One of the big things that Ford is pushing with the latest line is that they have more technology than in previous years. Why should your running boards be any different? Luckily AMP Research has got you covered with these innovative PowerStep boards that are made with durable materials to provide enough strength to propel you into your cab and then tuck away for a sleek look. Each Powerstep board serves a specific purpose. If you live in an area that gets a lot of snow for example, then the Xtreme model is perfect for you. The reason for this is because the Xtreme model specifically has an aggressive design for extreme traction. If you are after something a little bit more simple, then the Powerstep Plug N Play is for you. The Plug N Play includes all necessary hardware for installation and features a design that includes waterproof motors that are encased in a waterproof housing. Lastly, if you want the grand-daddy of them all, then you are after the Powerstep XL, Currently, for the 2020s we have the XL for Crew Cab F250s with more selection on the way. The XL sits about three inches lower than the other two running boards and has an integrated LED lighting system that lights up the rail that is constructed with 6063 Marine Grade aluminum. The XL is also created with die-cast aluminum allot components with an anodized and PTFE coated, Military spec finish to resist corrosion.
