[UPDATED]A Bullitt Mustang with an E-Force Supercharger and TruFiber Hood

The S197 Bullitt Mustangs are some cool Ponies, but they can be a little difficult to shop for due to their unique under-hood setup with their unique strut tower brace and inlet tubing. Well, that didn't stop Dana out of Pennsylvania from transforming his 2008 Bullitt into one of the most awesome Mustangs that we're seen in a long, long time. This sweet Bullitt just installed an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger System and a wicked TruFiber SVT-Style hood that he ordered from Stage 3. More importantly, he sent us some awesome photos that we're more than happy to show off.

Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger on a 2008 Bullitt

First up is the supercharger. The Edelbrock E-Force system can increase the power levels of your average 2005 to 2009 Mustang GT to 466 horsepower with 439 lb-ft of torque using Edelbrock's included tuning and hardware. The bad news for Bullitt owners is that you'll need to get the system custom tuned on a dyno. The good news is that you'll probably make a good deal more power. The real thing to note about the Edelbrock E-Force kit is that it fits perfectly under your Bullitt's numbered strut tower brace with just enough clearance so that the tower and supercharger aren't rubbing together.

The Mustang E-Force kit doesn't just give your Pony a great boost in power, it's also one of the better-looking supercharger kits for the 2005 to 2009 Mustangs. Clean lines, awesome curves, aggressive coloring and lettering all make you happy to pop open your hood and show this thing off. While it may not be the most powerful kit on the market, it's definitely one of the better choices for Mustang owners who want huge horsepower and torque gains in a clean, classy package -- and it fits perfectly on the Bullitts without sacrificing any of their charm.

On to the hood, and come to think of it, this may be the first time we've seen one of TruFiber's aggressive Mustang hoods decked out in Bullitt Dark Highland Green. Even if it's been done before (I'm sure it has), the end result for this TruFiber SVT-Style hood is amazing. TruFiber's slick hood design completely changes the character of Dana's Bullitt without taking away from the rest of that unique Mustang. Dana's probably not complaining about the extra cooling from those rear-facing vents that help keep his E-Force Supercharger that much cooler.

Thanks again to Dana for the photos! Make sure to check out the lovely reviews that he left on both the E-Force Kit and TruFiber Hood. Awesome job on an awesome Mustang!

UPDATE 4-5-2013

Dana just sent us in a dyno sheet of the runs he made after install, and the results are actually pretty impressive for the Edelbrock E-Force with no other mods than a dyn tune:

Edelbrock Mustang E-Force dyno run

By our calculations (adjusting for a 15% drivetrain loss), Dana is putting down roughly 486 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque at the crank, which is about 20 more horsepower and six lb-ft of torque more than a standard GT using Edelbrock's tuning. Dana said the tip in the power curves was caused by bad spark plugs, which may have skewed the torque numbers slightly.
