Hardcore off-roading and towing means lots of shifting which broils your truck's transmission fluid and leads to hard shifts and poor overall function. The stock transmission oil pan with it's low volume and fairly weak design can make for testing experiences, especially if you're using your truck for towing, hauling or off-road performance. Our good friends over at aFe have come up with the perfect solution for your F150 with this awesome, high-capacity, cast-aluminum oil pan. This Transmission Pan from aFe carries 7 quarts more oil than stock, giving you a total transmission oil capacity of 19.1 quarts. The huge volume of oil combined with the pan's cooling-oriented design drastically reduces transmission temperatures and keeps your truck's 6R80 running at it's best, even under extreme conditions with tons of shifting.
Greatly Improves Transmission Cooling and Heat Dissipation
Unlike your truck's stamped steel transmission oil pan, the aFe high-capacity F150 oil pan is manufactured out of high-quality A380 cast aluminum which already dissipates heat much more effectively than stock. On top of the aluminum design, the aFe F150 oil pan comes standard with cooling fins that radiate heat away from your truck's transmission to improve its cooling ability and overall functionality. aFe's pan may be made out of aluminum, but it comes standard with reinforced ribs that make it incredibly strong and able to absorb impacts that would ruin the factory pan's (and your) day.
Easy Maintenance and Bolt-On Installation
aFe's pan also makes changing out your truck's transmission oil much easier thanks to its built-in neodymium magnetic drain plug than can be removed with a 1/2" drive socket. The pan even includes a 1/8" NPT port for fitting a temperature probe for use with mechanical gauges or other vehicle monitors. aFe's pan features a black powder coat finish with machined fins that gives it a great look and protection from corrosion. The pan is a direct and easy bolt-on replacement for stock and reuses your factory gasket and filter.
