The 2017-2018 Raptor's Fox 3.0 coilovers and shocks are tough to top, and we knew that it would take something incredible (and incredibly expensive) to top the stock Fox hardware. Yet, the 2017-2018 Raptor's suspension isn't without flaws. Unsurprisingly, more than a few manufacturers have jumped at the chance to develop suspension modifications for the 2017-2018 Raptors so that you can squeeze some extra ride height, performance, handling, and good looks from your hyper-aggressive off-road truck build.
Leveling Kits:
Unlike the 2010-2014 Raptors, the stock Fox 3.0 coilovers don't feature adjustable perch settings, meaning that easy ride height adjustments and a quick way to squeeze on 37" tires aren't on the table. However, more than a few manufacturers have come up with simple and inexpensive ways to let you eek out some more ride height without totally replacing your factory Fox coilovers. ReadyLift has a 1.5" Spacer Kit, a 2.5" spacer kit, and a 2.5" kit with a 4" rear block. ICON has developed an IVD Attitude Adjustable Collar System that can add up to 2.25" of height. Daystar has a 2" Spacer Leveling Kit available. If you're not interested in a spacer, then Eibach has drop-in replacement Pro-Lift Springs that add 2.5" of ride height to your Raptor.
Upper Control Arms
While the factory Fox 3.0s are extremely impressive, the stock UCAs are not helping them out. The Raptor's stock upper control arms (UCAs) have a pretty basic design and construction, not to mention, they're fitted with a standard ball joint that's likely to fail if you're really tearing your Raptor around off-road. What your Raptor needs is a beefy set of UCAs fitted with stronger to joints to avoid issues during aggressive off-roading. ICON has both a Billet Uniball UCA Kit and a Billet Delta Joint UCA Kit that features their new Delta Joints that combine the long-term reliability of a ball joint with the strength and articulation of a standard uniball. Rogue Racing has a set of Boxed Steel Uniball UCAs, which can also be found in their Stage 1 Kit that include tie rods.
Complete Lift Kit
If you are looking to give your 2017 Raptor a towering ride height and the ability to clear huge tires without needing to trim or swap your front bumper, then a lift kit is what you're probably looking for. Fabtech has a Complete 4" Lift Kit that reuses both your stock 3.0 coilovers, as well as your Raptor's stock 3.0 rear shocks so that you don't have to sacrifice your Raptor's suspension performance when going with a huge ride height.
Fox 3.0 Recirculating Reservoir Coilovers and Rear Shocks
So, what exactly does it take to upstage the factory Fox 3.0 coilovers and rear shocks on your 2017-2018 Raptor? Leave it to Fox to find out, and if you have the coin, then the Fox 3.0 Internal Bypass Recirculating Finned Remote Reservoir Coilovers and the Fox 3.0 External Bypass QAB Adjuster Recirculating Finned Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks may be for you. These immensely powerful suspension components come loaded down with features and will provide your Raptor with huge performance off-road with greatly reduced fade so that your hyper-aggressive Raptor can conquer practically any terrain. The front coilovers are pre-set at 2" of ride height over stock and feature an adjustment collar for setting them at 0-2" of height. They also come standard with DSC adjusters and a unique bridged and finned recirculating remote reservoir. The rear shocks are capable of handling an extra inch of rear ride height and come with QAB adjusters for their external bypass tubes and a similar bridged and finned recirculating reservoir as the front coilovers. While pricey, the Fox 3.0 Recirculating Coilovers and Rear Shocks are currently the top-dog of Raptor Suspension modifications.
