Easy to install. Looks great. Does have a few things that doesnt work correctly. Software V1.18. Heat seats work, but at the highest level no matter what. Air blows through vents when driving at a certain speed with ac/heat off. Never was like that previously. Really wish it had sirius built in. Ended up installing a siriusxm 360 radio. I can see support will be a issue with this product. Couldn't get ahold of GU about a question, as I see tons of others do as well. That is my biggest worry of all. Hopefully improvements will be made in the near future ..

Customer Question 2018 f150, I have the BO system with the factory sub. Will this unit let me 'delete' the factory sub and hook up my own aftermarket amp/sub?

Customer Answer This unit utilizes all the factory connections and modules and does not have an external connector for an aftermarket sub/amp. So you would need to look for the same adapters as if you were trying to run one with the factory stereo. It does have it's own built in amplifier for the entire system.

Customer Question Couple Q’s. Would love some A’s. Does this unit offer wireless CarPlay or must it be tethered? Do I maintain my use of Sync3 features? Does it FULLY support the 360View cameras? Does it screen mirror? Are streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix usable? And are they usable in motion? The video seems to suggest either heavy glare or poor color on the display. Is this accurate?

Customer Answer According to GU AutoTech: 1). The unit does not support wireless Apple CarPlay. Only Tethered. 2). Not all Sync3 features are kept. If there are specific Sync3 features you're concerned about, give us a call directly. 3). The 360° cameras are fully supported. 3). The unit does not screen mirror. 4). YouTube and Netflix are accessibly through the built-in browser, however, they will not play while the vehicle is in motion. 5). A lot of the glare is just due to how the camera picks up incoming light into a dark cab with a lot of contrast. In person, with a human eye, it's not anywhere near as bad. Customer Answer The Multimedia Station does not affect remote start. It is not compatible with various Ford Sync or app functions, and remote reprogramming of your doors is likely affected.

Customer Question Hi, I have a 2020 f250 lariat. I saw a YouTube video about this system and there was an option for the f250 and lariat package. I was just wondering since the title for the system says it’s just for f150, if that it’s compatible with f250s as well ?

Customer Answer The Multimedia Station does not support all of the features and functions of the Super Dutys versus the F150s, and GU Auto Tech no longer recommends this system for the Super Duty trucks.

Customer Question With the V2 unit, can I turn on the backup camera while the truck is in drive? Also, will this unit support Android auto in the future?

Customer Answer As far as I'm aware, you can't select the rear camera while the truck is in drive with this unit. Android Auto support is supposed to be available in the future, but I don't have an ETA.

Customer Answer This system is not effected by your F150's seat configuration. The unit will work with the stock backup camera.

Customer Answer The Multimedia Station has its own built-in USB ports. Unfortunately, the installation of the unit does disable the USB ports in the center flow-through console.

Customer Answer This unit is not currently compatible with Android Auto. The unit does not allow you to access Ford Sync, outside of the features that aren't head unit dependent.

Customer Question What is the difference from v1 and v2 last I ask GUTech and they said that there head unit does not support factory backup camera for the 4.2” screen for some odd reason and will need to run aftermarket one. Does the V2 support the 4.2” screens backup camera now?

Customer Answer According to GU Auto Tech, both the V1 and V2 are now compatible with the 4.2" screens and their backup cameras. The V2 just has additional compatibility for higher-tier F150 submodels with more OEM features.
