The great guys at Rancho know their way around a suspension system, a fact very evident in their various lines of purpose-built and entry-level shocks. For that reason, we've recently expanded our selection of Rancho shocks, which are now available as drop-downs from some of our favorite lift and leveling kits as well as individually. Here at Stage 3 you'll find Rancho shocks built specifically for lifted trucks and heavy-duty applications as well as those more geared toward ensuring a smooth and supple street ride. Read on to get a detailed look at the different shock options by Rancho now available right here at Stage 3 Motorsports.
Rancho's RS7000MT Front Shock offers performance on par with Bilstein or Fox without the premium price tag. This performance-ready front shock features an enlarged 46mm bore and 1.97" monotube body for enhanced stability and improved heat dissipation. The 14mm hardened-chrome rod provides superior strength and durability so that your Super Duty can handle even the most rugged trails with ease and confidence. The off-road inspired fluon-banded piston minimizes the potential for aeration and shock fade, while the body is finished in a brushed, zinc-plated liquid silver coat for a premium, show-truck look. This heavy-duty front shock is ideal for 3/4 - one-ton pickups carrying lots of weight. The RS7000MT is also available in a version that supports 4-5" lifts.
The RS5000 is exactly what it looks like - a solidly-built white body shock at a price point you just can't resist. If moderate trail-riding is about as intense as it gets for you, this is the shock setup to get. You'll get a smooth, refined street ride and decent enough performance off-road, just don't expect Rancho's white body to handle 80mph runs through rocky terrain. Twin-tube construction and ten-stage velocity-sensitive valving ensure optimal strength and dependability for light-duty towing and off-roading. You can get the RS5000 in a 4-5" lift variation as well.
The RS5000X is one step up from the RS5000, the primary difference being its "Cross Tune Technology." This patented rebound valving system includes progressive rebound and compression discs, which help to control the energy of motion as the cycle of the shock increases or decreases in its action. This technology effectively reduces harsh initial impacts and offers improved control of the flow of fluid in a progressive, gradual manner through the valving stages. The RS5000X is available in a front and rear 4-5" format along with the 2.5" variant.
The RS9000XL Series is Rancho's premier performance shock purpose-built for heavy-duty towing/hauling as well as off-roading. Featuring nine levels of performance through adjustable compression and rebound, the RS9000XL can achieve a 400% difference in valving just by switching from level 1-9. This is the ultimate performance shock choice if versatility is your thing - whether you're carving through rugged off-road trails or hauling a trailer, the RS9000XL has you covered. This low-pressure gas-charged shock is built around a triple-tube design and enlarged 2.75" body for unbeatable defense against unexpected suspension input. Just like the rest of Rancho's selection, this front shock is also available in a 4-5" lift variation.
