5-Star's custom tuning provides your 2015-2017 F150's 5.0L Coyote V8 with some of the best bang-for-your-buck power gains on the market in a simple package that can have your truck churning out massive levels of power and improve its shifting. 5-Star's custom tuning adjusts key parameters and tables within your F150's engine computer so that it squeezes out impressive levels of horsepower and torque without the need for any "hard" bolt-on performance parts. The increased power output is combined with 5-Star's revamped transmission shift points and shift pressures to get rid of the noticeable hesitation in the 5.0L's stock tuning while holding gears longer to maximize power for just about any application. 5-Star's tunes turn up your 2015-2017 F150 5.0L's power by adjusting its fuel curves, ignition timing, fan control, and a ton of other variables so that your truck makes huge amounts of horsepower and torque. 5-Star's custom tuning even takes into account tire size, drivetrain, and axle ratio so that your F150 operates perfectly with your choice of tune. 5-Star's custom tunes are available in several variations for 87, 89, 91, or 93 octane gasoline to give you a wide range of tuning options.
5-Star's Custom Tuning increases the horsepower and torque of your 5.0L V8 all throughout its rev range, creating a noticeable improvement in output whenever you step on the pedal. 5-Star's test truck put down 290 peak horsepower and 290lb-ft of peak torque using its factory tuning. With 5-Star's 93 octane Performance/Tow tune, their truck threw down 315 peak horsepower and nearly 325lb-ft of peak torque, an increase of 25 horsepower and 35lb-ft of torque. Even 5-Star's 87 octane Performance/Tow tune was able to provide a nice increase in power, bringing peak numbers up to 310 horsepower and 315lb-ft of torque, meaning that you can run less expensive fuel while still getting excellent power. The increased power output is paired with heavily revised shift points, shift pressures, and throttle adjustments to greatly improve the responsiveness and acceleration of your 5.0L F150.

Warranty vs. Non-Warranty Tune Note: there is no difference in function, horsepower, or torque between Warrantied Custom Tunes and Non-Warrantied Custom Tunes. The only difference between the two, whatsoever, is that Warrantied Tunes will have less parameters (i.e. tire size, gear ratio, etc) open to end-user adjustment.
Off-Road Exhaust Systems: 5 Star can no longer provide custom tuning for off-road exhaust systems that delete catalytic converters. 5 Star can only tune for catted exhaust systems. However, 5 Star WILL NOT disable your rear oxygen sensors, which may result in a check engine light.
