Great kit for the price, the back sits up a little higher than the front so I'm hoping in a couple months everything will settle down and be even. I put the lift on myself and would not recommend doing so if you don't have a lift. This would be a nightmare to do with a jack and jack stands. All in all a great product and maintains a pretty factory ride quality. I put 35x12.50s on with no problem

Nice lift at a good price. Me and my old man installed this lift in my driveway with just some jacks and jack stands in a day. Very easy lift to install with some minor cutting. With my wheels and tire set up, I did have to take the plastic off the bottom of the bumper, cut the ends of the accident bars, and trim some of the plastic on the inside of the bumper for it to not rub. I'm running 20x12's with a -44 offset on 35x12.50s. The only bad thing I can say about this lift is the instructions from rough country were pretty crappy when it came to which part goes where. They all had stickers on them but the instructions didn't mention the numbers on the stickers so it was kind of a guessing game.

I ordered the Suspension Lift Kit directly from Rough Country and they gave me a military discount. Then, I took it straight to the Ford Dealership I purchased the truck from for the install. It took them a little over 2 days to complete it and I couldn't be happier. I am 6'3 and I have to make sure I get a good foot hold of the step bar before I get in the truck, my kids have to run and jump in and it makes me chuckle every time. My truck is level and the ride is as smooth as it was when I bought it. The rear shocks could be stiffer but I will ride them for a while until I purchase some new ones. I put some 20 inch rims with a -19 offset and 35x12.5 tires on the truck with no trim and there is absolutely no rub. I want to put some 22s on the truck, just to fill out the wheel well a bit more but I don't want to have to cut or trim so it is still up for debate. I get plenty of looks and complements as I ride around town in what seems like a monster truck to most people. Overall I am happy with my purchase and will be buying another RC Lift if I buy one of the newer generation F150s.

Amazing quality for the price and it steps on the toes of the bigger brands with this being such high quality and lowers price point that they can’t match, I would but this lift for any f150 I would buy.

Customer Question Can you run this lift lower than 6” in the front with coil overs or a smaller strut spacer? Basically, are the knuckles and drop bracket 4” or 6”?

Asked by: Matt - 1/21/2021
Customer Answer You could run this at a lower ride height, since Rough Country does use the same crossmembers and knuckles as the 4" kit. Granted, you could just get the 4" version of this kit here, unless you want the larger rear blocks.

Customer Question I already have the Eibach springs paired with the bilstein 5100 struts and shocks I know I’ll need to replace the rear shocks but am I able to keep the same suspension setup I have up front?

Asked by: RyanW - 12/19/2020
Customer Answer You wouldn't, since the amount of lift provided by the Eibach Spring and the Bilstein 5100s would be too tall for the knuckles and crossmembers of the Rough Country Kit. You could potentially use the 5100s with the stock spring at the 0" factory ride height in conjunction with this kit's strut spacers, but you can't really push this lift kit taller.

Customer Question I just bought a 2017 f150 with a 6 inch Rough Country lift installed. I'm thinking about replacing the coil spacer and adding coil over shocks to it. Question is what do you recommend for an coil over upgrade and what other parts or pieces would you recommend upgrading on this lift.

Asked by: Gregory Fowler - 11/1/2019
Customer Answer That really depends on what you're looking for in regards to performance and price range. If you want maximum performance, you can use BDS's Fox 2.5 Coilovers for 6" Lifts, though there are plenty of other potential options. Give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 for other possible options.

Customer Question If I use a wheel spacer can I clear the new knuckle with stock 17in wheels on my 2016 F150?

Asked by: ThatKid - 5/12/2019
Customer Answer Unfortunately, Rough Country has not confirmed fitment of any 17" wheels with this kit or 17" wheels with spacers.

Customer Question I have a 2016 F150 XL Sport 4x4 SC with stock 20" Wheels, what is the maximum size tire I can run with this lift?

Asked by: Adam - 4/16/2019
Customer Answer Due to the backspacing requirements of the knuckles, you'll be limited to a 295 wide tire on the factory wheels, so you could do something like a 295/65R20.

Customer Question Is the only difference from the 4" and 6" the block sizes? I'm thinking about purchasing the 4" lift and in the future moving up to a 6".

Asked by: Jr - 9/13/2018
Customer Answer This kit also uses larger strut spacers and different rear shocks than the 4" kit. Really, your better bet would be to just get a 6" lift right off the bat to avoid the hassles.

Customer Question I have a Ford F 150 FX4. I am averaging 16 mpg right now. What should I expect with 6” lift, and 35 12.5 20 tires?

Asked by: Scott - 8/14/2018
Customer Answer You're likely to lose at least 2-3mpgs due to increased wind resistance, extra weight of the tires, and the rolling resistance of whatever tires you choose. However, we can't guarantee a specific number.

Customer Question What is the biggest size tire I can run with stock 18s?

Asked by: Junior - 7/18/2018
Customer Answer With the factory 18" wheels and no spacers, you're limited to an 11.5" wide/295mm wide tire. The biggest you could ideally go would be a 295/75R18 though no one really makes that size. Realistically, you'd want to go with a 295/70R18.

Customer Question I would like to have some rake due to towing. Will this lift kit give me some rake?

Asked by: Silverio - 7/7/2018
Customer Answer This kit tends to get the trucks pretty close to level. Your better bet would be to the Zone 2015-2016 6" lift or 2017-2018 F150 6" lift, and choose their 5" rear block options. Alternatively, you can do the 4" rear block option and then add a 1.5" rear add-a-leaf into the mix to get back rake and improve capacity. Really, your options are going to depend on what you're towing and how much rake you think you need. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277.

Customer Question I’m lifting a 2018 F150 with this kit just like my ‘15. 35” tires on 20X9” -12 offset wheels. I had tuff country upper control arms & they had a hell of a time at the alignment shop. Do you sell uniball UCA’s that work with 6” lifts?

Asked by: Ray - 5/7/2018
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we don't recommend using aftermarket UCAs with lift kits that use a strut spacer. The issue is that larger tubular UCAs have trouble clearing the upper strut mount, due to its lower position with the Rough Country spacer.

Customer Question Can you run this kit with a 2" add a leaf and rancho 2" quick lift to get an 8" lift?

Asked by: JP - 3/3/2018
Customer Answer You technically could, however, we don't necessarily recommend it, since you may also need also require other hardware to avoid driveline issues and you'll be throwing off your truck's suspension geometry which could cause ride quality problems. While an add-a-leaf kit in the rear is likely fine, we usually recommend using an adjustable coilover up front so you can start at a 0" ride height and work your way up to gauge what other hardware you may need and what kind of ride quality you'll get.

Customer Question can you use a 17 inch wheel with this kit? (4.5" backspace)?

Asked by: dennis - 2/19/2018
Customer Answer Unfortunately, you cannot. According to Rough Country, you need to use an 18" or larger wheel to clear the kit's knuckles.

Customer Question What are the rim/tire specs. on the magnetic fx4 you have pictured?

Asked by: Jason - 1/28/2018
Customer Answer Unfortunately, that's a customer's truck, and he did not provide us specs. If I were to take a reasonably educated guess, it looks like it has 20x10" wheels with a -12mm offset and 35x12.50" KO2s.

Customer Question My truck is currently leveled with the Eibach coils and struts (2.7 inches of front lift) what spring spacer would I need to use in the front to be able to run this lift and keep my Eibach coils and struts in the front?

Asked by: bmoore1488 - 11/2/2017
Customer Answer It really depends on what kind of ride height you're looking to get out of your truck. If you want to stay close to 6" of ride height, then a 3" leveling spacer would probably be your best bet. If you want to go a bit taller than 6", then using a 4" strut spacer would work. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what ride height you're looking for.

Customer Question Does this quite require cutting of the sub frame?

Asked by: Alex - 7/31/2017
Customer Answer It does. All 2015-2017 F150 4" and 6" Lift Kits require subframe trimming and drilling for installation.
