The good news about the 4.6L V8 is that there's not shortage of intake upgrades you can make, and we here at Stage 3 list a ton of different cold air intakes for the 4.6L F150. Granted, the big selection is a bit deceiving as there's a split between the 2004 to 2005, 2006, and 2007 to 2008 Model Years on a lot of the intakes, but there's still several decent options for both. Go with aFe if you want an aggressive sound and look, Airaid if you want mellow quality, or S&B if you need something with good quality on the lower end of the price spectrum.
Folks with a 2004 to 2006 F150 4.6L can also see a nice benefit out of BBK's 75mm Power-Plus Throttle Body. The throttle body drops in right in place of the stock throttle body and provides your 4.6L V8 with some extra horsepower and torque without any tuning required.
Just like the 5.4L F150s, one of the bigger bang-for-your-buck performance improvements is a new performance tune, especially a custom tune from 5-Star Tuning. An aftermarket tune can add nice power gains to your truck without the need for any "hard" bolt-on parts at all, making it easy to get F150's 4.6L V8 churning out more horsepower and torque. 5-Star's Custom Tuning is available on SCT's X4 Handheld Tuner, Livewire TS+ Monitor, and their iTSX Bluetooth Tuning Device. 5-Star's custom tuning can also adjust your truck's engine parameters for really aggressive modifications like long tube headers, so that you can take your truck to the next level of performance.
Speaking of long tube headers, our friends over at Stainless Works have a pair of systems that will help you squeeze a mess of horsepower and torque out of your truck and give it one of the most brutal sounds on the road. Stainless Works offers both a 2004-2008 F150 4.6L 1-5/8" Off-Road Long Tube Header System and a 2004-2008 F150 4.6L 1-5/8" Catted Long Tube Header System so that you can tailor your sound and power. The off-road system totally deletes your truck's catalytic converters for maximum sound gains and a wicked rasp. The catted system tones down rasp and interior drone while still providing considerably more horsepower and torque over stock. Both kits will require custom tuning for proper function and may not be street legal or pass emissions in some areas.

I have a 2004 F150 4x4. I am interested in the whole package. What are we talking on a quote?
