2013 F150 FX4 3.5EB
Installed on my 2013 EcoBoost FX4. Instructions are decent; depending on your truck's wheelbase you may need tools to cut the pipe to length. Fit is decent, re-uses one factory hangar and adds a second bolt-on hangar. The included tips are nicely machined and polished stainless. Good quality clamps and hardware included. The muffler included has very little sound attenuation. It will be LOUD. I do not recommend this for a V6 because everyone within 5 square miles will know you didn't get a V8. Personally I couldn't stand it, made the truck obnoxious and is not tolerable for road trips. I switched to a Summit turbo style muffler which quieted it down a bit, but I had to modify the piping since it is a giant pain to re-align the tips with anything other than the stock muffler. Additionally the piping runs close to the leaf spring mount, resulting in contact on bumps. The aluminized piping looked nice until the first rain, then sprouted large splotches of rust all over it. Very disappointing as my Dynomax aluminized kits resisted rust even after a couple years. It is at least all mandrel-bent and has decent welds. Overall if you are looking for an extremely loud and aggressive looking exhaust, this fits the bill for a decent price. Be warned that if you tire of the noise it is a pain to change mufflers afterwards. I do not recommend for V6 applications.

Customer Question What is the difference between this installer series cat-back and the xp series (MBRP-S5261409) cat-back? Both have the same pictures but almost a $100 difference.

Asked by: Brent - 9/14/2017
Customer Answer The MBRP Installer Series systems use lower-cost aluminized steel, while the XP Series systems use higher-quality and more corrosion-resistant 409 stainless steel.
