Pair of front Bilstein 6112s and rear 5100s
Gas-charged monotube internal designs
High-strength steel bodies with corrosion-resistant finish
Front assemblies feature adjustable ride height with up to 2" of leveling

Huge Improvement in Off-Road Performance and On-Road Handling at a Low Cost
Getting awesome handling ans suspension performance both on and off-road doesn't mean you have to drop a huge chunk of change on a true coilover kit. All you really need is our very own Bilstein 6112 Stage 1 Suspension Package. This awesome package includes a pair of 6112 front coilover assemblies that are capable of adding up to 2" of ride height to your truck, as well as a pair of Bilstein 5100 rear shocks that improve rear end handling and control while being able to handle about 1" of ride height over stock. The 6112 Suspension package is a great way to make your 2015-2020 F150 into an off-road ready without blowing your entire budget on suspension.
Pair of 60mm Strut Assemblies with Adjustable Ride Height and New Coil Spring
The Bilstein 6112 coilover assemblies offer up excellent levels of performance in a package that's far less expensive than a true coilover kit. The 6112s feature a large-diameter shock body with a gas-charged monotube internal design with with digressive valving that allows them to absorb large and violent impacts that you find off the beaten path. The large 60mm diameter (2.36") shock body holds a huge reservoir of oil that helps these shock assemblies resist fade even during aggressive and consistent articulation. The 6112s come standard with a new Bilstein coil spring and a billet lower perch. The 6112s reuse your truck's stock upper mounts and hardware to help provide them with a perfect fit. The 6112s have an adjustable snap ring for adjusting ride height and have 0", .5", 1", 1.5", or 2" ride height settings.
Two Bilstein 5100 Monotube Shocks for Big Handling and Performance Gains on your Truck's Rear
The two Bilstein 5100 rear shocks included in this package serve as awesome general-purpose upgrades over the factory rear shocks. The 5100 rear shocks clean up your F150's rear handling both on the road and off, helping prevent bounce and jounce after bumps in the road while also being able to handle more violent impacts off-road. The 5100s feature a gas-charged monotube internal design with self-adjusting deflective disc valving that gives them a great ride and excellent all-around performance. The 5100s are built out of heavy-duty steel and come with a zinc plated and Triple-C finish to help prevent corrosion. Each shocks comes with a black boot and OE-style rubber bushings.

Installed this kit a few days ago and love the new look it gave my truck. The ride also increased. Now I have a even better looking truck and better ride then before. The install took about 5-6 hours but it was my first time doing it. I definitely wouldn't do it again just didn't wanna pay the cost for someone else to do it. But I would have to recommend that you get it installed professionally if you can. This kit will result in needing an alignment but then again I guess any front end install would. Overall very happy with the outcome. Now I just need bigger tires.

I installed the rear shocks and had the front struts/springs professionally installed followed with an alignment . The stance of the truck is great. The biggest improvement is in the ride and handling. I am pleased with the outcome. I will send a couple pictures at a later date when the weather improves. Thanks again.

Had a local shop install these and they said it wasn't cosmic. I opted to have the front adjusted to the max height. On my truck, it is almost perfectly level (1/2 inch rake) which is what I wanted. At max adjustment, these did raise the front 2 inches. The ride quality is noticeably improved as well, no more of that mushy bouncing of the rear when I go over the slightest bump. In the future, I probably will add-a-leaf to the rear to increase the rake for payload/towing, which may extend the rear more than it is rated for which I have read others have done without issue. For the price, you cannot beat this kit. Would buy again without hesitation.

First of all, the difference in ride quality is night and day. The ride feels closer to that of a BMW than a pickup. Instead of being spongy and soft, the ride feels smooth, planted, and levels out quickly over big bumps. Rear stability while driving at highway speeds is noticeably better. I set my struts at 2” and it gives me just a little rake which I was looking for. The rear shocks were easy to install, but the front was a different story. *I am not a auto mechanic by any means and I do not work on vehicles regularly* Disassembly of the truck was a breeze as well as pulling the coil over and strut assembly out thanks to their 5112 video. The only step I couldn’t complete was installing the boot onto the new coilover and strut because the cheap $26 spring compressor from amazon was not strong enough to compress the bilstien coilovers, but strong enough for the stock ones. That alone should tell you the stiffness difference of the product. Anyways, that’s where I drew the line, reassembled everything to stock, and took it to my mechanic buddy to install. I have only been able to test them on the road for 3,000 miles and I am 100% satisfied with the performance of this product. The price point cannot be beat for what this package delivers. However, I wish I knew the difference between a completed coilover and strut assembly versus the unassembled coilover and strut in this package. I could’ve done a whole assembly swap with no problem. The cost of my mechanic put me up to around the price of the next cheapest assembled coilover and strut package. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to improve the ride quality of their F-150 on a budget.

Great coilovers - definitely a great value. I ran 5100/4600s on my last truck and bought this 6112/5100 kit for this one and the ride is certainly similar - not a huge difference. As for the ride quality, these make for great handling, but you'll definitely feel some of the smaller bumps because of their design. But as the bumps get bigger (as they normally do off-road), the performance increase is noticeable! I didn't love the FX4 shocks because they seemed a little too stiff all-around and my back end was hoping around after bumps, but it doesn't happen almost ever with these. I haven't run Fox, King, etc so I can't really compare, but I can't image there's a better value out there right now when it comes to performance vs. price. Oh also they don't come assembled as the Fox 2.0s do so you'll have to do that yourself. Invest in a quality spring compressor or find one to use somewhere (you'll need it). And make sure you watch the installation videos - they're helpful.

I have had these on my trucks for about a month now and love them! The ride quality is amazing both on and off road. I was debating between the 6112 and 5100's for quite a while but I'm glad that i choose the 6112. The ride height is just about perfect level set at the maximum setting and the truck feels like a truck now. I have had no problem maintaining control at higher speeds in rough off road conditions that would have had my stock suspension bouncing me all over the place with no control.

Great upgrade!!! Definitely can't beat the bang for your buck compared to some other more expensive brands. Bilstein has been around just as long and are just as good IMO. Truck rides so much better now. A little more firm (in a good way) and I feel like I have more control over bigger bumps and railroad tracks. Set my 6112s at the 2 inch setting. I think my back end is barely about a half inch higher now. Perfect for me.

Bilstein 6112 Stage 1 off road suspension package front, rear 5110 rear shocks. Leveled front 2.1 inches. The ride isn’t as bouncy as the stock setup. Great quality, noticeable heft to the shocks compared to factory. The ride quality on pavement isn’t as rough as I thought it would be being this is a stiffer suspension, barely noticeable over the stock shocks. I would buy this again.

I recently installed this Bilstein suspension package on my 2020 F150 and I'm definitely satisfied with the results. The overall ride quality is improved, with less "hop" that F150's exhibit over bumps with stock suspension. The overall fit and finish of this suspension package is top notch, as you would expect from Bilstein. The coilovers are adjustable, though I chose to install mine at the max 2 inch height as I suspect many people do. This eliminated most of the factory rake, and gave my truck the stance I was looking for. To answer the question that many ask, YES, you will need a front end alignment after this kit is installed, which I would highly recommended getting done as soon as possible after installation. I installed this kit myself, but it's worth noting that I'm a professional repair tech, and have have access to a lift, and the necessary tools. This is not a project I would recommend to a novice "do it yourselfer". A quality spring compressor is needed, and there's specific procedures that should be followed so you don't damage the vacuum hubs. If you don't have the knowledge, or access to the proper tools, I would highly recommend you have an experienced, reputable repair facility install this kit. All of the required contents came neatly packaged, and all necessary hardware was supplied. Instructions are also included, but they mainly pertain to coilover height adjustment and how the coilover is assembled. The suspension on my 2020 F150 is very similar to what my 08 Expedition had, so for me it was just a matter of going through the motions. If you're looking to level your F150, and want to go a little higher budget than spacers, I think this suspension package is worth every penny. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome setup. Absolutely love it. Ride quality is improved over stock, even with the truck riding on 20x12, -51mm offset and 33x12.5R20 tires. I haven't tested the ride with the stock wheels but I'm sure it will be even better. The install was a little more difficult that expected, but the end result is awesome. My truck is dead level with the coilovers set at .5" and a 2" spacer puck on top of the coilovers. Getting the actual shock/coilover assembly in place is a bit tedious but definitely doable in your garage with basic hand tools. After the install and alignment, the truck drives great. Everyone who has driven my truck says its a much better ride compared to other lifted trucks they've owned/driven. Great option if you want to spend the money on something better than just a leveling spacer.

Love these shocks ride is a little firm not to bad just enough to let you know they are there. Body roll is greatly reduced and they handle large bumps with no problems. Also helps with towing. I put them on the 1.5 setting and love the look I would recommend these to anyone.

Install fairly simple. Staged 3 has a good video to review: Ride is a firmer than stock around town. Stock was pretty plush. But upside is more stable ride. Much better on tight turns an definitely better driving up the mountain roads.

Out of the box the quality of the shocks and struts are amazing. They feel solid and built to last. I know they will continue to look nice over the years of use. If you like the way your truck rides and it's a street queen then I would just get spacers. These are firmer than stock but not harsh. I loved the way the stock suspension road but I know this new set up will handle more off road abuse and it feels more solid and truck like. Installation tips we found it best to leave the upper strut bolts in. This made it much easier to free the strut from the LCA. The passenger side for us was more difficult and had to remove the axle bolt to get more space. We didn't have to touch the driver side axle bolt. If you have 4WD and need to remove the axle bolt the torque spec is 15ft lbs. I unfortunately took someone else's advice of 100ft lbs and didn't double check until I snapped the passenger axle bolt. I don't want you to spend over $600 at your local dealer like I did to fix it.

I only have a couple hundred miles on these shocks so far but they are great. I was worried they would be really stiff on the 2” setting but I think they ride great. I have 34” wildpeaks which are not a light tire and I never feel like I’m bouncing around. Nice and planted. I think the shock specific spring definitely helps instead of using oem springs like with the 5100s up front. I had a shop install them so I cannot comment on installation. My only complaint is the shocks were not packaged well for shipping. Multiple holes in the boxes and struts poking through. Like they fell out the back of the shipping truck. Luckily nothing was broke. All in all I would buy these again, I’ve had good experience with bilsteins.

Two years! That's how long I researched which kit to use. Let me say I think it's worth the thought and time I put into it. I have 1000 miles split between road dirt and ice. Let me say wow. So planted even when I push it on washboard whoops and dips. I have a brush guard and aftermarket steel skids. This thing handles the extr weight so well I'm going to add a whinch.

I have to say after getting this kit installed yesterday that the difference felt driving on my dirt road is night and day. There is so much more control over rough/washboard sections and going around corners the truck stays planted without the excessive lean it had before. Just one day in, but so far these knock it out of the park for ride and price.

Absolutely love having these on my truck. They are night and day different than stocks in a good way. Slightly stiffer but they almost eliminate body role and make all sizes if bumps smooth. Installation is easy enough to do on your own, but I recommend having the struts compressed by a shop. I took mine off on a Friday night and brought them to the local shop on Saturday morning, then had them back on the truck in a couple of hours. Highly recommend!

These will not increase the factory travel length as they are designed to fit in place of the factory struts. If you are looking to add back some of the downward travel you lose then leveling your F150, than an aftermarket set of longer uca like BDS, Grimm, or Icon are long and will add back the small amount of downward travel you lose when leveling with stock uca.

If I want to lift my truck in front 2". And the rear 2,25" . Will I need a rear block? Or this kit would do the job? Please help, I am confused.
Asked by:
Salah
- 9/8/2021
This kit does not give your truck any rear lift on its own. The rear shocks can handle up to 2" of additional rear lift over stock, but to get that lift, you'd need either a larger rear block, add-a-leaf kit, shackles, or aftermarket leaf packs. Since the shocks can only handle up to 2" of lift, you'd be able to use a 1.5" to 2" Add-a-Leaf or up to a 3" rear block.

So with the 6112's are they limited to 2" of total lift. I was curious why most sites claim you can achieve 2.75" of lift when maxed out. But perhaps that doesn't apply to the 15-20 F150?
Asked by:
Jackson
- 4/19/2021
The 2.75" lift figure is the max for the Bilstein 6112s as a whole on SOME applications. Other sites only copy-paste from Bilstein's site and don't do their own research. On the 2015-2020 F150s, the 6112s are only capable of providing 2" of lift.

Bilstein's site states "providing 0-2.75 inches of front lift (depending on application)", however, the F150s are not one of those applications, and the front coilover assemblies will only add up to 2" of ride height on 2015-2020 F150s.

At 2" of ride height, probably not. However, all tire fitments are entirely dependent on what wheel you're running (specifically its width, backspacing, and offset), as well as the width of the tire. In general, you will not be able to fit a 35" tire on a 2017 F150 without a good amount of trimming on a 2" level, especially if you're looking at 35x12.50" tires.

Do these rear shocks have to be adjusted since they say from 0-1: lift, or do they just bolt on? Also, I see in the picture the boot closer the bottom mount. Is this the way they mount, or does the boot go toward the top?
Asked by:
Chris
- 6/18/2020
The rear shocks themselves do not add any ride height to your truck. They can handle up to a 1" rear lift, but the only ways to lift a leaf-sprung, solid-axle vehicle is with larger rear blocks, add-a-leaf kits, lift shackles, or aftermarket leaf packs. Since the shocks are a monotube design, their orientation doesn't technically matter. However, we generally recommend using a barrel-up, shaft-down orientation, since you're less likely to damage the shaft to the point of causing a seal failure (especially when using a boot) than you are to puncture the barrel.

You could probably get away with the 5100s if you're going fairly light off-road. That being said, going with the 6112s will give you a bit more longevity and let you go a little faster off-road without beating yourself up. As far as tire size is concerned, you'll probably see a bit of rub with either wheel option, though you'll have more with a 0mm or 01mm offset.

Is it possible to run this setup with an existing 2.5” strut spacer, and the factory rear blocks removed without running into any problems?
Asked by:
RyanB
- 4/15/2020
This kit would probably not be ideal with that particular setup. You'd be fine on the front, as long as you're using the 6112s at their 0" factory ride height setting. You'll probably run into an issue on the rear, though. The shocks are meant for 4WD trucks that have the stock rear block in place. If you have the rear block removed, your better bet would be to use the RWD version of the 5100 rear shock so that they're in a more optimal travel range.

It seems like there is a lot of angle with the stock upper control arms. Is it advisable to replace with aftermarket uca's when using this coilover package?
Asked by:
Dirka
- 3/24/2020
Keep in mind, those photos are taken off-road on uneven ground to show off the coilover assemblies. In general, at 2" your UCA angles are not thrown off that dramatically, and if you're only using your truck on the street or for light off-roading, then an aftermarket UCA isn't really that necessary. If you are going to be going off-road fairly often or pushing your truck kind of hard, we generally recommend getting an aftermarket UCA of some sort.

You'd probably fix chances of rub on the crash bars, but adding wheel spacers could lead to rub on your valance (though that could be fixed with minor trimming). If you want to avoid all chances of rub and trimming, your best bet would be a 33x11.50" tire or close metric equivalent.

Asked by:

Travel distance won't really matter, since you throw your suspension geometry off either way. Ride quality is going to be somewhat effected by your spring perch setting though, since the 6112s use spring preload for their ride height gains. Ideally, you probably want to set the 6112s at their .5" ride height setting and use a 2.5" spacer if you want to maximize ride quality.

The 6112s offer 2.75" of ride height "on some applications" (Bilstein's verbiage, not mine). The 2015-2019 F150s are not one of them, and these coilover assemblies are only capable of up to 2" of lift using their out-of-the-box snap ring settings. If you want more ride height, then you'd have to pair the 6112s with a leveling spacer to get the ride height combination you want.

Technically, no, other than that 1/2" spacers are usually a pain to deal with. Your better bet would be to run the 6112s at a 0" factory ride height and use a 2.5" leveling kit of some sort. That way you keep preload off the coil spring and won't have to trim the upper mounting studs like you need to do on some 1/2" spacers.

Aluminum-bodies shocks radiate heat better than steel, but the remote reservoir on the 5160s makes up for that deficiency.

How would you compare these to the Falcon tow/sport shocks in terms of ride and performance on and off road, excluding towing since I know the Falcons probably shine in that aspect?
Asked by:
Paul
- 2/4/2019
We finally did an install on the Falcon shocks and took them off-road this past week. The Falcons did well, but they're still hard to justify from a bang-for-your-buck perspective, considering this kit is half their price and even harder if you go with the 5160s. You won't be unhappy with the Falcons off-road, but the Bilstein 6112s and 5110s/5160s do just about everything as well as TeraFlex's hardware does at a much lower price.

Would you recommend running this setup with BFGs All terrains KO2 305/55r20 using stock rims on a 2018 f150 Platinum FX4?
Asked by:
ROBERTO G
- 1/20/2019
You should be able to clear that wheel and tire combination and not see rubbing during normal street driving, though you may get a bit when turning and articulating off-road.

Would these be better than the 5100 leveling struts for towing a large travel trailer or are they more for off road use?
Asked by:
Mike
- 12/20/2018
Rear shocks make more of a difference in towing than the front strut assemblies, but even then there's not really a huge reason to go with the 5100s over the 5160 rear shocks or the 6112s over the 5100s for a purely towing application.

Can the circlip/snapring be relocated to a different setting after installation and without complete removal?(ie. compressing the spring, relocating circlip to a different groove, decompressing spring, repeat on other side and lower truck) Cheers!
Asked by:
Jordan
- 12/19/2018
Not easily, and we don't recommend it. The springs really push hand-held compressors to their breaking points (sometimes literally), and we strongly recommend using a floor-mount or wall-mount spring compressor for safety reasons.

I own a F150 2018 platinum short bed 4WD, is this the right kit for my truck? I just want to be sure of it. I am from Mexico City but I will be in San Antonio Texas for Christmas, where do you recommend me to have them installed near San Antonio? I need to have them profesionaly installed as well as alignment done for the trip back home.
Asked by:
HECTOR ORTIZ R
- 12/6/2018
This package will fit your F150. Install of this kit isn't overly difficult and any shop with a few ASE-certified techs should be able to handle the installation. The kit will take roughly 4 hours of labor to install.

I currently have this set up on my 2017 F150 (SCREW 4X4), but would like to have a 6 inch lift. Can it be done with this set up? If so, what would be the best way this can be achieved?
Asked by:
Junior
- 7/6/2018
You can run a lift kit with the front strut assemblies by simply setting them to their lowest 0" ride height setting and using them in conjunction with a lift kit's strut spacers. However, the rear shocks are not long enough for a 6" lift, and you'd have to find another solution.

In the Stage 1 kit, will the snap ring on the front struts need to be set at 0" and the 2" of lift will come from the included springs or will there be a small addition of lift from the springs and then have to pick what position the snap ring goes in?
Asked by:
Blake
- 6/4/2018
The snap ring settings alone decide the amount of front lift you get out of the front strut assemblies. The spring does not play a role in where the snap rings should be placed for a given ride height.

Will this kit work on a 2WD? Thanks!
Asked by:
James
- 5/10/2018
Technically, all the components in this kit will bolt up to a 2WD/RWD truck, however, you will get slightly more ride height out of the front assemblies than what they're rated for on a 4WD truck, and we recommend that you run the rear shocks in conjunction with either a block from a 4WD truck or an aftermarket 1.5" rear block. If you'd like a similar package with the RWD/2WD rear shocks, give us a call directly at 623-434-5277.

How do these compare to the similarly priced Fox 2.0s?
Asked by:
Jake
- 3/26/2018
We haven't tried the 6112s on one of our own trucks as of yet, so we don't have any personal experience. From the specs, the Bilstein 6112s would arguably have better off-road performance thanks to their larger shock body, and folks are reporting that they still ride pretty great on the street. Their only real downside versus the Fox 2.0 coilovers is that the 6112s are a lot tougher to install, since you need a spring compressor and to transfer over the stock mounts. For the rear shocks, the Fox 2.0s are just better all-around than the 5100s due to being larger, having aluminum bodies vs. steel, and all while having similar on-road ride quality. Still, either the 5100s or the Fox 2.0 rear shocks are huge improvements over stock, and you can't go wrong with either.
