 11-14 3.5 Ecoboosts. Now the question I have is that I like the way it sounds on your videos on the 3.5, seems like a similar sound as the Gibson but cheaper in price. Do you guys believe this kit will sound the same on a 2.7 Ecoboost? And if so, do you guys believe it fit on a 2016 crew cab? If I modify the hangers on the exhaust kit? Looks to me like the hangers face in different directions on the change in years? Or am I mistaken? I would really like to buy the exhaust if you guys think it's manageable Thanks

Asked by: Pete - 3/25/2017
Customer Answer I doubt you'd be able to get this kit to fit on a 2015-2017 2.7L EcoBoost truck without extensive modifications, including adding a hangar and re-bending tubing. Your much better bet would be the MBRP 3" Installer Series Cat-Back Kit specifically for the 2015-2017 F150 EcoBoosts.

Customer Question I've heard that you shouldn't change their exhaust without first putting in new program? They new exhaust will actually drop horse power down from stock without programmer.

Asked by: Larry - 3/31/2016
Customer Answer Adding a aftermarket cat-back does not require tuning, and will not generally cause a loss of peak power and torque. Larger systems in the 4" diameter range can result in a loss of low-end torque in an exchange for a bit of high-end power, but most 3" systems will not cause a noticeable change.

Customer Question I would like to start with a cat back kit and eventually add an off-road y-pipe and my only concern is what kits will and will not match up. I'm not sure which exhaust brand I want. Are they all interchangeable?

Asked by: Corey White - 5/12/2015
Customer Answer For the EcoBoosts, all the downpipe kits and cat-backs we offer are interchangeable, since they'll all technically bolt-on to the stock hardware. That being said, we tend to recommend using parts from the same manufacturer as they test their own fitments with their own parts, so you're less likely to have issues. That being said, we have folks mix and match all the time, and there's rarely a problem.

Customer Question Making some plans for tax refund time in April. Can you confirm this will fit my 2014 F-150 Tremor if I trim the front pipe enough? The stock exhaust is too quiet, even though the Tremor doesn't have the factory resonator like the other cab lengths.

Asked by: Ryan - 2/9/2015
Customer Answer This kit will actually not fit the short 126" wheelbase of the 2014 Tremors. For whatever reason, the equivalent MBRP 4" Kit does comes with enough tubing that can be trimmed down for the Tremors.
