Love this thing. We bought it before heading on a cross country trip from Texas to Michigan. I averaged 11-12 MPG while pulling our RV and only had to fill up once along the way with plenty of fuel to spare. Anybody that tows knows how much of a pain it is to find a pump when you're pulling a trailer of any kind. As far as install, this was so simple. I figured it was going to be much more difficult than it was. This model sits below the bed so you can easily fit a cap/cover over it. As always, I was very impressed with Stage 3. They called me shortly after making the purchase to verify that I did not have an aluminum bed because if I did, I would need a gasket to go between the steel straps and the bed to prevent corrosion. All in all, I highly recommend this product.

I opted to have this installed by a shop, since I did not have the time or tools available to do this myself. The install appeared to be fairly easy with the tools needed. Be sure to read the instructions, and Titan is very helpful and was able to clear up a couple issues the shop mechanic was confused about. The tank is great and Titan is great, the shop I had do the install, not so much. Once the install is finally complete I am sure I will be happy with this tank.

Customer Question Does being in direct sunlight (heat) affect it ? Any issues ?

Customer Answer Other than some sun fade after a good amount of time, there is generally not issues with sunlight or heat as long as you don't overfill the tank so that there's room for some fuel expansion when warm.

Customer Question Will this tank fit under a tonneau cover? Will this tank work on a 2020 hd3500 Chevy diesel truck

Customer Answer It depends on the tonneau cover and how much depth you have in your bed from the bottom to the bed rails. The Travel Trekker won't fit with a retractable tonneau cover that uses a canister. You should be able to clear most roll-up tonneau covers (like the TruXedo TruXport, Deuce, Lo Pro, etc.) that have slightly raised rails. You may have issues with any low-profile folding tonneau, especially those that have fairly thick panels. This part number is actually semi-universal and should fit and function on a 2020 GM 3500 Duramax.

Customer Question My F250 (2004) has the sprayed-in Rhino liner type of coating. does this effect the installation of this tank in any way? I'm not sure what thickness the liner coating is either, but just want to ask if it causes any issues. thank you

Customer Answer A spray-on liner doesn't really effect installation or function. The only potential issue with a spray-on liner is that the tank will sit up a tiny smidge taller than if it was on a bare bed, which could be an issue with tonneau covers that sit extremely low in the bed.

Customer Question what is the difference between this tank and the one for 1900? also is there anyway it can over fill the primary take if you don't shut it off in time?

Customer Answer The Titan 60-Gallon Tank comes with a more advanced controller that can fill up to a pre-set amount of fuel and it has a larger capacity than the Travel Trekker. The Travel Trekker's controller automatically shuts the pump off when your primary tank is full, so the chance of over-fill is slim.
