Before you Buy: 2019-2020 Ford Ranger FOX 2.5 Factory Race Series Front Coilover Breakdown!

The 2019-2020 Ford Ranger could use more height for especially demanding off-road trails. While there is an abundance of 2019-2020 Ford Ranger aftermarket leveling options to remedy this shortcoming, you can go a number of different routes. You should start with 2019-2020 Ford Ranger aftermarket coilovers and few manufacturers produce better products than FOX. While we've had great experience with FOX parts to provide enough ride height to clear large rocks and protect the valuable components underneath your truck, the latest kit we tried on our 2019 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Project Truck took our suspension to the next level. When you are speeding across rocky trails, you can trust the 2019-2020 Ford Ranger FOX 2.5 Remote Reservoir Factory Race Series Front Adjustable Coilovers to handle whatever the path throws at you. The 2.5 coilovers were built for high-speed off-roading and provide so much more ability than FOX's 2.0 coilovers or leveled struts! Before you buy, learn a little more about what FOX's mighty front suspension kit provides, what it is made of, and how to install it.

Better Suspension & Capability for Off-Road Travel

In order for a better ride and to prevent damage underneath your midsize truck, you'll find this pair of FOX 2.5 Remote Reservoir Factory Race Series Front Adjustable Coilovers quite exceptional. FOX designed the Race Series 2.5 coilover for precision control and better suspension damping for an easier and more forgiving drive. These kits are pushed to their limits by racers out on the race track and have proven their worth repeatedly; you can trust you are using race-proven parts when equipped to your midsize Ranger build. The coilovers feature an adjustable ride height from 2" to 3", making them an effective leveling system to stay scratch-free on rocky terrain. This also gives you plenty of options if you do not want a full 3" of front leveling when navigating the terrain. The extra height also adds an aggressive, tougher look that the Ranger just does not have from stock. The FOX 2.5 Kit's remote reservoirs contain a larger volume of oil to keep the coilover from overheating. Improved cooling helps when your Ranger tackles rough terrain at high speeds for extended lengths of time. Remote reservoirs will allow for more consistent damping as well. While an internal reservoir might fade, an external one has a better chance of resisting fade. The coilover kit also fixes that ugly rake we all dread to see and thus improves handling when you most need it.

Adjustable Dual Speed Compression Ability

If you are changing weight, terrain, or want a better drive, then Fox has you covered with these 2.5 coilovers. Compression can be adjusted to your liking because of FOX's integrated Dual Speed Compression (DSC) Adjusters. This can be easily done with the turn of a knob for either low speed or high speed adjustments, which is way more convenient than the hours it takes to tune non-DSC shocks. The DSC allows you to fine tune your Ranger's ride for the most comfortable experience and the best performance based on the type of driving you are doing. For DSC high speed, when the knob is fully open and turned counter clockwise, you will receive the least amount of compression damping for a softer ride. If you turn the valve fully clockwise and closed, your ride will be firmer with the greatest amount of compression damping possible. Your tuning can be modified anywhere between this range to your liking. For DSC low speed tuning, the process works the same way. Special AccuTune equations help with the special valving needed for the tuning. Because of this intuitive technology, your next off-road ride will be so much more smoother and tailored to your needs.

Tough Construction to Resist Off-Road Abuse

In order to withstand the abuse that rigorous off-road roads can cause, FOX's 2.5 Factory Race Coilovers use the best components. The coilover uses a smooth bore zinc plated seamless steel body and a nitrogen-charged coilover shock that's wrapped with an adjustable 3.0 Eibach spring. Both parts work together to improve off-road suspension performance. A 2.5" smooth bore and honed seamless alloy external remote reservoirs dissipate heat faster than internal reservoirs. The coilovers feature a 7/8" hard chrome-plated steel shaft and a 6061-T6 hard anodized, high-flow piston design for excellence. Application specific valving also maximizes performance for a better off-road drive. The integrated Eibach racing coil spring can be adjusted for preload and ride height and come pre-set to level your vehicle without adjustment. In extreme conditions, high-quality, redundant seals also make the coilovers extremely reliable.

Straightforward & Well-Worth It Installation

We installed this Fox Coilover Kit onto our 2019 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Project Truck and loved how it operated for us. The install may be a little time consuming, but FOX makes the process as straightforward as possible and the end result is well worth it. Please note that these coilovers will require some vehicle disassembly of your front wheels, skid plate, and sway bar at the beginning of your install. Toward the end, some drilling for self-tapping screws and brackets will also be needed. FOX also recommends that you inspect your wheel alignment after installation since the Ranger's suspension geometry has been altered. Professional alignment keeps you safer by avoiding weird tire wear issues and allowing it to track straight on the road. Check out our Youtube video below for a more in-depth process and visual example of how to install the kit.
