If you choose to use the DRL wiring harness, do not use fuse #36 in the power distribution box for power as some directions suggest because this circuit has a constant draw that will drain your battery. Use a fuse # that is an accessory such as fuse #18 which is for power steering. For bulbs I used VLEDS Micro Extreme H7 4,500 lumens, 6,000 Kelvin led bulbs for the low and high beams which fit great inside the headlight assemblies. These headlight assemblies look great, and the light output is amazing.

After going back and forth between brands for about 2 weeks, i can honestly say that im 100% happy with my choice. In my humble opinion, they are not only the best looking headlight but also one of the best priced ones as well for the quality of headlight they are. Have had them installed for about 4-5 months now and i have had zero problems with them. Only thing i get with these are commented.

At the same time that I ordered these lights, I ordered LED bulbs to replace the halogen bulbs that come with them. Getting the new bulbs in was an exercise in contortionism, as I have fairly large hands, but it wasn't too bad. Just take your time and it will go easy. Installation was pretty straight forward. Remove your grille, then remove the lights. Easy enough. Running the wiring harness for the DRL was also straight forward. Once installed, they look great. I checked them for aim, both high and low beam, and they were pretty close right out of the box. Of course this may differ, depending on your vehicles ride height. The DRLs work as they should. They are bright with no other lights on and go dimmer when the running or head lights are on. Overall, I am very pleased with the lights and happy with my decision to get them.

Really nice set of headlights. I do wish they provided nice LED bulbs but thankfully I had a pair of SV.2's waiting to pair with them. I also wasn't a fan of them switching from factory to H7 but it's not a huge deal. Install was easy outside of the confusing harness instructions. Everyone has different luck/side effects with or without wiring it up. Still a huge upgrade over factory lights and nice to add the led strip similar to the Technology package upgrade (Minus being individual LED's around the strip on the factory version).

I purchased the Alpharex Pro with Jet black housing, my truck color is Magnetic gray and they look perfect! The install was actually easier than I thought but just YouTubed it to see how to install them. I did switch the bulbs out for Hikari LED H7 bulbs for the high beams and low beams. The Hikari bulbs fit perfectly in the housing and are very bright!!! They also have a great cutoff. These housings are well worth the price, look amazing and work great! The only thing is that they tell you to put the wire for the DRLs to fuse 10 or 36 (If I remember correctly) but for some reason it did not work properly on my truck. After some trouble shooting I used the trailer lights fuse in the fuse box and that has worked perfectly for me. You will need a fuse tap and I picked one up from Autozone for like $5. Other than that it’s been awhile and I usually get compliments on the way the lights look almost daily. Just order yourself a set thru Stage 3 Motorsports and you won’t be disappointed.

Wouldn't buy again. With LEDs they are brighter than the horrific halogens but not dramatically so. The annoying part is that since they make both high and low beams H7s even the high beams aren't very bright. One of the LED strips on mine works when it wants to. The only answer Alpharex had was to swap DRL wires which I am not even using. Have constant moisture problem with mine. Again, their answer was to open the back of the housing to let it escape while letting it sit in a climate controlled garage. I guess they never tried to access the lights while they are on the truck. It's a giant PIA. Should have bit the bullet and tracked down some OEM LEDs or maybe try Morimotos.

These lights suck. The projectors are poor quality and the edge lighting failed within 5 minutes. Do not buy this product! A quick internet search will yield many people that have had the same experience. Since I am unable to return these, I will throw them in the trash and contact Morimoto directly for a good pair of headlights. If you’re looking to upgrade your OEM halogens, spend the big money. All of these $500 range headlights aren’t worth the trouble.

WOW!! What a game changer! I had originally found these at another vendor for a little over $700. When they refused to price match the Stage 3 price, I immediately returned them as son as they arrived and ordered them from Stage 3. Knowing that they come with H7 halogen lights, I purchased two sets of Auxito H7 6500K LED bulbs. That was the cherry on top! Highly recommend Stage 3 for all your F-150 aftermarket needs!

Customer Question I have a 2018 ford f150 stx will it fit my vehicle and what does it mean by halogen models only??

Asked by: Dan - 11/10/2022
Customer Answer These headlights will fit a 2018 F150 STX as long as it came with base halogen reflector headlights. The 2018-2020 F150s could come with either a standard halogen reflector headlight that uses traditional halogen bulbs or an LED headlight that used built-in LED projectors. Ensure that your headlights are base halogen reflectors before ordering. If you aren't sure what headlights you have, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected] so we can help.

Customer Question How do adjust the left to right alignment? My drivers side is way too far left

Asked by: Jim - 5/16/2022
Customer Answer According to AlphaRex, these headlights do not have horizontal adjustments. AlphaRex suggests checking to make sure the bulbs themselves are properly seated inside the projectors and then to double-check the beam pattern against a flat wall at 25ft, especially if you've installed an aftermarket LED conversion kit. If you're still having issues, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected].

Customer Question Do you guys have a LED conversion kit that would "in theory" work with the wiring for this headlights? I just got them yesterday and thought i could just replace the bulb.

Asked by: JOEY - 5/28/2021
Customer Answer In theory, any H7 LED conversion kit will work. We just can't guarantee you'll be able to fit the entire LED, driver, and wiring into the headlight housing. The two that may work and fit in the housings are either the CrystaLux G11 Series H7 or the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0s, though we have not tried them personally.

Customer Question Do you guys have a how to video on wiring the harness that comes with these?

Asked by: JOEY - 5/28/2021
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we do not. AlphaRex has a general guide on their site, but we have not had the opportunity to make a video with these lights as of yet.

Customer Question I just ordered mine and it came with the DRL wiring kit bit no fuse tap. can you confirm that it does not come with a fuse tap plz

Asked by: taylor herman - 1/14/2021
Customer Answer Unfortunately, AlphaRex is no longer including an Add-a-Fuse Kit with the headlights or the included DRL harness for some reason. Local auto stores are probably your best bet.

Customer Question Do you have a led bulb set up for low and hi beams that you suggest from your site?

Asked by: Scotty - 11/8/2020
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we haven't had the opportunity to test any LED conversion kits in these headlights. In theory, you can use any H7 LED conversion kit, though we can't guarantee what ones may require a dust cover modification. The ones most likely to give you the fewest problems is the CrystaLux G11 H7 Kit, but we can't 100% guarantee that you'll be able to fit the driver inside both the high beam and low beam housings.

Customer Question I have a 2019 XLT. I know these will fit my truck, however I do keep reading about it needing signal adapters for them to work on a 2019. Is this still true with the "jet black" model, and if so how do I get a hold of those adapters.

Asked by: RD - 4/6/2020
Customer Answer As far as we're aware, signal adapters are not required to run these headlights on a 2019 F150.

Customer Question What is the difference between the nova series and pro series?

Asked by: Joey - 2/18/2020
Customer Answer The biggest difference is that the Nova Series features a dual-beam setup using LEDs for both the high beams and low beams, giving you four light projectors in total. The Pro Series uses a fairly industry-standard halogen setup with an H7 projector for the low beams and a second H7 projector for the low beams. The LED outline strips have similar functions, but the Nova Series will have better output out of the box.

Asked by: Matt - 11/24/2019
Customer Answer These headlights now come standard with a sequential turn signal, and no additional charge is required.

Asked by: F150guy - 10/27/2019
Customer Answer In theory, you could. We have not tested these headlights with any particular H7 LED conversion kit, and we can't guarantee that you'll be able to fit the driver and wiring into the headlight housing.
