Very happy with this level kit, feel like it raised the front the perfect amount and the NX2 shocks definitely help take a little bit of the stock “floating” feeling out of it. Would recommend getting the new intrusion beams as well if you’re going with 285 tires, you’ll have to do trimming.

Customer Question I didn't see in the pictures on the website for the BDS 2" level lift for the ranger, the bottom spacer for the coil? Is this still part of the kit?

Asked by: James - 1/19/2024
Customer Answer Yes, BDS does use a combo top and spring seat spacer on their 2" kit. Noah speaks about it at 5:20 of the installation video we have imbedded on this listing.

Customer Question Hi, will this fit a 2021 ranger tremor? Not sure if the tremor package makes a difference, I have seen other leveling kits with disclaimer regarding fitment with that package

Asked by: Fred - 10/14/2023
Customer Answer Unfortunately this kit will not work on a Tremor trimmed Ranger due to the differences in front strut assemblies and this kit utilizing a lower spring seat spacer. If wanting to use a spacer to lift the front of a Tremor trimmed Ranger, we recommend only using a kit that utilizes a top mount spacer only.

Customer Question Would 265/70R17 tires work with this? Wondering if they would look too small after installation or if the ride would be off since they aren’t 285.

Asked by: Matt - 8/4/2022
Customer Answer There's no reason why you couldn't use a 265R70R17 tire, and looks is such an aesthetic, subjective opinion that's really up to you. Personally, I probably wouldn't go smaller than 275/70R17, but you do you.

Customer Question Does this kit help ride quality on-road? Seems like my 2019 XLT sport ranger bounces around and can feel every bump on the road. Want to add a 2” level but also want to improve ride quality to not give me a headache. I will be getting 1 size larger tires also.

Asked by: Alec - 5/30/2022
Customer Answer This kit can help a bit. The NX2 shocks help rear-end jounce to some extent, however, it doesn't do much to the front. Your better bet would probably be the Bilstein 5100 Package.

Customer Question Will this kit work with the standard xl or xlt shocks? 2021 ford ranger

Asked by: Rich - 4/21/2022
Customer Answer Yep. This kit will fit all 2021 Rangers (except Ranger Tremors), regardless of submodel.

Customer Question I have a 2021 Ranger Lariat 4wd FX4....would I need to replace my FX4 shocks or just get the spacers?

Asked by: Stephen Barabash - 11/21/2021
Customer Answer According to BDS, this kit works just fine with the FX4 front coilovers.

Customer Question I have a 19 ranger with FX4 Package. Should I invest in the upgraded shocks with this package, or are the upgraded shocks with my FX4 better?

Asked by: Mark - 9/17/2021
Customer Answer The FX4 shocks are generally inferior to the BDS NX2s, much less the Fox 2.0s. The Fox 2.0s are a good option for pretty much any truck, regardless of factory shock package.

Customer Question IF I get this with the fox shock option, would it make sense to just get the rear fox set as well?

Asked by: Dale Baker - 3/16/2021
Customer Answer This leveling kit only comes with rear shocks. Front shocks/coilover assemblies are not included. If you select the Fox shocks from the drop-down menu, you will get a pair of rear shocks. If you would like a full set of Fox 2.0 front coilovers and rear shocks, check out our Fox Stage 1 Package.

Customer Question With this level kit, Would I be able to fit a 275/70r17 tire on a wheel with a +25 offset? I really want to avoid any trimming or fudging with the crash bars.

Asked by: Allister - 11/15/2020
Customer Answer You will likely not have issues with the crash bars with that tire, though we have not tired it ourselves and can't 100% guarantee it. Even if you don't have crash bar problems, you would likely get some rub on the valance that would require minor trimming there.

Customer Question Do i need to purchase the intrusion beams, for this lift?

Asked by: Nolan - 11/13/2020
Customer Answer That depends entirely on what tire you're running, what wheel you're planning to use the tire on, and whether you're concerned about removing the stock crash bars in the first place. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected].

Customer Question What is the advantage of using the kit that comes with rear shocks versus one that doesn’t have rear shocks? Just wondering what the rear shocks add. Thanks!

Asked by: John - 10/22/2020
Customer Answer The shocks are a huge improvement over stock and help improve rear end stability and handling. While not required, they are a nice addition.

Customer Question What is the largest tire that will fit on a factory 18” rim with this kit without trimming the crash bars? Or with the BDS intrusion bars. Rather not buy new rims considering I like the look of my factory rims.

Asked by: DMitc150 - 9/28/2020
Customer Answer If you want to avoid all chances of rub in nearly any application, then you should probably stick with a maximum of a 275/65R18. You might be able to get away with a 275/70R18, but you may see a little scrub off-road.

Customer Question Would front Fox 2.0 coilovers make a good combination with this kit?

Asked by: Mike - 9/8/2020
Customer Answer Not really, only in that the Fox 2.0s would make this kit pretty irrelevant. Since the Fox 2.0s are completely new coilovers, you would not need to use BDS's spacers for the stock struts. If you want to use the Fox 2.0s, you really wouldn't need this kit, and you should probably just grab the Fox 2.0 rear shocks while you're at it.

Customer Question Is it realistic to think I can fit 275/70/17 on stock wheels with this kit and no mods to the crash bars?

Asked by: Wilson - 6/11/2020
Customer Answer You'll probably be fine with a 275/70R17 on the factory wheels during normal street driving. You might see a hint of rub if you're articulating and turning at the same time, but it should be fairly minor.

Customer Question What tire are you running on your white ranger?

Asked by: Sky - 6/11/2020
Customer Answer We ran an LT285/70R17 BFG KO2. That size tire did require the use of 1.50" Wheel Spacers and trimming the crash bars.

Customer Question Will the replacement intrusion beams give enough clearance for 285/70r17 tires with 1.5" spacers

Asked by: drdprtrlf - 5/26/2020
Customer Answer We haven't tried it, so we can't 100% guarantee it. At only 2" of leveling, you may still get some rub with that wheel/tire/wheel spacer combination.

Customer Question I read there was the alignment issue with the BDS Suspension 2" Leveling Kit for 2019 Ford Ranger 4WD? Can the vehicle be properly aligned without the addition of upgraded UCAs. I will retain the stock 255/65R17 tires.

Asked by: Pete - 2/11/2020
Customer Answer In general, you can get the Ranger's aligned just fine at 2" of leveling. A big problem when these trucks first came out and this kit was first released was that a lot of alignment shops did not have proper alignment specs for the Rangers from Ford. In our case, the alignment shop we used did not have new Ranger specs, but did have specs for a 2016-2018 T6 Ranger, which proved successful in getting our truck aligned. These days, that's less of an issue.

Customer Question Does this kit guarantee 2" of front lift? Minimum?

Asked by: Biff Tannen - 1/1/2020
Customer Answer This kit is rated to add 2" of front ride height. Since the kit uses a preload spacer, some ride height gains will vary depending on the condition of your factory spring. If you're concerned about achieving a specific ride height, your better bet would be an adjustable coilover.

Customer Question Will this fit on a 2019 2WD Ranger?

Asked by: Jason Toth - 10/29/2019
Customer Answer Unfortunately, BDS has not confirmed fitment of this kit on the 2019 RWD Rangers.
