Great!!! This should be factory on every ecoboost. Can't believe all the crap this removes from the system. No drilling. Routing the hoses is the most important part. Stop reading reviews on this, just buy it and go drink a beer...

Not pleased at all. The hoses are of good quality, but that's about it. When it arrived, the connector to the clean side separator didn't fit into the hose adaptor. This tells me there was ZERO review before putting into the box... Anything of QUALITY and this would have been caught, I mean COME ON! Send a part and it doesn't even fit with the included hoses!?. I was told I would be notified and given a tracking number once the replacement part shipped (not to my surprise) I was never notified. The hoses wouldn't fit on the can because the screws that held the rotating mounting plate got in the way... Yet again, another attribute to a not-so-quality product. The petcock valve fell apart and I had to put it back together. Remind me again what I'm paying $400 for??? Once installed (which IS relatively easy and that's a good thing since the instructions are useless) my truck started running weird. Not sure if the can is limiting vacuum pressure or what but the truck idles higher and the boost idles around -4psi, versus the normal -10. It is acting a lot like the truck did when my dirty side pcv hose popped off actually. Ran about a tank's worth with the can and so far not a drop collected. Id catch more with an empty beer can and steel wool. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I SAY DO NOT BUY.

So had time to write proper review of this product. Install pretty straight forward Keep all stock parts. (Will get to that) After 2nd drain really saw all the crap that went back to engine to be burned So had to call UPR cuz of burn oil smell like other reviews had to pull all 3 can hose hook up & put Teflon tape as UPR instructed $400 part seriously!!! So it stopped smell. Be carful doing this cuz they are aluminum!! Now to the freezing issue. If it's below 20-25deg you have to let your truck idle for 20 or so to drain. Location in front of radiator makes it freeze. If it freezes UPR says take off middle hose pour hot water Have done several times it works. So try to drain everyday. This is not told at time of purchase. Thus keeping stock parts. May want to change back for winter months. Overall will keep on truck due to all reviews say it helps with longevity on direct injection engines. Lots maint!!!!

This catch can kit is easy to install with the factory style connections. All the materials seem to be high quality. My only dislikes are, I got the old instructions with the new CSS and had to figure out on my own that I had to drill my stock airbox. The second thing is that the hood brace presses onto the lines on the passenger side. I pulled it all out thinking it doesnt fit, until I found online that this is normal. Maybe the new style instructions would tell you this.

Installed this on my F-150 roughly a month ago and couldn't be happier. The install was quick and painless. Instructions were clear. It did come with a small bracket to drop the can further down in guessing to address the rubbing issues I have read about on the lines. Everything looks great and was high quality. Going to attach a picture of the crap it stopped from getting into my engine. It was ridiculous! If you're in the fence about buying one of these or if it's worth it....lay that to rest and buy one!

Bought this and installed on my 2014 F150 King Ranch with Ecoboost. Product came with everything I needed to complete the install and looked good. Hoses were quality and nicely done. The instructions were simple and detailed enough to complete it in a single effort. (less than an hour) Had I not dropped the mounting bolt and lost it in the frame I would have been done a lot easier. (trip to Ace Hardware solved my problem)

UPR took lots of the comments on this package and updated the components. Install was a breeze, although the instructions from UPR are atrocious. Found a YouTube video from another vendor that walked you through the install pretty easily. The clean side separator has been modified so that it uses the factory fitting, just click in place and rotate so that the hoses route easily. So far, it is catching oil as designed - any dealer that says you do not need this preventive maintenance item is full of it. As soon as I took the stock lines off oil started dripping out of both of them and there were clearly carbon deposits in the throttle body from the oil that had blown by. Easy 30 minute install and effective - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great purchase for my F-150 ecoboost, it was hard for me to believe some of the reviews of what this catches. I sure did after about a week after installation! Installed it where the horns are and moved those closer to the hood release. Running the hoses and placement of exactly where I wanted them was more time consuming than anything, not hard though. Highly recommend this product!

I'll start by saying I read a TON of info on catch cans. I tried the RX can (now McNally). I wasn't impressed, didn't want to drill my charge pipe, cut hoses to length etc., so I sent it back. UPR seemed to be the way to go. The UPR Mega can is far superior, took all of 10 minutes to install (pay attention I went too fast and had the two hoses on the passenger side reversed) and was totally plug-n-play. I'm catching oil and have gained .1 MPG so far. Love it!

Backordered from UPR for a few weeks waiting on a hose. Stage 3 was excellent with communication about this and I ultimately received a discount from UPR which Stage 3 matched! Overall the assembly was good quality, However, the Instructions were poor at best. Mine came with a 3 standoff for mounting the can, but no talk about this in the instructions. The drain valve on the bottom of the can was loose and seemed to be of poor quality, though usable. I replaced the mounting hardware as well as the drain valve with similar aircraft quality hardware. Otherwise, I am happy with it. Time will tell how much oil I collect.

Extremely impressed at what this catch can has been keeping out of my engine. Here in Louisiana we have an extremely high humid climate. This catch can has been catching a lot of oil blow by and also water from condensation build up. I have also noticed my misfiring at high rpms has gone away. Very much impressed, so much so I ordered one for my wife 2015 Expedition. Definitely an engine saver.

Install time was approximately 30 minutes and went on fine. Instructions need to be updated to meet the current requirements of the newer mounting of the catch can. Now does it work? Well it does catch quite a bit of moisture. Now frankly knowing a thing or two about condensation- as this can is mounted in front of the radiator which is a cooler location than the air that is being vacated from the engine I think much of the moisture is just condensation that is formed by being rapidly cooled. I don't think the amount of water I have drained is a good representation of moisture that is being routed back through the engine. I have drained it a few times with large amounts of mostly water coming out. Yes there is an oil mixture but nothing like what I have see in the internet videos. This is with about 3k miles since the install. No mileage gains whatsoever. Be careful not to spill any of the mixture on the vehicle or yourself as it is a rancid smell that stays with you. I will only give 4 stars as I do think things could be priced better, but it is a quality unit.

Took me about 2 hours to put on. Take your time! If you get confused about anything in the install slow down and take your time. I rushed, ended up installing part of the can incorrectly and that ultimately lead to me making some hasty decisions with a sazsaw. The can catches about 4oz per 100mi when I'm doing city driving and about 6-8oz per 400mi if I'm doing hwy only. Each time it seems like it's equal parts oil:gas, occasionally I've gotten some water in the mix. I can easily see this adding up to well over an entire quart per oil interval. I had my truck re-flashed at the ford house this year before I tuned with 5 star, I think this does play into it. My brother in-law has a year model newer truck (13') than mine with box tunes from a superchips and I suspect a less recent dealer flash and his catch can collects nearly triple what mine does. I wish this product weren't so stinking expensive. It is a quality piece though, there's no denying that. I can almost guarantee you that if purchase one of these cans, you'll see results within 100mi of installation.

Looks awesome right behind the grill and blends right in for a factory look. Only problem I had is getting the stock plastic intake cover to fit back on completely. It's getting hung up on the driver side, but I'm sure if I take another look at it it'll snap right on or at worst just need some minor modification. This kit is complete plug and play, only drilling I needed to do was two holes to relocate my crash sensor. Great product and I can't wait to see how much oil it pulls out.

Like other said the install is really straightforward and didn't take that long. Great quality in overall product. So far it's withstanding the cold weather and harsh environment that I drive in. After two weeks I finally drained it and was surprised to see what came out (good mixture of oil, water, and gas approx 10oz worth). My truck is modified (CAI, catless DP, 5-star tune) and I did notice a lot smoother idle and no hesitation or misstep at full throttle. I purchased the black version of the kit for a more stealthy look. I was initially impressed with the quality of the catch can, hoses, and fittings, except for the worm gear hose clamps at the tee fitting. Even though the hoses are all the same size, there were two large hose clamps with long tails sticking out and one smaller, more properly sized hose clamp. I removed those hose clamps, used heat shrink tubing to prevent the outer braid of the hose from fraying, and replaced the ugly worm gear hose clamps with black double grip plastic hose clamps for a cleaner look. The hoses mated up to everything perfectly, but when I mounted the catch can in the stock hole, I couldn't close the hood because the hood brace hit the catch can. I moved the catch can an inch to the right using a different mounting hole on its bracket, but the hood still hit it. I then drilled a hole another inch to the right and tried again with no luck. I then lowered the catch can using the included 2-1/2 standoff (which is not detailed in the instructions). The catch can then cleared, but the hoses still hit the brace. I finally tied the hoses back with a zip tie the get them to clear the hood brace. When I closed the hood, the catch can vibrated and I heard a rattling sound come from inside. To make a long story short, I had to remove the entire system to send the catch can back under warranty to have them open it up to fix whatever is loose inside. I will also be ordering another standoff (available separately for $9.99) to stiffen up the mounting to prevent the catch can from coming loose under vibration. I would give this kit 3-1/2 stars, but I'm hoping UPR will see this review and make some improvements to the mount and the installation instructions at a minimum.

Seems a bit pricey for what it is, but it does appear to be pretty good quality hose, connections and can. Instruction were lacking as many others have said, but after watching some youtube videos I figured it out and had it installed in less than an hour. It does now come with a drop bracket, so the hoses dont rub on the hood when you latch it, so thats nice that they fixed that issue. I had heard some people got a surprise and had to drill into their air intake box? Not sure about that.. mine was plug and play with no drilling. After researching this item, i was pretty impatient to get it on my truck after seeing what all it kept from going back into the engine, i would say its a preventative maintenance must.

The directions were a little hard to follow but trying to explain exactly where things need to go on paper can be kind of hard. Better pictures would make it easier but glad some were there. The can itself seems to be of good quality and fit without interfering with the hood, though very close. The braided lines were a perfect fit and also seem to be of good quality. I had no problems reinstalling the engine cover. I would recommend cleaning out the intercooler. I had quite a bit of fuel/oil mix come out of mine and after only 2 weeks of normal stop and go traffic, I opened up the drain on the can and had some fuel/oil drain on a rag. I can only imagine the amount during my next oil change. In my opinion, well worth the money if it going to help prolong the life of my truck.

Definitely a must for any Ecoboost owner. I'm very happy with the kit. The hoses and the catch can. Are all high quality parts. The instructions aren't the greatest. But it wasn't hard to figure out. After three days of cold weather driving. I drained six ounces of oily water out of the catch can. Now for the one thing I didn't like. The standoff provided in the kit. It only mounts to the truck with one screw. And holds everything out. Where the hoses get in the way of the grill brackets. I think UPR dropped the ball on that one. They should have provided a better way of mounting. For such a nice kit. I remedied that. By making my own bracket. All in all though. A great kit. Would definitely recommend.

Materials are first Rate. The hoses are stout and will last the life of the vehicle (10 years +). The canister will outlast me and several vehicles. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. 45 minutes to install with my OCD and double checking everything twice. At first I thought this thing was gimmicky, but after reading all the posts I figured I might try it. Glad I did! With only 1000 miles on the Catch Can, I quickly realized I should have purchased this long ago. Do not drive your Ecoboost without this device!!! The items it has captured should NEVER be recirculated through an engine.

I was a bit skeptical about the price, but I must say I am amazed by how much gunk this Can is catching. Install was very easy and took approx. 1/2 hour. Most of that was routing tubing and getting it just right. All the connections are plug and play making the install super clean and easy. I am super happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone considering a Catch Can. You won't be disappointed!!

It does catch stuff! Does it improve MPG or increase horsepower? I can't say. Will it prevent early engine failure, one can hope it will reduce my chances. The installation was straight forward. Though every model vehicle will have something slightly different. My install was easy. The can and hoses supplied look and feel like they should last the like of your engine. The connectors make the job easy. In the past month I have collected about 8oz in 1000miles. Thanks UpR and Stage 3 shopping and shipping was smooth.

Product quality seems great. Very solid construction, plug and play adapters. Truck seems to be running fine after installation, but I haven't had it on very long. I'm removing a star for a seemingly quality product because the instructions are TRASH. The parts don't seem to align with the instructions and the instructions are extremely confusing. I disregarded them and used multiple videos online from competitors and customers and was able to confirm my thoughts around how to install. Seriously - please send relevant instructions with your product. This definitely makes me think twice about ordering from Stage 3 again. I have to believe that I'm not going to be extremely confused with a product or worse put it on incorrectly due to poor instructions. Overall, great product but please update the instructions to receive a 5 star rating.

After much web searching I decided to go with UPR mainly because of the ease of install I thought it would provide. Only took about 30 minutes, but it was helpful having a YouTube video right there to refer to as the instructions are not very easy to read or very clear. I would recommend UPR produce a professional video using the current version of their product. The one on YouTube they refer to doesn't appear to be made by them and is not the same equipment, but it's close. The can and hoses seem very well made and are plug and play. Really the hardest part is getting the hoses ran through the firewall and under/over all the engine components. I drained the can after one month of city driving and got 16 oz of crap, so it definitely works.

I bought this Catch Can and a K&N Intake Kit on Black Friday this past year. They have been in the box until today. I originally bought these because Im getting a tune in the future. My ecoboost has been bone stock for all 72,000. I had to change plugs for the first time today due to the Infamous Shudder, Misfire at High RPM and WOT, Power loss, Lag, and idle. Misfire was the last straw. This morning I put in some NGKs and the truck felt much smoother and all of the previous issues were noticeably improved. This afternoon I installed the Catch Can and the Intake and all of the previous problems we're 100% corrected. I highly recommend this Catch Can for any of these issues I've experienced. Install is 30-45min for intake, catch can another 30-45min. The truck drives the way it should have been designed originally. I recommend you get both of these products together because this truck drives amazingly.

IT IS AMAZING what I have caught in the 2 months I've had it, and to think of all that nasty crap going into my motor? No wonder it's studdering when you floor it, you're flooding it out with a bunch of nasty bs. Best $400 I've dropped on anything in a while, I love my truck but no longer have any respect for ford knowing that this junk is being sent back through engine and not doing anything about it. So if you want longevity out of your EcoBoost I'd say a catch can should be a no brainer. Thank you, Chris Jenkins

Everyone says I had to have it to I have it. It does what it's supposed to do, lots of orange discharge when you drain it. Install not bad. You do have to bend and twist the can to get your hood to latch unobstructed which to me isn't a bolt on, UPR customer service aware that it's not a direct fit for most applications. Time will tell if plug life is better as I changed plugs with install. Additionally, cab smells like oil now at idle when warm. UPR customer service said that is normal. They tried to explain to me that extra oil smell could also be coming through my cold air intake.......in a sealed box. For what that's worth.

I had originally purchased the smaller can from JLT. That can only attached to the dirty side. The product worked but this is the lesson I learned. The can is small and fills up quickly. Also, its difficult to drain and you need to do it weekly in order not to become full, especially in colder weather. This mega catch can system is great. Very easy to drain and the capacity is wonderful. Only difficult part is routing the hoses past the radiator into the engine compartment. It took a few attempts to reroute the hoses in order to get the cover to fit back in place. I'm not a mechanic by any means and this was an easy installation. I followed the instructions and watched a YouTube video that helped make it simple. The plug n play system made things even more simple especially for someone as unqualified as me. Highly recommended. Don't waste your money going the cheaper route.

I installed this myself in less than an hour and bought the upgraded parts, because I want it to last. Customer Answer The can is cleanable and can be disassembled. Just remove it from the truck and unscrew the bottom on the knurled edge.

Customer Question I had this unit installed on a previous vehicle I owned from new. I have another truck the same year and model but with 240,000km on it. Will it still be beneficial to install this even this far into the vehicles life

Asked by: Andrew - 8/6/2021
Customer Answer That somewhat depends on how long you're planning to keep the truck and what condition its motor is in. It can still be beneficial if you drain the intercooler and at least have your valves checked if not walnut blasted and essentially start over from scratch.

Customer Question Can the catch cans operate in freezing weather. I live in Alaska and would be concerned with frozen water rupturing the lines or catch can itself

Asked by: mexkimos - 11/16/2020
Customer Answer The cans can still operate in freezing weather. In general, the water content that gets captured is fairly low, and as long as you empty the can on the regular, you should not have issues with general operation, though the water will separate and freeze.

Customer Question Is there any difference between running this setup and separate driver/passenger specific cans?

Asked by: Everett - 8/4/2019
Customer Answer The MEGA Can does have a more efficient separator mechanism than in-line cans and a larger capacity than running even dual in-line cans, so you get improved capture and don't have to empty it as much. But from a practical standpoint, both methods get the job done, and if your truck doesn't produce that much PCV blow-by to begin with (some trucks produce more than others), then there's nothing inherently wrong with using two in-line cans.

Customer Question what are Billet Pro Series Check Valves? Does unit come standard with check valves? What is High-Flo PCV Fitting? Does unit come with PCV fitting? Trying to understand the options. My brother and me are both interested in a catch-can for our vehicles.

Asked by: rbincola - 3/30/2019
Customer Answer The can comes with its own check valves, the Billet Pro Series Valves are just slightly higher quality. The same goes with the PCV fitting, which is included. UPR's High-Flo fitting is just a bit better quality and arguably flows better than the base fittings. Frankly, we think most of UPR's options are a but superfluous, and the base can with its standard hardware works perfectly well on 99.9% of trucks and applications.

Customer Question I installed this about 2 weeks ago and about a tank of fuel ago, I just checked my can and I got almost a half a cup of oil and fuel, 1/4 of it was oil and about 3/4ths is fuel, is this to be expected or possibly something wrong? Truck has afe cold air intake, and live wire tuner, running 91 performance tune.

Asked by: Garrett - 3/27/2019
Customer Answer First, make sure it's actually gasoline. The emulsion of water vapor, blow-by, and combustion by-product can look and smell like fuel, but generally isn't. If it is fuel, you may want to run a datalog and see if your truck is running rich or if your injectors are getting stuck open.

Customer Question Since installing on my 2014 3.5L, I smell a lot of raw gas when walking around the front of the truck. It fills the entire garage with a gas smell when setting overnight. I'm guessing this isn't normal. Are the braided hoses permeable? Or do I have a bad o-ring or connection somewhere on the can? Advice on key locations to look would be appreciated.

Asked by: Michael Herbolsheimer - 2/25/2019
Customer Answer Some amount of smell isn't unheard of as the mixture of dirty blow-by and moisture sitting in the can makes a pretty acrid aroma. That being said, if it's overwhelming and smells like it's everywhere, check to make sure the catch can's ball valve isn't leaking and that the PCV connections are all fully seated. If you don't see anything there, take a look at the check valves and ensure that they're facing the correct direction and aren't clogged. If you still can't fin anything amiss, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277 for further troubleshooting.

Customer Question On the UPR MEGA Catch Can w/ Clean Side Separator how do I know if I need to buy the Billet Pro Series Check Valves and the Billet Pro Series Check Valves

Asked by: Joey - 2/21/2019
Customer Answer The Billet Pro Series Check valves are not required for this catch can. They're just an upgrade over the standard check valves UPR includes with this catch can.

Customer Question I installed this on my truck about 6 months ago and it's still empty. I even checked the hoses and they're still dry inside. Also when I open the valve with the truck running, is the can suppose to be sucking air in?

Asked by: Josh - 2/3/2019
Customer Answer There should be some amount of airflow. If you haven't yet, you probably should take a look at the included check valves and ensure they're both facing the right way and functioning properly.

Customer Question How much difference do the optional check valves and pcv fitting make in terms of performance?

Asked by: Brian419 - 12/14/2018
Customer Answer We've never done a head-to-head, but with all other things being equal, they likely don't provide a huge bump in capture performance. They're really meant for long-term reliability, so they're arguably worth the investment if you're going to hold onto your truck for a long time.

Customer Question Where can replacement petcocks be purchased? Or does anyone know the size? I have had this on my truck for a while now and mine has about bit the dust. Trying to get a replacement before I possibly ruin the current one taking it out.

Asked by: Ross - 12/11/2018
Customer Answer According to UPR, the can uses a 1/4" NPT fitting for the ball valve, and you can use any 1/4" NPT valve as a replacement.

Customer Question I was about to purchase the Mega Catch Can for my 2014 EcoBoost, but I made a quick call to UPR for some information. Because I do some towing with my truck, they recommend I also install their Billet Pro Series Check Valves. Do you recommend this as well or is it OK to just go with the provided check valves. If you do recommend, do you sell the upgraded valves?

Asked by: arjee911 - 9/24/2018
Customer Answer Frankly, we find the standard check valves work just fine for practically any application. The Billet Valves offer slightly better long-term reliability, so if you're going to hang onto your truck for a while, then they're a decent upgrade option. Outside of that, it's kind of hard to justify the price due to how well the standard valves seem to work. The Billet Check Valves are now a drop-down option for this catch can.

Customer Question I had this UPR catch can on my 2014 3.5l v6 F150 and removed it before I sold it. I now have a 2016 3.5l v6 F150 and wondering if it can be modified in order to fit my new truck?

Asked by: Josh - 9/2/2018
Customer Answer It really can't due to the 2016 F150's having different PCV routing, a VPS sensor in one of their PCV lines, and a different grille design that precludes mounting the MEGA can in its intended location.

Customer Question Will this catch can work on a 2015 Expedition?

Asked by: Michael - 3/24/2018
Customer Answer Not out of the box. If you're willing to find another mounting location and adjust the line lengths/routing, you can probably get it to work. Unfortunately, UPR does not currently have a kit for the 3.5L Expeditions as of yet.

Customer Question Has this product been tested in really cold temperatures? I'm concerned that some of these really cold (i.e. -20F) mornings the water/oil/gas trapped by the can could freeze, expand, and potentially burst the can and/or hoses.

Asked by: Adam - 1/5/2018
Customer Answer Some freezing is possible under subzero conditions, and for customers that live in areas of extremely cold weather, we recommend a pretty aggressive emptying interval in order to avoid freezing too much of the can contents. That all being said, I have not heard of one of UPR's cans bursting due to freezing up.

Customer Question My Ecoboost has close to 90,000 KM. Will installing this prevent and problems? Will this help with any damage that not having one has created? Or is the damage already done?

Asked by: CW - 10/31/2017
Customer Answer UPR's Catch Can can still help your truck. However, before install, I would strongly suggest cleaning out your truck's intercooler and at least checking your intake valves for carbon buildup. Keep in mind that there are many EcoBoost trucks out there that don't have catch cans and have no issues. While we still recommend getting one to prevent blow-by related problems, not having a catch can is hardly a disaster or a death sentence for your truck's motor.

Customer Question I just installed this unit on my 2013 F150. There seems to be several different versions of this item. I believe I installed the unit correctly, however, the lines have tight bends. The lines are not kinked closed but they are bent pretty tight. Is this a problem or am I good to go?

Asked by: Dan Hollowell - 10/6/2017
Customer Answer You may want to re-check your routing, but as long as there aren't kinks and the can is capturing blow-by, you should be fine.

Customer Question Will this assembly void my warranty?

Asked by: John - 3/16/2017
Customer Answer In general, a bolt-on part like the UPR catch can does not generally effect your overall powertrain or bumper-to-bumper warranties. However, all warranty decisions are up to individual dealerships, and your best bet would be talk to your service department and see what leeway they give.

Customer Question Does one need to do a PCV delete(Full Race) for this or just leave the factory PCV alone??

Customer Question Will this fit with a full race intercooler?

Asked by: Bob - 9/14/2016
Customer Answer It won't fit in the standard location in conjunction with the Full-Race Intercooler. We've had some folks get it to work by drilling a new mounting hole on the radiator support closer to their passenger's side headlight, but even then, clearances are pretty tight, and you may want to consider UPR's Engine Bay Mounted Dual-Valve Catch Can as an alternative.

Customer Question Does this have a replacement internal filter or do I just clean it?

Asked by: A Aron - 8/21/2016

Customer Question Will there be issues with freezing in cold weather? I live in northern Manitoba Canada and -35 Celsius is common.

Asked by: Chris - 4/29/2016
Customer Answer It depends somewhat on what your can is mostly capturing, but in general, the water content of the blow-by can freeze in extreme temperatures. If you're in an extremely cold climate, we recommend emptying the can before turning off the truck for the night to ensure as little moisture content freezes as possible.

Customer Question I purchased this a few thousand miles ago; is it common for the catch can to significantly drop MPG? I typically get 24+mpg hwy but since the can install I get no more than 21 with a tailwind and max 55mph. Again, is this common or is this install/fabrication error?

Asked by: Generalnfx - 3/10/2016
Customer Answer With a proper installation, a catch can should not effect fuel economy.

Customer Question Does this catch can come with a sight glass? Also for mounting it under the hood, do you guys provided hardware and or instructions to mount the catch can?

Asked by: Derek Russell - 11/23/2015
Customer Answer The can does not come with a sight glass, and the included hardware only allows for a bolt-on installation outside of the engine bay. For an interior mounting solution, you would need to make modifications to both the mounting bracket, and likely the kit's hoses.

Customer Question Question: I have a 2014 F150 Eco Boost FX4 and my wife has a 2015 Eco Boost Expedition, will this catch can work for both vehicles?

Asked by: Peyton Rice - 11/19/2015
Customer Answer Not without modifications, as the engine bay layout of the Expeditions is a bit different than the F150s. You need to find a new mounting point, and you'll likely need to modify the hoses included in the kit to get it all to work.

Customer Question I purchased this catch can a few months ago works great. My question is in regards to a warranty claim with Ford. My 2013 eco has an oil leak on the timing cover below the passenger side head. I had local dealer look at it about a year ago, before catch can they cleaned it up put dye in oil could not find the leak. They assumed it was there from manufacture. It is now back should I remove catch can before I take it back in? Thanks

Asked by: Nate G - 10/23/2015
Customer Answer In general, a catch can won't have an effect on your F150's factory Powertrain or Bumper to Bumper warranty. However, all warranty decisions are up to individual dealerships, and your best bet would be to talk to your service center directly and just ask what their policy is on bolt-ons like a catch can. If they act negatively, then it would be a good idea to remove the can before you take your truck in.

Customer Question Will this work on the 2015 Ecoboost 3.5L? Where do you mount the collection can? Are the install instructions step by step with pictures? Will this product, after installation, effect the mfg warranty in any way? Thanks, Geoff.

Asked by: Geoff - 9/17/2015
Customer Answer It will not work with the 2015 F150s. UPR's 2015 F150 Dual-Valve Catch Can is available here. The can comes with instructions, though you can also refer to our installation video for additional information. In general, basic bolt-ons like catch cans won't have an effect on your vehicle's warranty, however, all warranty decisions are up to individual dealerships, so its best to talk to your local service department directly.

Customer Answer In general, a catch can or oil separator won't have an effect on your truck's overall Powertrain Warranty, however, all warranty decisions are up to individual dealers and you should speak to your service advisor directly about what kind of leeway they give in regards to aftermarket parts.

Customer Question I have the smaller dual-valve can on my F150 and am wondering if I can order the Mega Can only without the hoses etc? The can catches a lot when it's cold here in Minnesota and since it's my wife's daily driver and I'm not always around to drain it I think the extra capacity would be good. I'd rather not pay for a whole new kit. Thanks.

Asked by: Todd - 5/19/2015
Customer Answer It may be possible to just order the can itself, though we do need to know which specific can system you have, as UPR has made a couple of changes since their first release. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 1-877-578-2433 so we can verify which can you have and see if we can put in a custom order over to UPR.

Customer Question How long should this take someone with basic mechanical skills to install and how often should you empty this?

Asked by: Eli - 12/8/2014
Customer Answer It shouldn't take that long to install at all. After you mount the can, all you really need to do is route hoses and put connections into place. How often you should empty the can is going to largely depend on your climate and how many miles you put on your truck. It wouldn't be a bad idea to drive around for a week and see how much you do empty out it to give you a decent baseline.

Customer Question So I was looking at the dual valve catch can, compared to this 4 chamber catch can. So is more better? Does this have a higher efficiency rating or what does it do more effectively than a dual catch can?

Asked by: Mike697 - 11/27/2014
Customer Answer Their actual separator design is more or less the same between both cans. What you're paying for with this can is a much larger volume than the standard dual-valve which will extend the time between needing to empty out it's captured fluids.

Customer Question I want to know if I get the catch can and install it now, then later get the front mount full race intercooler, will it all fit together correctly- since I notice the horn brackets are higher on the new intercooler. Will that get in the way of the catch can?

Asked by: Steve - 11/21/2014
Customer Answer The catch can will not be able to fit in its intended location with the Full-Race Intercooler. That being said, it wouldn't be overly difficult to move its mounting location closer to your truck's headlight in order to get clearance with both components by drilling a new mounting hole into your radiator support.
