One of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to our selection of Whipple Supercharger Systems for Mustangs, F150s, SVT Raptors, and Ford Super Dutys is "will this system void my factory Powertrain Warranty?" The answer is always "Yes." The immense power of these Twin-Screw supercharger systems coupled with the way that most people tend to drive supercharged vehicles makes your average Ford dealer, and FoMoCo itself, a bit leery about keeping their Limited Powertrain Warranty around when you drop a blower on your engine. This is a pretty big hurdle to overcome, and keeps a lot of potential buyers out of a supercharger. That's why Whipple has teamed up with Cornerstone Performance to provide an aftermarket powertrain warranty for a low, one-time cost.

Whipple & Cornerstone Warranty

Conerstone offers several different levels of warranty coverage for your Whippled vehicle of choice with a 3-year/36,000 mile supplemental warranty, 3-year/36,000 mile complete warranty, 5-year/60,000 mile complete warranty, or a 5-year/100,000 mile warranty. Your choice of warranty covers up to $8,000 in damages, and all you have to do is print and fill out Whipple's handy Warranty Order Form and mail it in.

Whipple & Cornerstone Warranty Options

The Whipple/Cornerstone Warranty does come with a few restrictions. Payouts are capped at $8,000, your Whipple supercharger needs to be installed at a certified installation shop and paperwork proving that it was needs to be mailed in, only complete kits with tuning qualify for a warranty the order form needs to be sent no later than 30 days after installation of the supercharger system, not all warranty options are available for vehicles over four years old or that have over 50,000 miles on the odometer, and only vehicles of a 2010 model year or newer can qualify for one of these warranties. Feel free to call us at 1-877-578-2433 with any questions or concerns.

I purchased a 2014 Ford Raptor SVT 6.2L. The dealership will be installing the kit. Does this qualify as a certified shop? Can the dealership do the new PCM software upload? thank you

@Marcus: yep. You're good. They're really just looking for shops with ASE-Certified techs.

I guess they aren't doing this anymore? I emailed a tech and he said they do not offer powertrain warranties.

@Johnny: Unfortunately, Whipple is longer offering this program, and it's effectively been canceled.
